We just finished the first unit of this level are really enjoying it. We will probably finish the 2 books and the nature reader by Christmas so I kind of wish there was one more volume with the parent/child sections. No big deal though because the TGTB book list can be sorted by level and we can pick those up at the library.

We are LOVING our level 2! My son looked forward reading Wesley and the wolves and Mollys Falcon story. I spent the last months playing with different curriculums but we just love the good and the beautiful! Such a great pace and helpful lessons! 🥰🥰 Always look forward to your reviews and videos!!!

Are you still liking this level? We are finishing All About Reading Level 2 this year and I've considered switching, mainly because I feel so overwhelmed thinking of piecing all elements of LA together myself. Do you feel the new phonics program will help create strong readers? I'm so so anxious about the decision!

Hi Nicole! We are really liking this level! I've gone through this program with my oldest 3 kiddos and so far they've all done well with reading. The lessons are versatile and fun. It's not an expensive curriculum, so you can try it for a while and see how it works for your family. ❤️

Did you transition your child from the old level 1 to this new level 2? How do you feel about the new level ? I have a daughter who is finishing old level 1 and want to make sure she won’t fall behind. Love your videos!❤

If you're going through the old Level 1 now, you should be ready for Level 2 when you're done. No need to do the booster cards for Level 1. ❤️

@@kelseapalmer357 They do typically finish around the same time, but that doesn't always happen right at the end of the school year. Sometimes we are still doing last year's work at the beginning of a new school year. 😁

My question is: Im using level one old verson. Will level 2 new verson be less advanced than the older one? I did save all the pdf's of the older versons....such a hard choice to know what to do! As a side note....I do have the printed old verson of level 3 that we plan on using....

You should be fine to move into Level 2 from the older edition of Level 1. It might be a slower pace and your child might already know some things, but you can either skip those areas or just have them do it as review and a confidence builder. :)

When you stepped back, what program did you use? I remember watching when your son was needing extra support and now my son is In the same place !

We actually tried AAR for a bit but he didn't like it very much. I think it went too fast for him. So we just read the Beginner Books from TGTB everyday for a month or so. It did take us 2 years to get through the Kindergarten curriculum. So we just did 2 yrs of Kindergarten. Hope this helps!

Do you think this new curriculum is academically rigorous and is on track with the standards for each grade?

Hi thank you for making these videos. I was wondering if you have a reason you order physical workbooks vs the digital that you print? Do you find it more economical or just easier to use? I printed our math and LA this past year and i think i want to go back to the physical books but I’m trying to decide so i was curious of your reasoning

Hi Courtney! I actually found it more cost effective and less stressful on my part. Having to print out 4 course books plus booster cards and readers would cost me more money than just buying them. Not to mention the time and energy. And I can't beat the quality of their printing. 😁 I hope this helps! ❤️
