@@brijor6ff7 so from what Cosmos told me, to fully have widescreen no black bars you have to only have the “cosmos limit break” mod active, so no need for the “dds file” or “syw v5 backgrounds” active

@@brijor6ff7 look in my video and make sure you have the “mesh” and “widescreen” in the additional folders. If they don’t show click “reset defaults” and they should come up. If your a Steam deck user it’s a different process.

That jumpscare got me good, lol, well done and wonderful showcase. Never occurred to me to mod the game beyond the essentials but these graphics are just too good, and wonderfully faithful to the original. Thank you!

Thank you again brother!! Once I get done with Rebirth I was hoping to use your mod tutorial for 7th Heaven to get my Steam copy up and running again, give it a nostalgic go. I replayed it vanilla like... five years ago now I think, so it's high(wind) time I give it another go. These gentlemen are true gifts to the community, hope to goodness Squeenix lets them keep at it and doesn't do that odd recent Bethesda stuff. Honestly with how incredible this is, they ought to just let them make an updated port for the PS Store, so folk have a choice 'tween that, Ever Crisis, and vanilla. Yes they really are! That is a lot of work man, definitely appreciate them very much. I think square might be pretty chill about it I hope. I do know that Tsuna contacted square when they did the voice mod and they gave them the green light so hopefully they stay true to their word. Nicely crafted video. Excellent presentation! I was curious how you were able to work around the dynamic weapons glitch for the ninostyle chibi model. Cloud's sword is at an angle in your video and there is no clipping. For me the hilt of his sword is going through his hair and i have no work around short of disabling dynamic weapons to display it at an angle. The problem with that is only the Buster sword is displayed, but not on the world map. Any ideas? Again, awesome video!

In this video I have the ultima weapon which yeah it does seem to be more at an angle. To be honest not sure what could be the problem, the mod might have to be updated by the creator. But if it helps you should join the tsunamods discord and go to mod support. They would have a better answer than me.

I would like to ask a question, I followed your modlist and everything works fine but I noticed that sometimes bossfights and monsters are in different places than in the original game, do you know which mod activates this problem? I'm terrified of deep water too. And I will never forget the terror I felt when I used the submarine to explore... as soon as it went underwater I found Emerald in front of me, waiting. I haven't used the submarine since that time hahaha However, your video took me back in time and made me want to play again! Thanks for the video!

Ever since Populous: The Beginning I've always had a soft spot for low-poly but fully rendered global world maps. This mod is activating so many nostalgia neurons at once that shouldn't be possible to activate. As for thalassophobia, as much as it'll spike your blood pressure, doing a Let's Play series of Subnautica might get you some mad views. Food for thought.

I played with all the Tsunemods and Cosmo bits about a year ago, and was amazed back then... and now, there's all these new absolutely game-changing mods... I'm getting the itch to play through the game again lol I'm also someone who's played the game since its first release (it's one of the very first JRPGs I ever played, and what gave me a love for the genre), and can safely say that all the years we were asking Squeenix for a remake, THIS is what we wanted!

I have almost the exact same set of mods, sans Limit Break as I prefer the old screen ratio. But it really gives you a "Remake Demake" feel. It's pretty incredible, and the flexibility of what you can do/customize is insane.

I bought the game yesterday for £4 and this video gets recommended, currently installing mods, can't wait to replay this game in a new experience

@@OtenP_ it’s great. Changes a lot. Bosses, routes you take, places you meet people, stats rebalanced, special skills for each party member. I’m at Junon and really makes it a fresh play through. Only downside is you can’t use the echo S voice mod due to the game being different.

One more thing, I was looking at the "SYW V5" texture mods a few hours ago but now they seem to be updated to "SYW Unified" texture mods, and it says the field texture mod will not work with Cosmos Limit Break mod. @@DaDinkler so with the cosmos limit break, after I made this video I learned that if you’re going to use the limit break mod it’s best to only have that active, so the Syw texture mods don’t need to be used nor do the qhimm he field scenes, since it will cause some problems. So basically if you want to use limit break and have true widescreen you only need “cosmos limit break” on

I think the zoom effect is a wonderful idea! With this zoom effect, it would be really interesting to see a mod where Cloud and the chocobos are much smaller, so that they are in proportion to the Highwind and the world around them. That way, when you zoom all the way in on Cloud, the Highwind would appear really big and proportional, with all the intricate details. I believe that could look quite impressive.

I noticed you're using both Ninostyle and Moddershaven, but I see guides saying to only use one or the other. Do they not conflict? Also is the 60 fps mod not compatible with Echo-S?

For modders haven i don’t have the characters models active only enemy and summons and bosses. Yes if you leave them all active they will conflict. The 60fps is compatible

I've been playing this game since 97 I've replayed it over and over again, did everything you can do in the game and at 64 still playing it. If I ever end up in a nursing home I know how I'll be passing the time😂

Although FF8 is my personal FFVII (if that makes sense), I’ve been enjoying watching the mod updates for both FF7 and FF8 even though FF7’s are much more extensive compared to the OG! I just have to carve out some time this year or next year to plsy these two games on Steam Deck with all the mods. I know they’ll feel like new experiences especially with the voice acting! It’s also probably why I’ll never go back to console with the things PC / PC handhelds can do to reinvent games (like these two examples above). Can’t wait!

It’s recommended to buy the game through steam on pc, this only works on PC and steam deck I believe. I have tutorial videos on my channel. Just check the playlists and shows step by step

I will deal with it, I am playing that game for the first time and I am enjoying it, quite much. And yes, the original french translation is sometimes ridiculous 🥱🥱🥱 Thanks for your answers !

What is the mod "Final Fantasy VII HD Field Scenes - DDS" , I cant seem to find any reference for it on nexus or 7th Heaven.

@@jordangonzalez4658 after I made this video I was told that the HD field scenes can conflict with the limit break mod and any other field mod, since the HD field scenes arent finished it’s recommended to use limit break

I believe it’s the modders haven enemy pack, you can find it on nexus and import them to 7th heaven

I've installed the same mods you have, and in the same order, but I can't get the updated chibi videos working even though I've configured the mod for them? Any ideas why it isn't loading that specific mod?

What “chibi videos” do you mean? The cgi cutscenes?

@@OtenP_ yeah, your footage shows the chibi style models had been incorporated into the cutscenes, such as the intro with Aerith facing the camera at the start, etc. Just seems to be the same modified higher frame rate AI upscaled videos I usually had. I could always just old school it and just overwrite the actual files I guess, just wondered why the mod won't apply.

@@danbrittain9530 yeah that mod is called “cosmos limit break 2” but in my video I don’t have it installed I was showing footage from the creators video. It’s still a work in progress so it’s not completed.

I wonder if it is possible to do a closer to topologically correct version of the worldmap, a torus.

I love the look of this. It's refined but still feels like the original. If the remake was built like this I would have played it.

how did you activate the syw v5 field textures with cosmos limit break? It says I need to turn off cosmos limit break in order to use the syw field textures. Can you help me with this? thanks

You can just use limit break since that is already using the v5 field textures

I was told by the creator of the mod that you have to pick one or the other. Otherwise there will be issues. I knew this after I made this video

This mod is truly amazingly outstanding and definitely how I viewed the game the very first time I played it. Also I'm not terrified of deep waters but what freaks me out about FF7 underwater is emerald weapon itself 😂 That's so true that after I defeat it, the fear is gone

fr last time I submerged the submarine a few days ago, emerald weapon was right next to me and that startled me xD good thing it was right when I was exactly going for the fight after a long preparation, but still that was the first time I ever saw that happening in the game

every time i open 7th heaven, the mods are all sorted differently...should i keep it that way or change how you have arranged them every time i open up the manager?

Auto sort will 99% of the time sort them the correct way is what I was told. No idea why they get reshuffled every time

this here is all i really wanted for the remake to be, I was a fan of the turn based style.
