This was a very respectful tribute to Matthew Perry’s life. Well done. I finally found a way to rewatch friends without the deep nostalgia, by thinking his legacy will live on. Everytime I need a laugh I watch Friends. Now that Matthew Perry has passed away it makes me sad before I watch. It just hits different.....

I taught English as a Second Language in Seoul, Korea, from 2002-2004. One of my students only wanted to watch Friends and disvuss it as we watched. His favorite character? Chandker Bing, of course. Rest in Peace Mathew Perry. We all love you.

America born but living in Taiwan.. Here many people love him and the show b/c it helped them learn English. Helping people learn a language to communicate and connect with other parts of the world means more than most realize. Could we BE any luckier to have lived in Mathew Perry's lifetime??? Most of my personality and my sense of humor, i noticed, came from his character on the show.. so I consider myself lucky

Yeah, that was a very cringy element of the show for me too. However, it really was a typical example of the lifestyle of that age group at that time. I wish that there had a been a voice of morality somewhere in the show though, even if it was just a minor influence.

I agree. What some might consider flaws I thought were charming on him. I wish he hadn't fixed his teeth, I adored his natural ones.

As an addict, I can totally relate to just "getting high" and sitting on my couch and watching TV. It's not partying, it's just to feel "normal." ONLY an addict can relate to THAT!!! 😢😢😢

You can't help someone if they're not ready to be helped so they were just "there" for when he was ready. I think they just kept loving him but not pressurising him...giving him space whilst still being there. Admittedly that comment sounded rather cold, but I don't think it was that black and white.
