I don't think Technomancer can join Lychguard anymore. I'm excited to watch the game either way!!

Congrats on getting this comment in first, I was surprised when I saw the Lychguard and it would have been interesting to see if he'd have taken them without the techno 🙂

yeah, but so many new rules he can be forgiven, they can join wraiths now, which with the canoptekh detactment is really exciting.

Just to make sure you keep using them: The tertiary objectives are way way more interesting than "painted army bonus". Sure, painted armies look better on the tabletop but that has, at least in my few years with you guys, never been an issue here.

I think the Technomancer in the Lychguard unit was a pretty big swing in their fight vs the Possessed. Steve would have wiped the entire unit and still had 5 wounds left over. Hard to say how it would have gone at that point. If the Technomancer was somewhere else then a different unit probably would have survived later into the game.

Turn 2 when the Iron warriors piled in and consolidated into the destroyers, they can't. You can only consolidate in 3" IF it'll make base contact otherwise move onto an objective. If none of those, then they can't move. Destroyers reroll 1s against the closest eligible target, that would include being in combat

I can’t wait for luka to try the new hypercrypt legion. Turn 1 deep striking monolith with 10 warscythe lychguard popping out of eternity gate with a 3 inch charge for no cp is disgusting.

Post Statement: you can do this by having an overlord attached to the lychguard with the new osteoclave fulcrum that allows the lychguard to deep strike. The new strategem dimensional corridor allows you to charge when coming from an eternity gate (within 6 inches of the monolith) for 2cp. My will be done makes it free at 0cp. If the unit survives after the fight phase and after your opponents turn, you can set up the monolith and the lychguard to rinse and repeat with the new hyperphase rule.

dimensional corridor is not a battle tactic (as far as i've been told in another rules review vid) so unfortunately you can't use it for free.@@maxlivingstone6863

@@Bryanchaos3 I don’t think so. It just says that the eternity gate activates in the reinforcement step of the movement phase. Which is simultaneously when strategic reserves can enter the game in the movement phase when deep striking. There’s no rule that distinguishes which step happens first and typically when that happens the player decides.

That’s a really cool color scheme for the Tomb Blades… in fact I like Necrons with some blue or teal a lot better than the ordinary silver ones, it adds a hole new dimension of character to the army.

Luka is the only Necron player in the world who was convinced they were overpowered and all the nerfs are great thing. ;)

Why does everyone say the orb always worked only once per game? It origanally was an ability that allowed We'll be back to all models within 6" even my instant death weapons and no armour save weapons. I've always liked it more as a constant power source device that always radiates power, than a kind of heal grenade.

Don't you have to declare what type of hits you're going for, before deciding what unit you are shooting at? Steve seems to be choosing what type of shooting he makes, after he's done his hit rolls?

He stated around 16 minutes that for the battle if he is wounding on 5+ he will do lethal, otherwise he is doing sustained. Personally not a fan of doing it that way (stating it once how it will work for the rest of the battle) but I could see the reasoning for doing it that way for a video.

I regret ordering the Codex today. That is all.

Good report, guys! I actually like that the Necrons didn't get a massive upgrade, but a side-grade. I hope this works well with the internal balance of the game.

@serhiyborsch5401 I said RP, not FNP. 5+++ C'tan are neat don't get me wrong, but it their 6-ro-sevenfold nerfs to warriors and RP in general as well as the mammoth buffs to wraiths show they just wanted to force people to buy wraiths. I just think they flubbed annihilation legion and obeisance phalanx and went too far with the cut to reanimators and warriors. 3" and the sheer spate of nerfs warriors caught were too much. That said, I am well aware Admech got it worse than necrons did. Necrons got sidegraded or mildly downgraded. Some of their builds are really good even, but I doubt they'll survive nerfs in january.

They nerfed only ability for necron warriors and lets be honest - to kill brick or of 20 warriors + Orikan or Lychguard + Cryptotrals + Technomancer you should focus all your army shooting or fighting activation without guaranties that one single necron that is left will not trigger D6+1 + D3 (if reanimator is near) + D3 (if technomance is near) + D3 (if Overlord have resurection orb) + D3 via strategem right after you enemy shooting phase. It is toxic.

You guys sure those reanimations were correct? I thought they got nerfed, based on another reportl, I don't have the rules in hand to confirm.

Technomancers are crypteks so can’t join lychguard so that’s the first cheaty error so more fnp on those lads…
