And really, all of the mob vote candidates would have been great in the game. The Barnacle (Terror of the Deep Seas) would've been great in 1.13; the Towering Inferno would've been great in 1.16; there could've been lore ways to add the Great Hunger in 1.20, like an ancient mob you could uncover in the trail ruins; and that's just the first mob vote. Instead, they lost the vote and were put back on the shelf, never to be taken down again. Also, this is just my personal opinion, but I feel the Sniffer vote was a bit tailored to have the Sniffer win. In comparison to the Hermit and the Golem, the Sniffer seemed way more fleshed out as an idea than the other two. Once again, just my opinion. Don't @ me. TL;DR is yes, they should just add all the mobs in and do away with the mob vote, unless they plan on adding the others in at a later date, like how the mountains won the biome vote against the swamp for 1.17, but the swamp still got updated in 1.19.

It's becoming more of an item vote than a mob vote

I have an idea: instead of (or alongside) mob votes, they should add item votes (ie, they say "we are adding the armadillo and the crab, what should each mob do? and list options.) That way, we get more mobs while still having community engagement. This could be like, should crabs add an ability to build further away, a new type of meat which increases hunger bars so you get hungry slower, or a shell that can be used to strengthen weapons? and should the armadillo add scutes to make dog armour, ability to dig up potatoes, beetroot and carrots randomly (in a farmable way that takes up less space than traditional farming), or claws which can be used to guarantee leather from a cow/pig? While this sounds the same as the current mob vote, they could repeat features each time so they don't dissapear forever (ie, the next vote is moles which dig up veggies randomly, allowing bats to produce meat which increases hunger bars, or something else.) Obviously this idea could be refined but repeating features and mobs in different settings might allow it to not feel like whichever mobs lose are lost forever, as they are all added its just their features change. I don't know though just something I thought of.

Penguins?, Dolphins already do something similar... Crabs?, Scaffolding exists... Armadillos?... I NEED TO SEE MY DOGOS IN SHINING ARMOR!!!

REASONS PENGUIN SHOULD WIN 1. Iceboating, ocean travel, villager transportation w/ iceboating, 2. Builds like cute ice tunnels or igloos. (Yes i know it’s a macaroni penguin but it’s still a penguin) 3. More chance of seeing it in the wild and survival mode than the crab. 4. Very sociable, won’t try to hide from you like armadillos and will approach you easily. 5. Baby penguins so it could be breedable, maybe even tamed. 6. If they are making them accurate to real life, they could be hunters and provide you with fish for food.

My favorite thing about this years mob vote is the fact they made every mob have a use.

So basically this is the summary of the three mobs Crab - A mob with a great claw that can help you place blocks farther than usual in survival mode. Armadilo - A useless looking, but actually helpful animal for your pet wolf you constantly fear for losing in your journeys. Penguin - A cute mob to bring attention. Basically dolphin 2.0, only difference is it can make your boat travel faster on water. In my mind I prefer the armadilo because the savannah has long since been neglected, but also we haven't had much additions when it came to tamed wolves, so that'd be a great useful addition to the game. This is just my opinion, so what are your's? Or you know, just add all of them in the game because Mojang literally had the capacity to code in all three mobs in one game. Just look at the past updates before the mob votes for example.

I get the whole community engagement thing they're trying to do with the mob vote, but honestly? Wish they would stop it altogether and just add these mobs into the game. Like, they aren't even like mystical mobs anymore. They're just normal animals you'd find in the wild IRL, and should've been added a long time ago to the base game. It just feels like their way of disguising how incredibly lazy they are at pushing out content for the main game. They need to get their crap together and focus on stuff that actually benefits the game in the long-run.

Wolf armor, reach, or .... dolphi- i mean penguins grace for boats

In my opinion crab is the best choice since it helps the player whenever unlike the other 2 but the Armadillo is my choice.

No you are wrong. I disagree. The truth is, more players will use their dog as combat and hunting companion. Wolf is for combat and hunting and not just a house pet.

I want all 3. But if I have to choose then definitely the armadillo. I love the wolves and keep them at home. That way they do not die. It took me forever to find mine. That armor will make me bring them with me

Listen I get placing blocks further away is useful and who doesn’t love penguins, BUT MY WOLVES CAN FINALLY HAVE ARMOR!!

Crab just adds one more mob to mangrove and a crab claw. The armadillio just looks cute and adds a mob for savannah and scute item for crafting dog amour. But the penguin looks cute, Have baby variants, are excellent swimmers which looks good, give more life to stony shores and boost your boat's speed, which is the most to anyone's comparison! Addition - their movement is also different from others and soo clumy, which looks cute, goofy ahh💀

I gotta say I REALLY like this new mob vote, past mobs in mob votes have been kinda useless and at worst annoying. It’s so cool that they are introducing new mechanics through this mob vote, I wish all three mobs would be added

Seeing as these are real animals, I hope they will be eventually added to Minecraft in future updates, similar to the biome votes. It makes more sense bc the other mobs before were more unique, and not based on real animals. Also, I may vote for penguin to have SB737 added to Minecraft 😁. 2nd, armadillo. The long reach sounds cool, but if its an item to extend reach, it loses its purpose a bit

Armadillos for me, i prefer it because with that crab hand thing item you can just put a temporary block to reach the height you want, penguin looks cute but i want to see armadillo rolls around , makes my wolf protected and savanna biome be more looking alive :)

Armadillo. Plain and simple. No penguins. That would mean Santa Clause is coming to Minecraft, and I shall have to increase the effectiveness and potential of my anti-Santa defense system. Stupid Santa. Anyways, I feel it shalt come down to Armadillo vs. Crab, with the Armadillo coming out on top. Netherite horse armour better have some sort of fire resistance and other buffs to the horse if they add it and also being able to add trims to the horse armour is a great idea

I thought penguins were already in the game for a second when I heard about them being in the mob vote. And I think they'd be a great choice, the best one (my opinion) animal-wise. Not sure about it's feature. I do like the direction it's feature is going, though! Feels more classic somehow.

i dont think adding penguins are pointless, cus ppl dont really travel in ocean by swimming.. we use boats more often so i think the addition of penguin is not a bad idea

ok, so they do mob votes that is technically item vote aswell cause they drop new items but Why no biome vote?

Its hilarious how Mojang thinks it’s so hard to add 3 mobs to the game, when you see people just coding them themselves within a day.

To be honest, the armadillo is cute but every time I remember how my dog died it was usally to it running/teleporting into lava, off cliffs, or drowning. So I don’t know if it would help that much

the armadillo will barely do anything to protect your dog, plus who brings their dog with them while caving. Their dog is literally just the one animal that sits in the corner of your room and barks. A crab will probably only extend your reach by like, 1-3 blocks. A penguin is just dolphin 2.0.

They should just add all of them. If they won't add them, mods are the last choice for most players. Besides, there's a lot of mobs that Mojang denied but mods have them. Crab claws are only used for builders, Armadillo scutes are good for survivalist players with pets, and the Penguins are good for explorers. Just add them all. Also, there is an existing bug about dolphins where you can attach a lead to them and ride a boat. It makes you move faster.

I think people have forgotten that minecraft is about the fun of mobs and is now just think about the items

Extended reach is useless, Dog armor is useless because dogs are useless when you reach end game you will never use your dog, the only use for dogs is to put them in a mob farm to scare skeletons, Penguins look good and are a good choice for a pet, Also boat travel in the nether will be much faster with penguins

It would be very cool if Mojang made cats to attack mobs with their claws it would be cool
