Just blessed to finish my first full McIntosh stack (C712,MR7084,MCD7009,MC7150) with Klipsch speakers and OHHHH MMMMYYY......its a sound of a McIntosh system that just melts away the stress and puts your inner mind into the music for you to stay lost in. ....I hear the same thing here

Have you listened to a Focal Sopra no.3 speakers? B&W 802 D3 are good sounding but a Focal Sopra no.3 is just way better. I used to be a fan of B&W but when I experienced the sound of Sopra no.3 and their Utopia Evo series its just WOOOOOW!! I suggest have a listened to it and it might change your impressions about Focal.

@@bphilbac I wouldn't even take it for free. Junk trash.sounds dead dull, lifeless dark, murky , no transparency dynamics or sharp detailed sound, along with no resolution warm rolled off treble. Even Yamaha AS801 butt kick any macintosh products out off water, even Hagel amplifier Sony luxman Piooneer oldskool Kenwood Sanusi and marantz would shit on it.

@@alimiah7152 lol , I would agree with you if I didn't already own Luxman and Thomas Mayer amps in past. The Mcintosh dollar for dollar is way superior to any of the other amps I've owned. And when you can find it used or dealer demo at discount there is nothing on earth that touches it. Just my opinion of course but this is a very subjective hobby and whatever tickles your musical ears go for it. My current system is all Mcintosh all tube setup with Harbeth speakers and MartinLogan sub and it's simply glorious. End game for me.

That amp is Large, and IN CHARGE for sure.... such suave seduction. I adore McIntosh! A run with Persona 7F Paradigms with this track, would float me across the River Styx in an intoxicating nirvana.

Beautiful demonstration and showroom. Correct me if I'm wrong but those look like Polk Signature series on the floor. Is this because of the purchase of B&W by Sound United? If exotic HiFi sound can be had for what that series retails, then I would have no qualms. Are they at all comparable?

The MA12000 has a power rating of 350 watts and the 802 d3 can handle 50-500 watts. So I conclude this is a good match in power wattage. Would the 802s perform better with a MC 462 [450 watt rating]?

Hi, I am a few years late but can I ask what those Amp stands are? I love the leather wrap and stitches.

How does this compare to seperates of McIntosh. Such as a c2600 preamp and 611 monoblocks? That's what I may go after next. Between those or this McIntosh integrated or a gryphon Diablo 300m decisions decisions

You can hear the clear vocals . Honestly you can make a lot of equipment sound like this because it all happens at the preamp that is where much of the tonal definition happens . For speakers it the right box and a real good crossover that tunes any speaker to its maximum performance. I used to improve vocals with a 4" full range tuned and built a horn structure out of wood . Didn't sound like a 4" speaker. I always liked the old big Klipsch which had a metal horn then a woofer in another wood horn shape . Very efficient but big like you find in movie theatres.

Those 800D3 Nats are sick speakers. Eventually i will win the lottery and replace my NHT 3.3 Reference series with those speakers. But I will still keep my Krell kSA300S amps because they are way better than McIntosh. I have 2 pb16 ultras i bought not to long ago and i love them. SVS knows Subs. O BTW your shop is beautiful my friend.

I've retired recently, and would love to work a few hours a day in a nice hi-fi shop. But there are none anywhere close to me. I'm gonna pretend I work at this shop, and I've just opened for the day. So relaxing.
