Disc Golf in Santa Fe New Mexico
I went to New Mexico and filmed a beautiful course!
Hey, there disc golf friends! In this video, I take you along with me on my trip to Santa Fe New Mexico. I was asked to come here and film a private disc golf course for an Indian Arts college in Santa Fe. Ryan Flahive is a teacher at this school, and he also teaches disc golf there too. I was overwhelmed by the hospitality I received once I was there. Ryan's friend Ed & his girlfriend set me up with an apartment above their garage for a couple nights, and let me tell you, that place was very nice, and the scenery was spectacular also!
I was able to fly the drone around the house I was staying at, and this house was smack dab in the middle of the mountains! Needless to say, I got some breathtaking views with the drone!
The first day there, Ryan, Dillon, and I played the IAIA course, number 1 so I could get acquainted with the layout, and 2 so that we could play some disc golf together. After the round, Ryan invited me back to his house for dinner, and let me tell you, his family was amazing, and the pulled pork was absolutely delicious! The next day I Ryan and I met at the course so I could film it, and we had perfect conditions!
I drove home the next day, and saw some interesting things along the way. It was a very successful trip, and a fairly easy one too. It's only about a 9 hour drive so I was able to make it home by 10:30 pm that night.
I hope you all enjoy!

I'm a huge fan of desert disc golf. I had the pleasure of running a west Texas route for 3 years and enjoyed playing in Odessa every Thursday evening. Lubbock area on Mondays. Best disc golfing time of my life... of course I played the DFW area on weekends and still do. Desert discing is very different. I learned a lot about wind and its effect on discs.

Thank you for your comment Kenny Go! It was my first time playing desert disc golf, and yes it was a totally different animal. The hardest thing for me was judging distance, and the fact that this course is at 7000+ ft makes it harder to pick the right disc also😊

Yeah it’s a great course, but you definitely have to know where the misses are.

Disc Golf. The only one that I know of in Santa Fe is located near the Genoveva Chavez Community Center and of course Santa Fe is not an Indian reservation. So where did you play?

Is this course open to the public, is it a pay to play? Looks nice, looking forward to the video of the course.

It is a pay to play course and you can even do a yearly membership. Both are priced very reasonable. I believe it is $5 to play.
