Photography in being in the right place at the right time, which is 50/50 skill and luck. But getting a worthy image is 99% skill. I saw the giraffe. I knew where the sun was. I decided that the two might work together to make a shot. Then the car made dust, which here was the luck part. Even though I didn't know it.

When you are in Botswana and Namibia, it feels like you are staring in the movie "The Gods Must Be Crazy," but just slightly more competent and just as entertaining.

One of the greatest comedies ever filmed.
Back in the mid 70’s (aged about 5yrs) I was visiting Chester Zoo, I was looking at the elephants, leaning on the railings; I asked my mum why that elephant had 2 trunks…she didn’t reply so I asked again, several times……I never got an answer. Now you’ve managed to film a 2 trunked elephant in the wild……..😂

It was one of the first things I noticed too.
That ending was perfect 🤣🤣🤣
Now that's why we love your African adventures.
Beautiful episode as always!! “I must be out of my mind, I’m still going to go but … I’m going to get a better microphone” 😂😂😂 just hilarious, still laughing
Wow Andrew, that was amazing!. I’m so glad I’ve rejoined you on Patreon. Your documentaries are fantastic value for money
Fantastic, Thank you. Not having your knowledge and experience, I'd be showering the next morning, in the daylight.
Best episode yet.
Love it Andrew! Thank you
It feels like we are there with you on this journey.. thank you for the wonderful sharing of your journey with all of us!
Wonderful video! Thank you
Incredible Africa. Incredible indeed. Andrew at his best.
Amazing!
This is epic. I always have time for roadside sellers and locals in my travels. And this seller looks very genuine and knowledgeable. I like the colour ME TOO Andrew
Andrew, thank you so much for taking us on this adventure. Words cannot describe how much of a break from my mundane and repetitive day your video provided. So thank you once again.
So good !!!
Amazing that wildlife close by and the Art foto graf's❤
I think you have a unique ability to record and live in the moment at the same time.
Wow Andrew, you give new meaning to the words “ Wild Camping”😂
Floods of memories of Nxai Pan before it had any infrastructure July 1975 :-) Thank you for your amazing video journal Andrew.
Absolutely incredible!
I really enjoyed this episode
I feel so sorry Gwynn wont be with you Andrew. This is an amazing place, and what a beautiful picture of the giraffe and sunset. (Just as well you're not Competitive) with your mate.. LOL. Did you brave the beasties to go for that shower? That is the answer we are all waiting for. Take care, stay safe mate.
Great Edit 💯👍 Fantastic old cut outs, loving the animals in their peaceful home and really so nice people. The world needs exactly exempels like that 😉
Simply epic!
Wonderful video! I loved seeing the wildlife up close etc but I would have driven right next to the ablution block after hearing the lions etc! 😂
Really good,thank you.
Amazing! The animals make IT.. Australia is beautiful, Canada is beautiful, lits of places are.. but they dont have the animals. That is what makes IT.
Wonderful episode! To me, you are the most at home in the African bush. It's infectious!
Nearly got the same picture here in my lounge watching you! ....on the TV......I will give Jeremy a hint!😜😂
The whole episode just warmed my heart...safe travels ASPW !!! 🤠😎
A great thank you Andrew from Athens Greece.
What stunning shots. Out of this world.
Loved it! And you really made me laugh at the end 😂
Thank you for this beautiful episode full of wild life and nature 😍
I like your old Botswana clips
My father was a part of the project building the airport in Maun in the early 80's. There was nothing there. Now its a proper city. One of my favourite areas in the entire Africa, Okavango and Chobe. The drive through Chobe up to Kasane is fabulous!!!
Masterpiece, thank you.
Outstanding content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I love this series, Andrew ❤
So groovy .... thanks for sharing
Love your work. Cool episode.
One of your BEST
what a journey you had one my fav vids
That giraffe though 👏👏👏
Great VDO, Andrew ! Missed you & your old Rangie 😎
forget the shower, I;m getting back to the safety of the cruiser, good night bloody awsome pic
Awesome video Andrew, feels like I’m there with you on the trip! Completely agree with the safety of SA vs Botswana. The people are so much more friendly and that anger you feel in SA is gone as soon as you cross the border into Bots.
Fing awesome ep I love it
I think the term is "friendly rivalry." :). Great Shot!
Jeremy doesn't look like he'll be as cuddly on those cold nights.
What an incredible video. What I would do to experience an overlanding trip like this.
Shame on you for ending on such a high note 😂😂, fantastic video, thanks for sharing, can't wait to get there one day myself ❤❤
That was a bombshell🤣🤣
Great episode. I should go to Botswana one day. Great people around there.
Are you getting your crayons out ? You draw a picture, you took a lekker photograph. Big difference!
The lions roaring took me back to when I lived near the safari park in Devon (UK). I didn't go walking in the dark unless I had the dog with me hoping he would let me know if any escapees were lurking in the bushes.
more VAN videos plz!

we recommence the van build in October.
Not sure exactly when you were there. We were there in April and the whole of Botswana was incredibly dry. Apparently the worst drought they have had in 40 years! Maybe why the bird life was not the norm. I was hoping you would have shown a bit of the drive into camp site. A bit of drive
Good luck with AQIS.
I've noticed a distinct lack of birds around this year too, I don't know why. Then again there's also a lack of elephants and giraffes but I do live in the England.
Can I request a video with both Gwen and Jeremy with you to pan bad camping products?
be safe and keep up with local activity - no where is truly safe anymore!!
AFRICA 🌍,,, ADVENTURES, ZIKHOMO ZAMBIA 🇿🇲 👉TWAHLUMBHA, MR.ANDREW'S, videos 📹, liked it 👍
The beard looks good on you.
Hitched hiked from Francistown to Maun in 1988 in the back of a truck. Hit thunderstorms on the way, arrived in Maun by darkness. Didn't realise I looked like a snowman until I got into artificial light which was thanks to the white gravel road dust kicked up by the truck sticking to my drenched skin after the thunderstorm. Having a camera between you & the subject can sometimes feel like taking away from that first hand experience.
I wish to have crossed paths around Maun.
I’m still gonna go, but I need a better microphone. Epic.
African episodes are my fav. When will you be in Namibia, Rundu?

I do a video call and ask what she likes....hahaha
The Okavango swamps feeds Botswana’s and Namibia’s underground water supply which is currently under threat from Russian uranium mining prospects
The 1987 Andrew looks like Zelynsky from Ukraine 😂
👍🎤😂
Andrew..."Reconciling the mind of one's wife''. I thought this channel was 4xOverland, not "Mysteries of the Unknowable".
Andrew is think you miss Africa, you get so excited when you’re in the bush with animals.
In South Africa, there is what we call entitlement. If someone is more privileged than yourself, they must have stolen their wealth from somebody else. So we steal it back rather to work for you own stuff. And Botswana still has the death penalty .
Tha-ma-la-ka-ne river. Not Thalamakane 😂

Birdflu?
That craftsman is misleading you about being a Motswana from Botswana.. that fabric is generally available and now Chinese now print these fabrics, very few places have the authentic ones. He's a Zimbo you can hear from his accent a Mostwana would never say WAX (Waax) but Wex as Americans. You've just been played by Zimbos that are all over the street trading from South Africa all the way to Zambia

thanks. Gwynn loves her table cloths! And this man could feed his family and he was nice to talk to. Still better than buying from a hotel gift store.
