    Appreciate the shoutout! Good unboxing, the servo is rated at 7.4V, but the receiver specs say 7.2V, so I haven't bumped mine up yet. I like how you have the Kraton (4S?) in the background... 😉

    The slippery feeling on the tires is most likely the mold release. After a run, the mold release should be gone. Or you can give the tires a quick wash to remove it.

    I think the extra pinion should be included as well. Maybe team corally thinks that the people buying this rig are seasoned bashers who have additional pinions and such.

    This is the vehicle that will launch Corally forward and make their competitors take them seriously. I think Arrma will have to completely revise their 3s trucks because of this vehicle or maybe they will do that with new 4s lineup. It's pretty much the same money and the Arrma has plastic shocks, plastic bushings in the linkages and no centre diff, don't mind a plastic chassis keeps the vehicle light, the slipper is probably the 3s biggest weakness.

    Corally will not be getting popular in America, and that is a massive market they are missing out on. Arrma and Traxxas take up 90% of the market here, and we have nothing but bad experiences with corally. From their warranty, to durability, it just feels like a cheaper Arrma. The skeeter is very cool, but nothing to stress about.

    Great unboxing Vas. I had the same issue with the oil :( Looking forward to your run at the track. I've had mine for a few weeks but January/Febuary in Canada is full blown winter time. I haven't been able to get out and really enjoy the truck. 1/8+ are better here in the winter months.

    As always, an thorough unboxing Vas! I haven't heard that the radio was an old Ofna one 👍 The space for a fan is pretty sneaky design as well. Lots to like on this one. I have seen a few videos where the bumper doesn't hold up so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts for you. Hopefully you can get this one out to Altona 🤩

    Like the whole design of the car, the fact that the body covers all of the side and the electronics is a must in my opinion. 100% agree that it should come with a pinion gear to prove their speeds. As i have mentioned before all electric rc cars should come with a heatsink with cooling fan on the motor and esc. Only 1 wish i think it should be 6s compatible, apart from that I'm impressed, was just about to order the kronos but not now. Great job Vas👍

    Great review Vas, didn't know about the motor mount first I have seen of that a little bit of a pain as you say. Agree on the speed on the box should include the gearing as you say.The thing is a tank, seen some early 6s stuff from JayTee as well. Razor RC has removed the wheely bar off and the front bumper as the skid also acts as a bumper

    I agree about the extra pinion Vas. I find it a little odd it's geared so low. Would think that even a 14t or 15t woulda gave that little bit extra speed out the box. But I love mine even though I haven't been able to run because of snow but it seems incredibly built. I've been waiting on this truck for a while lol. I have a maximus and it's one of my favorites and toughest trucks for sure. I'll tell you another thing is arrma has some stiff competition for their 4s line that's in the works. I really hope it's like the sketer and a scaled down 1/8th 6s truck and not like the v1s that was a slightly bigger, mostly plastic 3s truck. Great presentation Vas

    So far, it looks like a solid entry into the 4S lineup. Great unboxing. very honest review, much appreciated. I am really digging the components on this basher. I am looking forward to its maiden voyage to see how it performs on dirt? My only concern would be parts? How is team Corraly's parts availability not just for the Sketer, but for its entire lineup here in the USA?

    This will be a bit bigger than than the Granite, but while the Granite runs 3S, the Sketer uses 4S. So you have to take into account running costs as well, if that matters to you.

    Supplier has most, if not all the parts for TC, however, it's finding them at shops that you might have an issue with. So be prepared to order them through your local shop if you need parts.

  • @realazliving

    Yeah I agree about the marketing hype. Pretty much every car is advertised on the box at speeds you need to change the gears or battery to achieve the advertised speed. At least that's what I've experienced. When I worked at a big company the marketing director asked me if I knew the difference between marketing and lying. I said no. He said well neither do I.

    Yeah, though one... Those cars and support for them was discontinued years ago, so I'm not sure what your chances are at getting any parts for them. Unless you can retro-fit some other brand of driveshafts on there, that truck is probably just a paper weight now. Sorry.

    Looks like a beefed up Arrma Granite.

  • @Megasty15
    @Megasty152 жыл бұрын

    All the 4s/6s stuff is irrelevant when it come to this beast. It has all the beef of a 6s truck simply with a 4s system, but I only run my V2 Kronos on 4s geared up a bit since it's straight up nuts stock on 6s - plus it runs much cooler on 4s. I wouldn't mind dropping the 6s system in this since I have an extra one lying around thanks to JRC. For those that care about the 4s/6s stuff, Corally is showing Arrma how its done. Trying to pump up a purely plastic truck to handle 4s was an utter disaster. If they don't "shrink" their 6s platform into 4s models, I'm not even going to give them the time of day. I had to deal with a Kraton 4s basically for free, & I still thought I was wasting my time on it. There are definitely enough upgrades available now to make the platform 4s capable, but it'll be close to $700-$800 all in afterwards & still not even be close to the full package that this thing is.

  • @Johnwick-ed7vo
    @Johnwick-ed7vo2 жыл бұрын

    I actually think a ready to run with all the beef that this has for a basher category this is hitting most of my marks if ran right and not beat to heck , but as a 4s vehicle is perfect, as if u want to over power ur vehicle then that should be the option parts and have no problem with having to beef up the beefed up braceing since this is technically is built for a 4 s not 6 or God let's hope not but 8 s systems it is Apple and oranges, as stress is much greater with bigger systems, that should be on the consumer not the maker , they build to spec. It should be judged only at those secs. So in short love the reviews as always and ur better off running with corollary as everyone into rc knows these days a certain company is having magior issues with production quality, no one but the the elite rc people want to buy a ready to run and have to tear it completely apart to make sure everything is good in it and tight, and yes I have experienced this myself even there, and I'm talking about more than just missing screws, and that's bad enough on any companies ready to run but I mean actually missing parts or bad parts out of the box, they let a lot of people down that backed this name just 4 years ago, I personally think the growth as compared to quality standards bit them in the butt hard and I hope they get it worked out since I know alot of rc people won't touch their ready to runs, also if u don't want to make sure u have the same quality u started with in your ready to runs, then offer more kit versions and put that sort of quality on the builder, but as for missing parts????? They dropped the ball anyway u look at it, just my opinion.
