Here's an idea about door spacing and modelling history: About 20 years ago I saw a large warehouse in Phoenix AZ not unlike the one you showed here. It was served by two tracks down one side and had doors set for 40' boxcars. When I saw it, pairs of 50' boxcars were spotted as every other door with spaces between them.

Definitely some good spots and things we would never see for sure, water treatment would have to scaled down like a small town size but your right havnt seen any one model that yet.

The absolutely massive warehouse building in Aspinwall (around 3:00) is GENCO logistics, now part of FedEx. GENCO was a Pittsburgh drayage company that started business moving freight from the rivers up to the hilltops with a cart and a blind draft horse, back in the 1890s. They do reverse logistics - processing returned items that customers surrender in stores or by post, and figuring out their new future destination. Restock on the grandest scale. The grandson of the founder held the firm all the way until their sale to FedEx in 2016.

Great video. I am modeling a water treatment plant here in town. It uses one tank car which is delivered quite often. A while back a Union Pacific Olympic sd70 i believe 2001 delivered just one tank car. Unfortunately i only snapped pics. I was so excited i didnt record and put on my KZread channel. It was cool seeing a huge engine delivering a single car. Keep the videos coming!!

Thank you so much for another video showing customer sidings, DJ! This and previous ones have been very helpful to me. I just finished a background flat industry on my small 1 x 6 foot HO layout that is a food processing company comprised of an older brick office building, a new plant with metal siding and two loading docks for boxcars, and vertical vegetable oil storage tanks with a pump house and tank car unloading area. It is freelanced and mostly scratch-built and your videos helped me get the confidence to design and decorate it. It can be viewed on my Facebook page.

I had wondered about never seeing a wastewater treatment plant modeled and thought about modeling one sometime back. I even did some research into commonly used chemicals for treating wastewater that could be received by rail. Besides Chlorine that you mentioned, these plants could also receive chemicals like Sodium Hydroxide, Aluminum Sulfate, and Polymers among several others. Some could come in tank cars, some in covered hoppers, and some received in drums via boxcars, for a variety of car use.

These overhead shots are very useful, thanks. I find myself on google maps a lot looking at stuff as well, it is a added bonus if there is street view near by. That was how I got most of my information for my recent diorama as I have never been to these areas. Also the tight area near that warehouse is interesting, I have been modeling some tight areas and they don't look prototypical but then you remember really, if it is out of the range of being hit by rolling stock or locomotives it doesn't matter as much as long as it is stable. That trench cut somewhere on the east coast comes to mind, that one where its basically cliffs on both sides feet away from the track.

Interesting video! It looks to me like the water treatment works no longer receives rail deliveries. At 6:00, you see seven road vehicles parked close enough to the track to block it and at 6:30, there's nowhere to unload anything. No equipment to unload tank cars or hoppers, no ramps to get a forklift into a box car. The only possibility is that the second track from the left extends between the two buildings, so maybe stuff gets unloaded there? But, again, there are road vehicles parked on the track. I'd imagine that any company that received rail deliveries would have a "don't foul the tracks" policy.
