When I was a young boy, I was completely and utterly confused by every description of sound on the Andertons channel- and now it makes sense, and I don't know why? I don't know how sentences that are such a structural aberration can be processed with a meaning

Fender is at the top of their game and still getting better. It seems like every week I see a new one that makes me drool. I think the Fender Ultras are the only ones that seem to be a bit of a miss for me, and that's probably just because I hate noiseless singlecoils.

@@slash196 I agree, Fender at the top of their game, don't like Ultra's but have never liked the noiseless Fenders not sure why just doesn't vibe with me but for the first time ever I'd prefer to buy a Fender off the rack than build a partscaster because even the mexican build stuff is on such a high level and there are so many interesting almost Custom Shop designs that are affordable.

That intro jam was so tasty, I found myself trying to spread it on my toast

I very recently got a mij mahogany offset tele. Looks exactly like the one pete has in this video, but the wood looks a lot darker and it has a tele pickup in the bridge instead of a P90. The neck is also really thick, which I find very comfortable. Build quality is outstanding. I adore it.

Dang Captain that’s great tone! You can tell these guitars are special the sound jumps out at you! Best Tone I’ve heard on your videos in a while! The red one has great tone! Something special!

I have a first series Parallel Universe Troublemaker; one of the nicest playing/sounding guitars I've ever played (the Shawbucker "wide range" style humbuckers on those models are amazing).

Man, that read Troublemaker thingy is nice. And the Captain's playing just continues to get better. Even the little fills in his rhythm playing are on point these days.

I have a strat Daybreak (MIJ) and I've never been more motivated. It inspires me to play and that's the boost I needed.

The tele has a sound for what ever reason, that fits all types and any music it comes in contact with. Sounds great!

Never been that keen on teles, but that red one, oh my word that's gorgeous.

Absolutely agree, Pete. I have gig bags for keeping around the house, and I have a Gator double case for playing out. Promo plug for Gator, because those cases are amazeballs!

Loving my MIJ Troublemaker Tele. Plays like a dream. Superb craftsmanship. Not as snappy as a conventional Telecaster but a very versatile instrument in its own way.

These are two stunning looking and sounding guitars. They look worth their price tag for sure

Sweet, that offset tele in natural with the p-90s is dank yo!!! I just did a Rig Walkabout on my channel, where I review my Fender Limited Edition MIJ Jazzmaster in Blue Flower that I converted to a Bass VI! Turned out sweet, also had a early 2000's Fender MIJ Jaguar Baritone Custom. The Japanese Fender stuff has always given the American guitars a run for their money! Too bad they are not nitro finish, but really great quality guitars!! Great vid guys, thanks!

Pete looks like a proud parent every time Lee rips out something tasty - which he does a hell of a lot these days!

Trouble maker is a Tele Deluxe (got it, 1974) with a Gibby tailpiece. The bodys and such is gorgeous. The Duesy tailpiece. What a great shout.

That Offset Telecaster is such a cool guitar... the Korina with a flatter radius Mahogany neck reminds me some of the early Explorers and that's just cool... Plus the P90s of course, for plus happiness

MIJ are my favourite Fenders (that I've played). If you want to change my mind, send me a Telecaster with a rosewood fingerboard 😉

Hey the Captain is doing great , teach us that are coming up your doing great!!!

I like the truss rod adjustment at the bottom rather than the top. My Elite Strat has the wheel adjustment at the bottom. Nice guitars but I've got my eyes on the latest Chapman ML3 pro modern in hot blue from your best pal Rob.

We need more Fender guitars with P90s! Rock on.

Those Troublemaker Teles are BEAUTIFUL! The Fender humbuckers aren’t LP humbuckers, but they do have a nice little bite. 🤔

Just got that offset tele, and I looooove it. Quite a good value for a MIJ guitar. The neck is nice and fat--I wish more Fenders had fat u necks. Very versatile.

Glad you're enjoying the videos, the guitars were really great to demo! We get to control the in video ads but who's ad is up to KZread. We try to keep most our videos (depending on length) at a 1-2 ad rule. 🤘

How does the new MIJ Offset Tele compare to the "Magnificent Seven" Offset Tele that came out a few years ago?

I thought that Arctic White Tele looked familiar. Haruna uses it on A.M.D.K.J.

There just isn't the demand for it. Fender aren't known for that sort of thing and aren't as specialised in heavier ends of metal in general.

I bought the other MIJ offset tele, the mahogany one. It has a traditional tele bridge pickup with the same p-90 in the neck. Great and beatiful guitar. Love the thing. As mentioned, the neck is chunky so keep that in mind. Also as mentioned, the gigbag is a POS. The zipper on mine broke the first time I moved it. It is both poorly made and poorly padded. Buy a new one ASAP if you get one of thesesuper nice MIJ tele's.

"Not available in the US" - 30 seconds later, refers to price in "bucks". Anyone for a Dr Pepper from the cooler, before going to the Monster Truck show in Ipswich?

You can get the offset tele in the US. Rock N Roll Vintage or CME.

There is a company in Ukraine called Woodstock Guitars that has been doing exactly these 2 models for many years now. Got an Offset Tele from them. Otherwise I would be very tempted to buy one of these MiM Fenders

Does it have P-90s or Jazzmaster pickups?

I was of the same opinion regarding Ice Picks....

Man, I really wanted that offset tele to be cheap. :(

That red Troublemaker Tele looks awesome. It does look like it could really use Bigsby or Dusenberg style trem as said in the video. A tip for anyone thiking of doing this, also upgrade to a roller bridge if you like stable tuning.

I just bought my Korina offset tele, the fender website lists it as a Korina neck !! But Pete says Mahogany !! Who is right ? The dane or the manufacturing-ane (had to make em rhyme)

Check out the Parallel Universe Vol II Troublemaker Teles.

Very nice gain sound from the troublemaker, not sold on the clean tones. How heavy is it? (is Mahagony even heavier than other woods or is that a myth?)

It depends on the chambering (if any) but Mahogany is common for being a heavier wood type. Would say not as heavy as a LP but heavier than a traditional Telecaster... Hope that helps! 🤘
