She is way too old to play Storm considering that is a character that will be around for many movies and many years, and the actor for T'challa is way too young

I think the writers of X-Men 97 to work on X-Men movies for the MCU. I liked Black Panther 2 but there was too much going on for only one movie , contrary to the first Black Panther movie, which is one of my favorite Marvel movies. The team writing the episodes for X-Men 97 is definitely very knowledgeable about the X-Men and they are about in addition to knowing how to blend different stories and events involving the X- men to work beautifully together as part of a continuing bigger saga. Maybe is just me but with Black Panther 2 every time I watch it, I have a hard time with the transition from a big event to the one that follows it because they do not feel convincing, somehow. Maybe if the story was simpler would have worked for me.

I’m not that into the possible Storm cast of Monae, but I really think Aldis Hodge would KILL the role of T’Challa 🙌🏾

Seeing x-men vs avengers without truly setting up the X-men and new castings is Stoopid with 2 o’s.

The soft reboot idea is horrible. We are so deep into this series, to semi start over just as a cheap way to bring back characters will ruin the mcu. People are already checking out compared to before, that would be the final nail in the coffin. Most people don’t need 5 different versions of the same character. The multiverse has made the mcu less consistent and confusing. Just bring the X-men into the mcu, inspired by X-men 97 and you have gold. Don’t make it overly complicated. Maybe they are in a different universe, and after secret wars they get stuck in the mcu after all other universe get wiped out. Or just introduce them naturally in the mcu. Man I wish they didn’t do the whole multiverse thing lol

I disagree, as much as I liked the MCU before it was ruined by writers that put ideology over characters I think that it needs a reboot now that they have all of their properties back. It could also be a nice way to give characters like Hulk, Thor, Black Panther, and Ms. Marvel (her name is not Captain Marvel) the storylines they desperately need.

I want Marvel to finish up all stories with the Fox X Men. THEN RECAST. Finish up this BP Trilogy. THEN RECAST. Basically Secret Wars... then a whole bunch of recasting.

One of the reasons for switching universes is to change the focus roles, like a "what if" scenario. You can change the genders, race, or other characteristics, and it shouldn't matter from a writer's perspective. This could work or it could bomb, depending on how well it is executed.

Because he was a like a 5 year old kid that’s why, that could easily just be a nice send off for Chadwick’s character his legacy lives on with Jr & Nakia. There’s no convenient way to age him up into adult before Secret Wars without it just seeming lazy it’s not like Wandas kids where it happens to them in the comics. Establishing a Tchalla from the main universe the 616 will come up against from now until the end of secret wars is a perfect idea he’s super important to the story. And him being married to Storm is also a cheeky nod that’s surely too good to resist

I think it’s worth noting despite the leak not directly being tied to X-Men, Keke Palmer is allegedly in talks for a large role in the MCU (leaked by Daniel Richtman). On surface level she could be one of the people listed as an option for Storm but if we think about it, if it’s true, it’s most likely Rogue. Keke as Rogue has become somewhat infamous over the last two years after Keke revealed she really wants to play a superhero a video on TikTok fan casting Keke as rogue blew up with 330k likes, she proceeded to go as Rogue for halloween garnering a combined total of over 1.3 million likes across instagram, twitter, and tiktok. I think she’d be great and it would be an awesome way to bring the original vision for rogue (she was supposed to look like Grace Jones) to life. 💚💛

That's what it comes down to, isn't it? Good stuff like X-Men '97 (mimus what they did to Rogue) is flopping undeservedly because the nonsense Marvel/Disney have been peddling has seriously injured the reputation of the brand, potentially beyond repair. No individual movie or show is going to "save the MCU." ONLY a consistent return to quality and passionate storytelling that respects both the audience and the source material will have any shot of accomplishing that.

Cool ideas, but it all comes down to execution amd priorities. Stop hiring mediocre talent with no relevant experience and putting them on these massive projects they're not equipped to tackle. Focus on exciting and entertaining storytelling and faithful adaptations of beloved characters that people want to see instead of hiring based on arbitrary identity-based metrics other than skill and quality or doing "cute" and random twists that warp characters that fans enjoy beyond recognition. Quality output like X-Men '97 (except for how they're treating Rogue tbh) is undeservedly flopping in its viewership numbers because all of this nonsense Marvel and Disney have been peddling for years now how greviously damaged the reputation of the Marvel brand (just like Disney/Lucasfilm did to Star Wars). It doesn't matter what or how many cool ideas they have unless they get their ish together and get their priorities in order.

2nd season was a lil more enjoyable cause episodes made more sense and I got used to the fact that it is mostly fanfiction, and they seemed to atleast try to follow the books a tinyweeny bit better. It is still sad what they have done to it...

They shouldn’t be complicating things with the timeline and or multiverse stuff…. The remedy you ask? Make it so that the Marvel Movies that have been shown is NOT in the 616!!! They made a mistake IMO saying that they were in the 616 by Mysterio… by he’s a liar sooooo that might not matter at all.. the MCU has really been in 696 Universe all along not the 616… and here is where everything is normal!!!!

Its hard to get a read on how old the cast for this should be. Grammer is 69, but Lynch and Parris are both 36. I think around their age works best, but then we skip the First Class and some of the relationships of the younger members. Maybe it'll really be live action X-Men TAS/97. Emma Stone as Jean, Glen Powell as Cyclops, Monae as Storm. Bring back MBJ as Killmonger, but a good guy thats king of Wakanda.

X-Men ‘97 is corny AF. I loved the X-Men since #94 and GSX#1…that cartoon is as mediocre as it gets, but these Stan’s eating it all up and thinking it’s awesome. Great. But the best stuff is Claremont and Byrne. Claremont and Cockrum. That may 90s stuff was all over the place and simply meant for that low rent Image crowd that thought they were the tastemakers.
