I guess Bluth's own approach for hand designs were inspired by Milt Kahl's hand designs.

Always found Don's style very inspirational. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I never knew about perks - not that i had money anyway....- so I had to blunder through the learning curve until I found a way to draw hands. ironically my method is similar to this one. in fact hands are pretty easy. I struggle with human faces and rarely draw them. I can paint mountain ranges, herds of horses and any breed of dog you can think of...... but if you were to judge my skills based on how i draw people you would laugh. (then again I have never forced myself to do it either.....)

  • @scottvasquez1401

Milt Kahl was always the best at drawing expressive hands. Need any proof, watch the Grand Duke and the King from Cinderella, another great example of expressive hands. Don Bluth Animation is clearly influenced by Milt's drawings.
