I was told to think of MAC colour prefixes as “NW = not warm” and “NC = not cool”. It doesn’t make sense to me either but at least it helps me remember to look at NW colours for my cool neutral skin. 🇨🇦💕

The N stands for neutralizing… so NC is neutralizing cool (means warm shade) and NW is neutralizing warm (means cool shade)

Yes, Mac is opposite. Cool shade code for any other foundation is code for warm in Mac.

Oh my goodness by no stretch of the imagination is the N in the colors mean NOT…it’s Neutral…but have fun and a laugh may cause laugh lines but who cares lol

Hi Julie. Just came across your channel. I wanted to tell you. I'm "normally an NW20" with MAC foundation...however I went in store and got color matched to the new Studio Raidance fluid foundation, and I'm an NW14.5 in that in???? I must say. I love this foundation

You are so pretty. I’m so glad to see that you don’t pile on the makeup. Less is more as we get older. My son also served in the army. He was in a Ranger Regiment and stationed at Fort Benning in Georgia. Fort Benning has recently been renamed but I don’t know what the new name is.

Thank you so much, Donna. I agree, less is more. Sometimes I catch myself being heavy handed but when I do, I'm reminded quickly that it's not good. That happens when I'm in a rush though. Did your son always know that's what he wanted to do? Justin is waiting for his next training. He's in infantry. They have him helping with the training session now thank goodness. He needs to have a purpose. Sitting around waiting for his next training was awful for him. Today is Remembrance Day here in Canada. He had to march in the parade. I wish I could have been there. It has a whole new meaning now. I was always grateful and sad for the men and women who served but now I'm praying even harder that all the hate in the world will just stop. Thank you for taking the time to write, Donna. I love talking to everyone. xo

Hi Julie, great video 😊. You should look up a “necklace spacer” - it allows you to layer 2-3 chains and it prevents the chains from tangling.

When I wore Mac powder foundation I learned NC is “needs cool” to counter the warmth in skin. NW is ( needs warmth to counter the very coolness in skin). I’m a warm to neutral undertone and wore NC 25.

Another pro-makeup artist here on KZread. Said that when it comes to the Radiance Studio foundation VS Studio foundation. The Radiance runs darker. You can't go by what color you are in the Studio foundation. Like you said ( I jumped to the comment) section before I finished watching then WHOLE video. Love your videos! Thank you!

Amazon makes a double necklace clasp to keep the necklaces together without them turning or getting tangled. Hipe this helps. And thank you for the foundation review.

@@TheMarilyn1980 I use C3 in Studio Radiance and NC 25 in Studio Radiance serum powered. In winter I’ll use NC20 instead of NC25. The first one I mentioned in C3 is sheer so if my skin is good I’ll use that. When I need more coverage I’ll use the NC 20 or 25. Good luck!

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband, Kathleen. I hope you have some close friends/family around you. I think of my parents often and I'm not sure what they would do without each other. Their 57th anniversary is this September. They do everything together. I'm lucky to have parents who still love each other so much. What foundation do you wear now? What are you looking for? Even skin tone? Light coverage? Hydrating? If you purchase this one, be sure to pounce it into your skin. I find swiping it over my skin doesn't work. Use a large dense brush or a sponge to push it in and it's beautiful.

They were so kind to send products and they did have me give them my shade. I told them the shade that I typically use. I self tanned myself so I'm going to try it again now that I'm darker. I did a live video last night, Stine. I didn't announce because I wasn't sure if I was going to do it. It was fun but I have to stop myself from giving personal information. I forget that there could be many people watching. 🤦‍♀Then I have regrets that I have overshared. Anyway, it was fun. I'm going to do it again but I need more of a plan and I need someone in my comments to stop me from oversharing. 🤣 I need a buzzer attached to me to get zapped when I start talking about personal stuff.

@@JulieMeikle 😁 A buzzer 👍 Yes it is easy to say to much. It can help your channel if you let the livestream stay up. You can give people the option of asking questions maybe showing teknic in live can help some people. If you regularly do livestreams you have the option of making a patrion, they pay to support you and your channel and have the option of being in livestreams were there aren't many people. Some do let the livestream stay up after it is ended, it gives more subscriber in long run, and if they like it they wril become members, why would they not, you are such a kind person. @@JulieMeikle Nahhhh 😁 i dont know that much, I have just been in some livestreams and been a member in pateion ( sorry think it is misspelled) Stremyard is good, and if you are in to it, you can invite people or other creators to a talk about makeup, hair or clothes. People wants to interact with the creator they like, so you are more likely to get more subscribers if they can see the livestream in replay. I hope it makes scenes my English is lacking.. ☺️ The bedst way to learn about livestreams is to attend one and observe it 😉👍 It's a great idea to be live on KZread, Facebook, tvitter and instegram if possible, I don't have tvitter, instegram and I do have a Facebook but never juse it.. 😂 Big hugs from Denmark 💝🌹🥰

Wanna hear an even weirder MAC thing about this foundation. I went to Mac in our big mall in Indianapolis and they shade matched me with N12. Got on the website and there is no N shades in this. Spoke to the MAC rep and I got a special “international shade” that’s only at bigger stores. But they did tell me the closest shade match would be NW20. How bizarre is that? 😮

I gave up on MAC years ago. I'm a similar skin tone as you and they never made my shade.

Jeepers, I thought I answer you but I must of forgot to press reply, Gigi.🙃 I find it difficult for our skin tone as well sometimes but I often self tan which causes me problems in a lot of formulations. I have to mix often. I did see that they have a wider range in this formulation. I want to go into the store to look. What's your favourite brand for foundation? I love Dior Face & Body. They have a great colour selection. Haus Labs is one of my favourites as well. It's beautiful on the skin. L'Oreal True Match Serum Foundation is also wonderful. I use 2-3.

This Foundation is so different i`am a Typ NW15 and i bought the NW11 in the store the new radiant Foundation it oxidites and gets rosy and darker all the NC(10) Shades are too yelllow. I thought it is similar to an old satin Mac Foundation but it is dry and flakes on me. I don`t like it and the price 52 € expensive!

This is so good to know your experience. Thank you for sharing. I may stop in at the store at some point and swatch the other colours to see which one will match my skin. It's too bad the colours are so different compared to the rest of the line. I did like the texture and finish on my skin type but I didn't feel comfortable building it up since it was the wrong colour. Maybe MAC would give me a sample to take home. What foundations do you love?

With a sponge and one thin layer and without Primer it`s ok. More often i use mineral make up Marie W. 01 or Madara city cc cream light and for more Daniel Sandler invisible radiant skin Porcelain is a light neutral beige tone. Thank you for answer. @@JulieMeikle

Hi Julie. Lovely video. I have a pink undertone. Now Iam confused should I get NC shades or NW shades in this foundation. I tried in store NW15 and I felt it’s yellow . NC15 was dark for me.

@@reemali9421 Go lighter in this foundation NW11 is more rosy the NC 10 definetely too yellow and they get darker! Check it on your skin in Daylight in store. Greetings
