Hello there!
Today I will show you how you can use a matrix mixer to create soundscapes, great for ambient tracks or performances.
Pathways, by Herbs & Stones, is a 4x4 VCA with a twist: a modulation section that can be used to give life to your patch.
I will use it with OP1-Field and Lyra-8 as sound sources and Chase Bliss Mood, Strymon Nightsky and Hologram Microcosm as effects.
With a Matrix mixer is easy to route your signals in interesting way and in the case of Pathways I think the performative factor is great.

Thank you. I've had a Lyra-8 for some time and just bought a Pathways as I was sure that it would be a good partner. Lovely to see that you've done it already!
Herbs & Stones are really interesting device. Extending possibilities in hardware audio paths arrangements. And presentation is extremely good (As any content from you 😊)!
I love to see theLyra 8 in the mix. I'm always intrigued by it. thanks so much for walking through your thoughts, I always learn something even if I don't have the same gear I find useful methods from you that I can use.
The extra patch area is interesting. I have thinking of adding a matrix mixer to my eurorack after reading how Suzanne Ciani uses one in her performance patch.

At least in this setup it doesn’t make sense having 4 mono
