the kiss and throw animation would actually be so good for the games. I definitely see it as the one that'd be popular in gen 10

When wearing a cap in Splatoon, the haircuts that don't fit with caps are slightly altered so that they fit. Maybe Pokémon could do something like that as well ?

@@pef_v6107 One theoretical solution would be to compartmentalize each hair zone (top crown, middle, back, sides, bangs) and then toggle them off where the intersection occurs

I'd love the whole "bangs, sideswept, or nothing" thing expanded on, more styles of bangs and on more hairstyles,

So ball throw animations actually originated in Gen 7. The animation where you cup the ball with both hands and toss it up was originally more like a granny shot than what it is in Scarlet and Violet. I think there's 1 or 2 more that weren't carried over either.

@@Substitube That's totally fair. The NPC that allowed you to change it was in a weird, out-of-the-way place (specifically out by the Malie City Recycling Plant), so it'd be easy to miss. Also looking into it, the main thing that didn't get carried over was Nihilist style (EDIT: A few NPCs still use it in Scarlet and Violet, but players can't, which is dumb). The old Smug style was also VERY different, but tbf the current one is significantly better. Still would be nice if the old one was an option though.

Having the option to use a different kind of phone like a Poryphone, a replica Arc Phone, or that one Thorton uses could be a cool extra customization option

Would be cool can choose how wear the mega stone in pokemon ZA, based in other iconic trainers, a ring, a necklace, a bracelet, a glove, a hairclip, a belt, a brooch even the mega glasses of magno, also normmal glasses

I think there should be more ‘small’ accessories like earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, nail polish

I have an idea: NEW Pokémon Customization Idea! yep, outside of contests, we want Holowear, and those Eevee costumes from Lets Go, onto all (or most) Pokémon in the main series. think about it this way: you are preparing for the final battle, so you go into a Pecharunt's (the name of the Pokémon clothing shop) and buy a cool hat for your Rhydon. the hat does nothing but it makes your Rhydon look cool. pls pls pls do this Substitube.

I have some ideas for new encounters methods. -Imagine you can use moves like sunny day or rainy day to change the Pokémon you can encounter on a route, like for example using rainy day would make Pokemon who like this kind of weather appear and the other ones hide. This also can be used with other types of moves which I will call "exploration moves", like dig which you can use on places with sand to discover Pokémon that are hiding. The idea is to make it like the animal searching works in real life. -Also following footprints on the ground (like real life tracking that animal hunters use) or finding random Pokemon nests on the wild where you can leave a type of trap or something -Make some Pokemon migrate during certain seasons, so you can find them on different spots of the region depending on the season

more fishing like method, set a bait for land pokemon, a play a bird song for bird, dig fot under ground pokemon, etc.

i think foundation to alter skin to unnatural colors like in the miitopia port would be cool

It would be cool to bring back the custom clothes from the past games. They can still have the basic ones like the T-shirt/blouse and short pants/skirt. SwSh does have T-shirts like in the 3DS Pokémon games, but SwSh only has the designer printed T-shirts. Always a good idea to be sex dimorphic to justify the boy or girl option, to keep the characters from looking too much of the same. Otherwise, you going to have to make the game have you go back to playing as a boy like RGBY and GS. The Trainer Class clothes are also cool that fans would love to mix them up a bit.

We should be able to get an in-world fashion magazine and ask for hair from different characters. More hair colors would be amazing. I played PLA as Mitsumi from the Diamond and Pearl Adventure manga...or I would have if they let me pick green hair. So many people in PLA have green hair so why can't I?! The "scuff marks" are supposed to be a sign of youth. No i don't know why.

Honestly something I would love for Pokémon to do would be to have the option to change your character’s name midway through your playthrough. Like you’d have the option to go into your trainer card menu and change your name. You can already change your Pokémon’s nicknames so I don’t think it would be that difficult to implement? I know I’m like the nichest of markets here but I think it would be nice. Also bringing back the ability to throw pokeballs left handed (preferably without having to do something special first like they did in Gen 7).

thanks! The avatar is still a work in progress. I have the limbs and ears on individual layers so in the future I can add more expressive animations to it, rather than just swaying back and forth

Great suggestions, I'm really not sure why Game Freak is so hesitant with fleshing out character customization, and not just in regards to trainers. I'd love to be able to customize Pokemon as well, just with simple accessories like the B&W Musicals. It would be a lot of work to define the body regions for each Pokemon, but I think it's a huge missed opportunity to emphaisze your Pokemon's uniqueness as well as deepen your bond. They could go even further and add color, size, and pattern variation in individual Pokemon, or alter a Pokemon's resting expression depending on their personality, though that's extending beyond just character customization.

Imagine if the Pokémon games could "translate" your personal Mii into a trainer design. God, that would be cursed and a nightmare to program, but awesome.

Something that I always wanted to see in a mainline Pokemon game yet for some weird reason hasn't happened yet despite them being around for so long is Amiibo support. I mean we already have a few Pokemon Amiibos thanks to Super Smash Bros. It would be awesome to have the player character wear some type of Pokemon themed outfit. Were Game Freak that burned by the failure of the E-Reader in North America that much to not give Amiibo a fair shake? Despite the latter doing well in terms of sales.

hmmm....It changes quite frequently between: Cubone+Alolan Marowak, Lycanroc, Scyther, and Aerodactyl. Sometimes Toxicroak. If the substitute doll were a real Pokemon though I'd obviously choose it heheh

Why aren't the same customization options available to the Pokémon ? They should at least be given some customization options, especially in the Mystery Dungeon games.
