The wall rails... find one stud, put in one screw there, level and the built in hole spacing is stud spacing... makes it super easy to install. The pricing is a bit high compared to the rest of the line, but it seems appropriate for what it is. When you have heavy weight in a Packout, sometimes the unlocking can be tricky with the slide. I don't know if others have experienced similar...

@VCG Construction Already see an issue. First, I do want to say that I like how you can just plop it on unlike Milwaukee. Not that Milwaukee's solution is terrible by any means (I love Milwaukee), but for those in the dirty ground trades (on sand/dirt a lot) or even if your trade has "cleanx surfaces like mechanic, HVAC, etc.. overtime, dirt and whatever else will get inside those moving components and make it either not work or barely work. Milwaukee has just the one clip so all the feet and "shoes" can be washed off. And the one clip should be relatively easy to clean out. Especially since it's somewhat open. Those Ryobi ones seem pretty closed and really tough to get to. But just like anything, the more moving parts you have, the more points of failure you have as well.

  • @koma-k

@@koma-k Doesn't really matter if it's one or not. I mean, if it's one, it'd have a better chance since it's act like "awd" with all the springs working together. But once it's stuck, it's stuck. Granted, as long as you're not using it directly in the mud or sand, shouldn't be too much of an issue. Though.. you might hear grinding from what is in there. I just got one set of the link system but I can’t seem to find the detent pins for the handle. I have to remove it often and to bring a drill with me and then put the drill away just to remove the handle is kinda burdensome BUT I love the ryobi system, I just wish that detent pin they speak of was easily available/findable

I love my DeWalt tough system 2.0 Dolly system. It snaps together easily and keeps my tools dry and organized. I see one potential problem with this Ryobi system, when I wheel my gear around the back of someone's house I may have to lay it all out on mud or snow and I see this Ryobi system having problems with debris getting caught in the latch system. So far I haven't had any issues with my DeWalt tough system.

Bought my Ridgid setup about six months ago, then Ryobi announces these; they already look way better. The functionality alone means I’ll be buying these when they come out and selling my Ridgid. Heck, the fact that the crate placement isn’t limited to the top has me sold I’m also thoroughly impressed by the wall system. I didn’t know what to expect when they announced it Vince you were like a kid in a candy store 😂

Easy pass for me.... 3:50 "you said it Vince, time is money, time is money " .... but I have to remove bolts to remove the handle every time I need to put this in my truck to fit under the tonneau cover....or buy detent pins which will more than likely cause the handle to be loose.

Before i was on the milwaukee platform i was at my brothers house and he asked for help brings out ryobi tools i thought i would try them. Tried driving one screw finally got annoyed threw it across the room and got my 10yr old craftsman driver from home and they worked better. The pros i work with are mostly milwaukee dewalt and one guy has ridgid haven't met a pro yet that uses ryobi. But boxes look like they would be better than the ridgid ones if it wasn't for the color lol

Ryobi should put side latches on also for the lid for better waterproofing. All you got to do is look at some of the other cases out there that are set up that away they have the two front latches but they also have a side latch. That's always a weak point for water to get in or other dust

Anyone know where to buy those detent pins for the handle? I've been looking for about a year for them and haven't been able to find them anywhere. (every home depot near me says they're out of stock) and Ryobi won't sell them to me directly. Thinking about just getting some generic pins from McMaster Carr or such.
