Great review. I looked at Speedies and could never choose between Hesalite for originality or sapphire sandwich for looks, and ultimately never bought one. Now Omega has made the decision for me - I'll purchase one of these to complement my Great White SMP. WRT bracelet vs strap, it's bracelet for the colder months and rubber in the warmer months. If I ever get to 50m of depth I'll have bigger problems than the water resistance of my watch.

Amazing new Omega! On my wrist today is my Omega SMP 300m blue dial.

Harrison keep the SMP - it’s a beast of a daily. You cannot go wrong and I’m 99% certain you’ll regret letting it go. All the crazy things you’ve done with that by your side. What I’d do is sell your other pieces and get the Speedy and have them as your 2. And what a pair!!

Hello and thanks for this video. Two iconic watches with black dials were wished by fans with white ones : Omega's Speedmaster Professionnal and Rolex's Explorer 1. So, Omega did first, and did it really well. This chrono is beautiful.

Wearing my Seamaster Bond and definitely next watch. Actually, already asked my AD to call me once is there. In my opinion, one of the coolest CHRONOGRAPHS out there. Especially with that 3861 open case back. Simply love it. And bracelet? One of the best OMEGA has ever done it.

Hi Harrison - on first look I was not convinced but after going home and watching both your and Britt's videos on this watch I am now getting a serious itch to drop into my local Omega Boutique on Bahnhofstrasse 😀. What I will say though, as an owner of both a Speedmaster Reduced and a Seamaster 300 (White/Black Rubber/Bracelet(never worn)) is PLEASE don't get rid of the White Seamaster. It became such a loyal friend of my wrist so quickly and is definitely one of my watches that I would simply be heartbroken without. I still can't stop admiring it after almost 1 year. Just my opinion though ;)

Just saw the display at the local AD and it's better looking in person and will be on my wrist this year.

So I saw a photo of this watch earlier today on FB and then now on your channel, I currently have 4 Omegas in my collection, a 1957 Seamaster in gold which was my late fathers, a Planet Ocean, a Worldtimer and the exact same watch you have on now but with an Omega rubber strap with a deployment clasp. I am going to talk to my AD right after typing this and inquire about this new Speedmaster and I will probably trade in the Seamaster Diver 300m too.

I had one in hand at the OB this weekend. It’s absolutely beautiful. That dial looks incredible in person. Perfection. Even my wife noted it’s objectively more beautiful and sturdy than the IWCs, Rolexes, and Cartiers we’ve been handling. I put down a deposit and expect to pick it up in the Fall.

Definitely keep the white dial SMP - it's so well done and can go/do anything.

On the wrist is a Bamford B347. I went to an Omega Boutique event last night and got hands on with this piece and it looks amazing on the wrist. It’s a really wearable size.

I was looking at pulling the trigger on the black one this summer when I retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years. I had tried on the black one and love the feel and was blown away by the iconic nature of this watch but the black face didn’t blow me away because already have some black watches and actually been shopping for a white or blue watch, then this drops. I can’t stop looking at the white face and think I may save a little longer, try this one when available and maybe pull the trigger if available when I officially retire on 1 Aug.

Tuseno Windeesker orange dial on my wrist today

Love this "new" watch. Don't have $8100 right now... Don't want it enough to part with my IWC Big Pilot 43 or my white Seamaster (love the way the light plays on the ceramic white dial- curious if this white lacquer will have the same intriguing look?)

The white dial looks great on the new speed-master. The watch that Daniel Craig was wearing. Was actually a white gold version of the new speedy.

Just keep the Seamaster. In the long run you’ll regret selling it. The clout doesn’t worth it. If you really want the Speedy, then in time you’ll get it. Be patient. It’s a want and not a need.

I agree as well. Keep your Seamaster it’s been with you for so so long. Since I followed and sub to your channel (over a year) you always talk great about your Seamaster. I saved money to acutely buy the exact dial and seamaster you own. It’s my dream watch. At the end of the day it’s your decision. I just feel like it’s a hard choice to let your baby go.

Not at all. 1 cm3 of steel weighs 7.8 grams. So, that's 10 x 10 x10 mm or 1000 mm3. 12 indices of appr. 0.5 x 0.5 x 3 mm are far less than that in volume and weight: 9 mm3 to be precise. So these 12 indices weigh 0.07 grams altogether.

I’ve had my “Peter Blake” Seamaster going on 20 years and have been wanting a white speedy to counter it for so long. The LE’s have been outside the bank roll. The day has come.

The Speedy is iconic. This white dial variation is indeed very cool. However I’d hang on to a Seamaster I already had in the collection. If I had neither, then it would be a different choice.

2022 new Kermit on the wrist…I love this new white dial and am certainly hoping to add this as my 1st speedy to the lineup!

I have a vacation coming up this summer where I have $7500 saved for a vintage ref. 16570 that I was meaning to pick up when I go back home to Japan because I really need/want a white dial watch. However now that this came out I'm back to square one on what I want lol. I just love the white/red contrast, I'm almost a sucker for it. The 16570 as old as it is still has way better water resistance meaning I won't have to be concern about jumping into the falling into the pool or getting wet with it on.

I like that new Speedmaster White dial. My only sacrifice would be giving up the date indicator. I don't swim or go in large bodies of water with watch enough to complain about water resistance. I would have to make sure I wind it every 2 days.

Looks great in white. I wasn't crazy about the all black version but the white steps is up a bit in my opinioin.

Wrist check: 2022 Omega Aqua Terra gray dial with blue second hand, presently on an Uncle Seiko 1035. My alternate bracelet is a navy Artem sailcloth loopless with the Omega deployant.

Wrist check Seamaster 300 heritage. The white dial looks fantastic. It's going to be a hard decision to choose between this and a Speedmaster 57

I was hesitating between the black BLACK BAY58, the white SEAMASTER 300M and the SPEEDMASTER. Having tested the BLACK BAY on the wrist, I found it too small for my wrist. Moreover, it didn't give me any particular emotions. until a few days ago I was hesitating between the SEAMASTER and the SPEEDMASTER. But since the white SPEEDMASTER came out, I think I can treat myself to one next September before OMEGA decides to drastically increase its price. So it's better to take your time before buying the watch of your dreams.

I’m wearing my white dial SMP 😄. And I have had the exact same question running through my head since seeing Craig with it on. Fill my chrono need with the Speedy and replace the SMP with maybe a BB 58 Blue?!?!

I love the Seamaster but only in its blue variant. If you are going with a white dial Omega , the Speedmaster is the way to go; it looks more elegant, classy and it's way more iconic.

I’m a purist regarding the Speedmaster. And love my hesalite black dial version. But this just looks so great… damn. 🏁😎 I’m not sure you should switch the SMP for the new Speedmaster. Save up for it if you can. Yes. But don’t switch.

Don't switch, they are different watches with different uses in mind. You should defo buy the new white dial moonwatch, but keep seamaster too. Winner combo, that will both be strap monsters.

Get the new white Speedy, but also keep the Seamaster ! Both watches serve different functions and complement each other well. Let go one of your other pieces if needed.

Keep the Seamaster. Save for the new Speedmaster. Both watches have their place in your collection.🤔

For me personally I really this new white variant , I’d definitely try to purchase a black and also a white rubber trap for it .

It’s a great looking watch. I’d trade your Seamaster 300 for this is it’s more iconic and lighter on the wrist so more comfortable. But I’m a Speedie fan. I’ve been wearing my 321 all day and went into the boutique where they had one. I’ve always thought the classic black dial with sapphire crystal is the most legible but this white dial is equally easy to read and arguable pops with its touches of red and brightness of the white dial. I think it’s a winner and decent alternative to the Daytona that is never available. The 3861 co-axial movement is better and you can see it. You might not be able to go diving like the Rolex - tho some people do in their Speedies - but if you want to go playing rough wear a G-Shock not a premium watch.

Harrison why not get it as well as smp. That's exactly what my plan is. Although I have black smp. As others stated applied markers and also on omega site if you look has micro adjust clasp. That's the extra cost/weight. Absolute beauty

Wait before you sell your Seamaster. I would definitely keep the Seamaster as it is more of an adventurer’s watch then save up for whatever and if the desire has remained as vivid and strong maybe buy the Speedmaster but later.
