I feel like it's the most and least accurate showcase of the term. Instead of just so happening to look like Pikachu it's actively trying to manufacture Pikachu's success. It's the one trying the most to be Pikachu and I think that's where the disparity lies.

Mimikyu is the devs playing around on the whole Pikaclone thing. What's more impressiva is that the idea was that it failed in becoming a Pikaclone, but, at the same time, it was the most successful in achieving the Pikaclone objective. So, I'd say that, while it isn't a Pikaclone by definition, it's effectively a Pikaclone.

Mimikyu is and isn't a Pikaclone. It was (partially) made to poke fun at Pikachu's popularity and how other pikaclones were made to manufacture that same popularity, but even though it's self aware, it's existence still was to achieve that same goal: to manufacture Pikachu's popularity. Plus, if we aren't counting Mimikyu as a pikaclone, where do we draw the line? Is Marill a pikaclone? Is Pichu a pikaclone?

@@cultofmel While I like to joke around with the "Pikablu" moniker, Marill definitely isn't a Pikaclone. As for Pichu, it ticks all the boxes for what a Pikaclone is. An Electric rodent introduced after Pikachu that shares very similar design quirks. The only problem is it's Pikachu's pre evolution. Unlike the others, it has to look somewhat like Pikachu.

I also really liked sword and shield. Probably mostly because they were my first Pokémon games and I was younger. Although, I found dynamax (and yes, the gyms too!) really cool and the style of the games was appealing to me.

Game Freak got rid of the game corner because of PEGI. If the game corner stayed the games would’ve been rated 17+ like the virtual console versions of Gens 1 & 2 where since PEGI changed the way they calculate their ratings about 2009-2010-ish.

Pretty much. Also to add onto this: it's TECHNICALLY not considered gambling if you get SOMETHING with every play and you never have a "loss" where you get nothing at all, even if there's randomness involved. That's why the Pokemon TCG exists, why Pokemon Masters exists, and why features like the Cram-O-Matic that have heavy RNG elements still exist and don't drive up the rating. They feel like gambling, but based on the way the law is written, they're not.

That is now putting on biased glasses and just choosing to overlook EVERYTHING GOOD the games did for the franchise, just to focus on how "pretty" it is (or I guess "ugly", since you're all bitching about it so much). Everyone who loves the games aren't disregarding the performance side of it. We acknowledge that they fucked up MASSIVELY in releasing it (which blame that on TPC's STUPID AS HELL "must have a Pokemon game release every single year because we need the holiday revenue" mentality). But what we also are doing is acknowledging EVERYTHING ELSE the games have done, and THAT is why we love SV so much. Cherry picking elements and disregarding the rest is NOT how you give criticism towards something. You have to see the WHOLE picture, not just one aspect of it. That's also why we love Legends Arceus so much. Is the game, in essence, very basic and bare-boned? Yes, it absolutely is. Is it still a super fun game that I love going back to constantly despite its simplicity? ABSOLUTELY YES!!! And is why everyone is excited for Legends Z-A and what that game is gonna have in store for us.

If I were ranking all of the Pokemon games, S/V would be solidly mid-tier, but my point is that it would be high or maybe even top tier if it wasn't for those technical flaws.

@@arandomcommenter0135 Tbh, no game will ever be as embarrassing as Sword and Shield(to the point that I could compare it to Sonic Forces) which is saying alot considering my overall dislike for X/Y with how much of a step back that game was in terms of everything just to accommodate mobile gamers excluding the supertraining. Unlike Scarlet and Violet it did nothing to advance anything with little redeeming qualities excluding how TMs and TR's were handled. Though in my opinion besides some of the characters like Piers, the best thing to come out of that game was the Eternatus fight. At most Scarlet and Violet was just the boiling point of the outdated yearly release date culture TPC keeps enforcing which is pissing everyone off.

Your reasoning for linking Scarlet and Violet more than Sword and Shield makes sense, if you had friends to play with I can totally understand why it would be fun, but I didn't, I was excited by that feature but couldn't take advantage of it as I don't have Online, and couldn't meet up with friends that had the games. Scarlet & Violet felt so lifeless to me when interacting with the world in comparison to SwSh, the colours felt bland, the world feels empty, the npcs just disappear, the buildings aren't explorable they're just menus. The gameplay was fine for me with Sw & Sh, but with Scarlet & Violet (though it wasn't as bad as I've seen it be for some) was quite laggy and I experienced a few odd performance issues. There are definitely good things too, such as updated models on many Pokemon and little improvements such as Blastoise actually using it's water cannons, but they still diminish that as a lot of move animations were made worse such as moves like Pyro Ball and Behemoth Blade, moves from the previous games. I still liked the games, but they're not as good as the Gen 8 games for these reasons imo, they needed more time in development.

X and y are my favorite gen, emolga is my favorite pika clone and feraligatr is the best gen 2 starter and Typhlosion is my least favorite fire starter. COME AT ME!!!! Edit: so apparently I’m based but I have one that will make you SEETHING in rage… I don’t mind the 3d models of Pokémon, some of them I like like charizard, lugia and blastoise, even the before the scarlet and violet models. I did both, I loved playing it but after I beat the game the only thing keeping me there was Paulo being my 2nd favorite character ever (The fact that his edgyness was enough to consume a Pokemon and make him become "The Last Evil" just because I existed made me want to be the best rival ever, which is one of the best feelings of all time)

I wish more people could freely express their popular opinions without being attacked. Like, they're just opinions and everyone is entitled to them, and it doesn't mean we can't be friends with people who disagree. I say this as someone who's been attacked for having unpopular opinions in my youtube videos despite not even having 200 subs... some people just take opinions too personally. Like, I love Typhlosion and don't think it's bland at all but I respect your opinion. Now for my own unpopular Pokemon opinions: -Cynthia is the Charizard of trainers, she's overrepresented and overhyped for not being THAT much of a challenge, and I'll always resent her for also being the most powerful trainer in the Unova games while making the champions super weak in comparison. -I don't believe in the Blue's Raticate Dying theory, he just switched it out for better Pokemon. -I really hate the way a lot of media treats the female protags in comparison to the male ones, in the anime May, Dawn and Serena are all contest trainers instead of serious battlers and in the specials more directly based on the games they only feature the male protagonists. As someone who always plays the female trainer I just wish they would showcase them being badass battlers. -Aside from no Battle Frontier, ORAS were really good remakes on par with HGSS. -Leon should have been the main villain in SwSh and Rose should have been a fakeout villain who ended up helping you in the end.

Here's one unpopular opinion:The theory of Venonat and Metapod's evolutions being swapped is COMPLETE BUNK, catepillars become butterflies and moths, but butterflies are the more known comparison and also why would a nat become a butterfly?

Honestly out of the 3 friend characters from scarlet and violet penny has the least screen time and we don’t get enough of her so I understand how she is not as fleshed out. I still like her character.

My unpopular opinions: Black&White wasn’t that bad of a series & Goh was a good character who didn’t deserve a lot of the hate he got for doing what most of us do in the games.

When it comes to the Game Corner being missing, blame PEGI. Their ratings rules would greatly bump up the age rating for the games. This lead to the VC versions of the GB games getting their rating being bumped up to to PEGI 12, which is basically the same as the ESRB's T rating. Game Freak didn't want the games to get such an age rating to be bumped up from 3+ to 12+ due to the Game Corner, so they had to remove it from later games.

Recently used it in Pokemon Crystal and it did pretty good in my opinion. Is it fast? No. Is it strong offensively? No. But what it does, it does well. If it wasn't taking down a key Pokemon with a surprise crit Razor Leaf, it was crippling them with moves like PoisonPowder (which at times finished them off before my opponent could heal them) or setting up Light Screen to weaken their attacks that if it wasn't there, some of my other Pokemon wouldn't have survived. It was awesome!

one thing that confused me is that people criticize the chibi artsyle of brilliant diamond and shining pearl meanwhole the links awakening remake did the exact same chibi artstyle and i hear no one complaining when they did

2:01 I wouldn't say I don't like Penny, she's alright. What I do have a problem with is the Team Star storyline as a whole. The messages it tries to give are good but the execution falls flat. Firstly, because this is a Pokemon game, we're stuck with the game telling us how bad the bullying got instead of showing us what happened which I feel would be more effective. Secondly, there is literally not a single character who bullied the Team Star members still around. No teachers who were there when it happened. It feels like Pokemon doesn't really want to showcase the aftermath of Team Star's payback and how those people who bullied or ignored them react today. Imagine instead of Clavell being a new director trying to figure out what happened a year ago, he was the person that failed them a year ago and now feels responsible for so many school members possibly at risk of being expelled. It adds more to his character and even adds a couple more layers to it. He wasn't always this goofy director who actively tries to learn more about his students. That only came after the dismissiveness he showed and now sees the consequences of.

Agreed. I actually wanted to see who the bullies were, the teachers at the time, hell even the deputy that destroyed the evidence. Would have been an interesting game if you did meet them and had to challenge them to clear Team Star's name (or at least a DLC with that if it hadn't been dealt with during the game already)

Regarding scarlet and violet, alot of people do generally agree that the game is fun the problem lies in just how unoptimized the games feel and how poorly the switch handles the environment models in the over-world. Also regarding the art style in legends arceus, the problem with the art style is the switch hardware itself as the game looks so much better when emulated properly so if you have a good enough pc try usibg a switch emulator and see how that feels. Opinion time: the anime opening music peaked in the hoenn series. It seems 4kids had been working to improve the music up until that point and the OP themes show the improvement from jhoto and kanto.

Unpopular opinion of mine is. I think the Galarian forms of the legendary birds from Kanto should have kept their elemental typings instead of their flying typings when only ONE of them flies naturally. Galarian Zapdos can't even fly, Galarian Articuno flies around using psychic powers, and Galarian Moltres is the only one that's actually flying. They are flying type because they are birds and that's literally the only reason they have the flying type when Fighting Electric, Psychic ice, and Dark Fire make perfect sense when looking at their designs.

At the bare minimum, Thunderous Kick and Fiery Wrath should’ve paralyzed and burned respectively. Instead they’re just retyped Fire Lash and spread Dark Pulse. Freezing Glare is the only one that understood the assignment

I completely agree with this. I remember hoping that the Galarian birds would keep their elemental typings, and being disappointed when I found out that they’re all part Flying. It’s especially bad with Zapdos, because that’s one more Pokémon that could’ve been Electric/Fighting before gen 9, and IT DOESN’T EVEN FLY.

I feel like I should mention that Galarian Zapdos CAN fly. It’s described as a poor flier, not flightless, there is a difference. Additionally it can, in fact, learn Fly. So Flying isn’t unjustified. Plus, they’re supposed to be misleading. They got their names for certain traits that, on the surface, are similar to the og birds. This makes even more sense when you consider their Japanese names: Freezer, Thunder, and Fire. Articuno petrifies others, akin to freezing. The sound of Zapdos’s feathers rubbing together as it runs sounds like thunder. And Moltres’s victims look like burned out husks, as though burned by fire. I wouldn’t say forgiven, more like opportunity under the guise of punishment. Geeta forces her to upgrade the league’s net security and basically become a white-hat hacker by proxy, even giving Penny an employment offer for the league that she can accept once she graduates. I suppose Geeta felt some blame was on herself too, being the director of the school board, and the whole mess that happened to start Team Star was extremely mishandled by the previous school staff, so perhaps she wanted to make it up to Penny somehow while still upholding the rules.

My unpopular opinion is that Alain deserved his Kalos League win. Here’s why: 1. He’d trained and won against multiple Mega Evolutions by that point. He knew how to deal with a Pokémon on Ash’s Greninja’s power level. 2. I’m pretty sure Ash Greninja did NOT have the type advantage, because Mega Charizard X is Fire Dragon. 3. Alain probably trained more with his Charmander than Ash did with Froakie because he had it for longer. 4. If Ash won the Kalos League, the writers probably would’ve found it awkward to continue his character. 5. Alain probably went through a lot emotionally working for Team Flare and probably would’ve been looked down on even more by Lysandre if he lost the league, so his win felt kinda satisfying to me. I respect y’all’s opinions on this, but I think the Alain slander is a bit much, even almost ten years later 😭

I agree... Legends Arceus' art style is a huge part of why the graphics look so low quality. Good stylization can make a low graphics game look great, but its also true on the opposite side of the spectrum. If you mess up the stylization it will always look bad no matter what you do. And I feel like people use the stylization as an excuse for why the graphics are so lackluster, like "duh its a stylization choice, THAT'S why the trees look like that!" It just doesn't hold up imo.

Unpopular opinion, I love Beheyeem so much.

Goh isn't hated because he takes the spotlight from Ash, it's that he does what Ash SHOULD have been doing. I.E. catching full evolved Pokemon and having several Pokemon we wanted Ash to have. AND, a lot of his captures were way too easy. He caught a fully evolved Flygon, Golurk, Darmanitan and even Suicune and Regieleki. Captures that should be reserved for only the most powerful and recognized of trainers. Goh is not one of them, he was literally a noob trainer like a few months ago. Basically, his development was rushed and he got a lot of special treatment he didn't earn though hard work and dedication. Plus Project Mew didn't end very well, why not just give him Mew at the end...? Goh is probably never going to return to the anime, so why not have him reach his goal since Ash reached his?

I guess if I had to put in an unpopular opinion SV (base game) is great. That’s not including the dlc. And that’s not including kitikami or indigo disk. I’d go as far as to say the dlc killed any potential area zero and Terapagos had to be like, more interesting. (Though AZ is pretty interesting, terapagos…didn’t get too much screen time…)

I do agree with the whole thing about SV being better games then SwSh. SV is imo a 7/10 that gets brought down to a 5/10 because of poor optimization and bugs, whereas SwSh itself is just a 5/10. Imterestingly my main isaues with the switch games still apply to both (little to do that isnt battling, permanent exp share, basically having the post-game locked behind a pay wall)

2:58 I respect the video and the opinions, but you did NOT have to do my bro Ed dirty. Anyways my own hot take is that X and Y were good pokemon games, and a good way to transition into 3D. Yeah, some of the animations are dull and the games are easy without too much post game content. But for how many things they added to the series, it’s kinda hard to complain about. They added battle gimmicks other than “look, more pokemon :3”, easy Ev training, clothing customization, DIAGONAL MOVEMENT, convenient internet use, easy friendship bonding, a 3D model of every released pokemon along with an idle animation, more movement options, riding on pokemon, and so much more. Yeah, the pokemon aren’t as bright compared to generation 5, but at least in terms of animation, it’s more polished because they’re not just manipulating parts of a static image, leaving stray pixels and dis-attached limbs.

My personal interpretations (only on the first few): 0: I find Barry annoying but I don't outright hate him 1: I agree, pachisu & emolga especially 2: I love cyndaquil, but I get what you mean about them not standing out. Except my opinions on meganium and chicorita are the opposite to yours) 3: no opinion tbh 4: Absolutely, yeah 5: he's an interesting character concept but I haven't watched the season he's in 6: I've never played it 💀

I obsess over characters that I can relate to, like Goh and N. Goh managed to put in words what I couldn't explain for years (the talk with Drizzile) and N is a long story. I feel recognized by these characters and understood, and I hold onto these for dear life. I understand what you mean, I've seen the other side of the fandom that obsesses over characters and it's...concerning, to say the least, but having a character that reflects me brings me so much joy and so I obsess over them

I love how a franchise who’s primary message is peace, love and the power of friendship is riddled with fans who do the opposite. I just like Pokemon and enjoying Pokemon games and videos.

Neat opnions! I'm in agreement that at times it's hard to tell what is and isn't an unpopular opinion, so I'll give three-ish ones that I feel lean unpopular. As a warning some of these can get long, and I apologize if I drag on 1. The Pokémon Adventures manga is not as dark as some people make it out to be. Now what I'm saying is not "Pokémon Adventures isn't dark", because it certainly can get dark, but what I'm saying is that I have a bit of a disagreement with the way I feel some of the western fandom talks about it. I feel like with the way some people talk about it, you'd get the impression its this super dark manga, but from all I've read (Kanto, Ruby and Sapphire, Sinnoh, some of Unova) and what I've generally observed from the remaining chapters, it just isn't. I'd probably say what also sticks out about Adventures are its heartfelt, funny, or even chill moments. A chapter that still sticks with me is the chapter when Red and Blue(M) accidentally swap Pokémon, something rather simple with the biggest consequence being Blue's Machoke evolving into Machamp. I personally feel what can make some of those darker moments stick out is because of how they can stand out. It also doesn't exactly help that the panel of Arbok getting sliced by Blue's Charmeleon is something that while I get why it's infamous, I feel gets hyped way too much. Now I can imagine the response to a lot of this point is "Well it's Pokémon, of course it seems dark". I feel like that only strengthens my argument in some cases like Kalos or Galar. Of course getting chased out of your home town by Xerneas and Yveltal while being drawn way from the world is darker than XY's start. Again I'm not saying Pokémon Adventures isn't dark. There are a number of moments I can point to as dark, this is more of a counter argument that Adventures is a super dark manga. Speaking of Adventures, that leads me into my next point. 2. The Pokémon Adventures manga is not underrated. It seems like I have it out for Adventures, but I really don't. I enjoy it a lot, and I wish more people got the chance to read at least one arc of the manga. However, I feel like it really isn't underrated for 2 reasons. A. It feels like a lot of people who read the manga end up loving it. It kinda reminds me of Kid Icarus Uprising. A game I really enjoy and would consider one of the best games I've ever played, buy I don't know how I could consider it underrated because it feels like it just about anyone who plays it enjoys it. Now to say everyone who played Uprising enjoyed it is wrong and the same thing can be said for Adventures, but I feel like you might be getting what I'm trying to say. B. Look at what your comparing it to. I won't deny Adventures has well written characters and great stories, but look at what your comparing it to. Congrats you have 3 regions as competition, and Alola and Paldea have only popped up in the last 7 years, meaning until 2016, Unova was the one game that could compete with Adventures. 3. This is a two in one, but I don't get Marnie's popularity and Hau is underrated. I don't know how much this leans into unpopular, but I feel like with the amount of alts Marnie has in Masters, and Hau's split view in the fandom, I feel like this means it has some view of contention. After my two longer comments, I'll put this one a bit more concise way. To me, Marnie showing up only every so often never really made that much of an impression on me compared to Hop essentially being the 2nd main character, and Bede's attitude and his change under Opal even if it is rushed. It doesn't exactly help Marnie is connected to Team Yell, which is to me one of the worst evil teams whose only saving grace is Piers. At times it feels like what's driving Marnie's popularity is her design, which I will admit is pretty good, or the shipping scene.(Then again that could be applied to a lot of characters) With Hau, I just kinda like how much of a friend he is to the player. He also does go through his own development that is done a lot better in the Ultra games. To me he's just a solid character who gets ragged on because he's a friendly rival, and on the rival end, I can understand not liking him and while I would not say they are the same character, Hop definitely did his arc better. If you read through all this, I genuinely have to say thank you!

I honestly think that Nemona is the best rival out of all of them, though that may be because I’ve only ever played the switch games, Violet first, but I think Nemona is amazing even if she is a “kind rival”. Also she uses Pawmo and Orthworm, two of my favorite paldean Pokemon, so she deserves it. I also think she has a pretty good story herself, though it is mostly locked behind the postgame. On top of this, I think that Scarlet and Violet are, if not the best Pokemon game, in the top 3. The open world definitely helps, it has a good story, it doesn’t make it hard to access items and evolutions. My only complaint would be that you can’t select moves using the right joystick, but that’s mostly a non-issue. Plus, out of all Pokemon games, I don’t think it would be much of a stretch to say it’s the best game to come back to, in the sense that it’s fun even after the story has ended. The shiny hunting is easy, the battles are fun, the only thing I’d add is daily trainer and gym leader rematches. I know that blueberry academy’s invite thing exists, but I wish it weren’t locked behind a paywall, both in and out of game.

My unpopular opinion is that Sword and Shield really wasn't that bad... I really enjoyed it, _especially_ exploring the wild areas to complete the Pokedex and hatch eggs. I still look back at it fondly, even though it really wasn't that long ago (okay... its been *5 years.* Maybe it has been a long time 💀). The DLC was really fun too. I especially liked the Isle of Armor. The little chicken robot thing that let you craft items was really really fun to use.

Three opinions in and I totally agree with you. Also thank you for validating my dislike of Penny. She's so generic and boring, I don't know what the fandom sees in her. Which sucks cause she's the 'evil team leader' and having that person be our friend would have been so interesting. Sad they wasted that though. Edit: At this point still agreeing with honestly almost everything you're saying here. Absolutely based. However, I do disagree with the SV one. I still really like the games, but they're currently my least favourite pokemon switch game. The DLC elevated it a good bit, but not above the others. But that's just personal taste. Edit: So, for the rest i'm really impartial. I do agree on not getting Larry's hype. And I love Let's Go, they're my favourite switch pokemon games. They're underrated.

IIRC what people didn’t like about Go/Gou is while the ambition to catch many Pokémon as possible is admirable, it’s the WAY he captures them that irritates them. Mind you, I have no idea why I haven’t kept up with Journeys, maybe due to being distracted so much. But from what I know in its beginnings is that Go/Gou captures powerful Pokémon FAR TOO EASILY than he should. Like he could capture a final evolution Pokémon with a single REGULAR pokeball with UNFATHOMABLE accuracy and catch rate and would think the audience would be OKAY with it?? Now, this is from the mindset of those who play the VIDEO GAMES; people who are used to having to BATTLE with their mons before capturing wild ones and understand that it’s not easy doing a pacifist run of capturing. Cause to capture, you have to battle…make them weak enough, you throw the ball and wait to catch with pokeballs that fits the situation. That’s it. And Go/Gou is making all of it feel INSULTINGLY easy.

Normally I pacifist battle because my level 100 Swirlix does not mess around It's kinda a medium difficulty, not hard (quick balls and ultra balls go crazy) but it's definitely not easy either (The Hatterene that took 6 turns to catch today)

I dislike Goh because he just throws pokeballs, like the mobile game. If they just animated him using quick balls, I’d be fine with him. It’s quite grating how he just throws a normal pokeball at a full health pokemon when other characters spend an entire episode to catch one.

About the gen 2 starters I can see where ur coming from Typhlosion is actually my favorite pokemon, I always loved it's name as a kid and thought it's neck flames were so cool. It also carried me in soul silver, and I will never forget it beating like all of lances team and literally coming down to the wire in that battle while with my parents at the bank (since it was my only adequate leveled pokemon). Always refer to it as the queen, because my typhlosion in soul silver was a female I named inferno, it's now become Queen Inferno to me

Breath of the Wild feels dull after a while? Thats how i felt about Tears of the Kingdom, but BotW still feels fresh to me. As someone who was relentlessly bullied and victimized by a permissive and corrupt administration i relate to Penny. I would have LOVED to have the opportunity she had to fight back because all I could do was try to report things to the school board, who was still corrupt and lax and blamed me for it. You can bet I would have joined Team Star in a heartbeat. God I would have wanted a Clavell in my life so hard. I would have had a much different life if there was anyone on my side in administration in those days. Nobody likes Masters as a game. We like it as a character simulator. My unpopular opinions: -Cyrus is not the Rotom kid and i think that whole idea is stupid. We've even seen an official video with the Rotom kid and he was a little redhead with big glasses. In short, not Cyrus. And Masters and Ultra trying to shoehorn it in is stupid. (he's also not autistic and i don't know why people think he is) -The AIs deserved better. They gave up everything and betrayed their creators, who you can tell they still admired and viewed fondly, to save Paldea, and what do they get for it? Taken to a time where they'll inevitably be alone. AI Sada may even lose power provided she goes back to before the crystals formed, and powering on later, she'll have a shortened life expectency and have lost all that time to engage in her studies. And even if that doesn't happen, even if both of them remain safely at full power, they still can't leave the crater unless they find a way to get a hypercharge from Terapagos. Their freedom is always going to be limited without that. And she's going to an era long before humans, and he's likely going to an era past them. Though they're not human themselves, they resemble them and have human memories so thus relate to humans the most, and they'll be lonely, terribly so. And they can't go back without endangering Paldea again. So short of a random Celebi encounter, they'll be alone until they break down. And machines don't break down like humans do. They'll still be running their programming even after their bodies have given out, trapped there unable to move, until finally their data decays enough to shut down their consciousness. Their fate will inevitably be one of tragedy even if they do get to explore and have adventures. And dammit, I want my robot friends back! Masters I'm looking in your direction. We got enough energy experts that they could handwave a solution that would let them run on Pasio, yeah? -Briar is totally a villain. She endangered the lives of three students and gets away with it. -No we did not doom the professor at the crystal pool. We SAVED them. That ISN'T THE SAME PROFESSOR FROM OUR TIMELINE. They even TELL you this. The one from our timeline got the white book without relinquishing their own book, and at the end, they say they're going to go home to read it. Home. To Arven. We didn't condemn them. We saved them, the professor and Arven both. And even the other timeline version of us who gave the one from our timline the white book still didn't change much, because the book describes Area Zero as we know it. It would have been much the same as it was when they started their research. -Iono is annoying not because she's a streamer, but because she's the kind who only cares about subs and donos.

@@charlescalvin8680 honestly, the only early route birds I like are Corvinight, tallonflame and toucannon. Swellow and noctowl are fine but I don’t like the other ones

My favorite generation is Gen 5, it always was so NO, YOU CANNOT SHAME ON ME But thinking more now, my opinion is that Alola will probably be praised in the future. It has a lot of interesting characters, a cool pokedex, enviroment, starters, legendaries, the ultra beasts.. the lore is pretty good too I like the Z moves a lot, they actually require strategy and can change the destiny of a match. Probably my favorite pokémon mechanic till now Necrozma is probably one of my favorite pokémon currently, it's a sad pokemon that constantly is in pain and needs light to not feel so pitiful. As you read through it's lore, you see how desperate this thing is, explains why it's catch rate is as low as it is Lunala is one of my favorite pokémon ever (was my first GX card, i was so excited at the time) and Solgaleo is a pokémon my brother likes a ton. Their fusion forms with Necrozma are super dope and i love the designs And man, don't even get me STARTED on Ultra Necrozma, just an absolute BEAST Overall, really good generation, i'm more than willing to know more about it and probably will be my second favorite

For me scarlet and violet isn’t that good as I think the world was too empty. I prefer sword and shield as the routes and all make the cities feel more abundant. I mean with the world being empty I think the next region should be the American southwest. It would work well as the desert explains the empty areas and the cities being spread around and the cities being larger. I mean imagine the area zero equivalent is Area 51, the Grand Canyon is a national park with one of the non gym boss battles. Maybe one set of quest is with the natural wonders and national parks of the region. Flagstaff can be an ice gym and it’s mixed with the Utah mountains. An electric gym is in Texas and it’s an oil field. Albuquerque is the villain teams main base. Because of breaking bad and to get to where you need to go in some maze area to get to the boss you need to make a left turn at Albuquerque. If you take a right or anything else your in some trouble. Referencing bugs bunny saying how he should of taken that left turn at Albuquerque. A cowboy western town would be cool in Texas. Route 66 in Arizona. Silicon Valley in California. Las Vegas is a big city. Pheonix is “a testament to man’s arrogance” from king of the hill. Maybe there’s a regional moltres there and it’s a pheonix. The starter for the grass type would be a cactus, water is some sort of combination with ice and snow. Maybe some hockey theme as that’s big in the region. Then the fire is with the sun and maybe the dry ground. Also Hollywood is an area. There is San diego, the rock, a Disneyland parody, the Alamo, the Hoover dam, and the long staring highways.

1:33 This isn’t unpopular. A lot of people have them middling or are neutral towards them, but acknowledge they’re the most overlooked which is why they get attention. That and Feraligator and Totodile are somewhat memeable with their looks and/or sprites.

I've personally never truly liked Pika-clones, but I've never hated them. They're... fine, I guess? I do hope Gen 10 pulls another Pawmi and makes it's Pika-clone another 3 stage 'Mon (...hopefully with a less meh evolution method imo). Masters EX as an actual game is... ehhhhhhh. The additional lore and music though is fire and I will fight anyone who says otherwise!!!!!!! EDIT: COMPLETELY agree on the preferring Pre-Evolutions thing. Like I don't 'hate' Unfezant, Talonflame or Electivire, but Tranquil, Fletchinder and Electabuzz are just my niche.
