Mulatte’s was always the place to go for great fun and great dancing. Between Breaux Bridge and Baton Rouge we stayed on the dance floor. One of our best times was when Terrance Simeon and his band played Zydeco all night and ABC was there filming for a documentary about Cajun music. We were very surprised when our friends in California let us know they saw us dancing when the documentary aired. Such fun and you can’t get any better than Terrance playing and singing Zydeco ! This is a wonderful place to take the ladies that want to dance. There were some elderly gentlemen there to make sure all the ladies got to dance. The dances they were doing was one very much like a Texas Two-Step, the Waltz, of course, and what I think is called a Cajun Jitterbug.

This was good and educational but wish you could have slipped in a little music to illustrate the style.
