I recently saw a YT video called: 'Wait... Chaos are the good guys?' And I thought: 'Yes, of course it is, if you know anything about Warhammer's roots in the science-fiction of Michael Moorcock, you'd know that chaos represents a kind of libertarian/anarchism (Moorcock has *ALWAYS* been a fan of anarchism)... and 'order' is usually presented as stifling rules and inability to adapt.' I really don't like when people talk about sci-fant factions as 'evil', it represents such a simplistic and childish view of quite a well-realised fictional world... nobody considers themselves 'evil' in real life, do they? Literally the eight-pointed star of Chaos represents 'choice'. I'd recommend the sci-fi of Moorcock to anybody who is interested in Warhammer.

I was actually really sad Nick didn't join in with his thousand sons :( but was very happy to see him help out with the modeling, very cool!

The female vampire's conversion was really good, but with GS you could add a "flame/sparks" effect to the left arm, just to mask the metal rod, the face is astounding, plus the 3d printed miniguns are incredible!👍😱

I will definitely take inspiration for my chaos Dark Angels possessed Edit: The fur from the wulfen was a nice touch to hit home on the bat mutant mammal theme

This is a great idea, I've been thinking about doing something like this but have yet to find the right model. I play Emperor's Children & in the Books there's a character called Lady Savona, a Slaanesh cultist & former slave who just worked her ass off & ended up becoming the commander of a company of Chaos Marines.

The proxy is an amazing and unique choice. Might be tempted to do the same with human corsairs for the Eldar.

The tickle monster is one of the greatest models I have ever seen. Bravo gents!!

@@barrywonderdog night lords don’t truly believe in chaos gods, I love the trilogy of books, but them not as good as word bearers or world eaters, or emperor childrens, or even thou suns… I do like them models and stuff, but them not believers 🤷‍♂️😉🐶

I dunno guys all these atrocities make me a bit nervous about joining chaos

The Tickle Monster, aka Terror the Tickler. Imagine being Imperial Guard and getting tickled to death. Death by tickling being a thing in the 40k universe! Acid spitting bugs, fine. I'd rather my comrades see me melt in excruciating pain than see me get tickled to death. All enemy units within 9" of Terror the Tickler have -1 to moral.

I wish these were actual buyable models from gw or something. This team is an amazing idea and you are very creative.

May help, but for gold I usually give a coat of brown first, it helps to get a rich gold faster, also brown is good for red and bone parts

You could always argue certain warbands among the Heretic Astartes are "Good" despite the propaganda against them. Sevetar is a pretty good example. Definitely recommend the story "The Long Night" By Aaron Dembski-Bowden, it's in the Horus Heresy Audio Collection 2.

brilliant approach

I did a small experiment with sprue goo, if you put a thin layer of it on top of cork and around the edges it keeps the rocky look while making it easier to stick things to and on top of that, you don't need to super glue it to the base (though you should)

About cutting towards you self... It's all about can the knife slip and cut into you hand. Which is why you use the same hand to cut and hold so your entire hand slips... Which that time you were not cutting toward your self as it could not slip and hit your other hand.

Now that you got a peek at Carnevale, do get a second look at the game itself, the setting is very unique among wargames (including Venice as a background which provides very different terrain opportunities) and the game is nice Also, drug deals with 3D printing :P

My Night Lords Kill Team will be MK III SM with the Night Lords conversion kit for heads and shoulder pauldrons.

I’m doing a heavy chainaxe kitbash with my eldrich omens chosen, hopefully to be used as Khorne berzerkers. I know the weapon profile hasn’t his the market yet, I just love the look and it’s a ton of fun. Also used a severed Wulfen head as a trophy…we all have some Wulfen skeletons In Our closet jay.

Lieutenant Unga Arms is my favorite member of this kill team. He's here to give murder hugs and take names.

I like to base coat gold areas with a warm brown like mournfang brown. Gold goes on way smoother

Becoming a Chaos player is surprisingly a lot like being corrupted by Chaos. You come into it wide eyed and idealistic, getting all in on a faction like the Tau or someone from the Imperium. Then you start reading a little bit more of the lore, and exploring a little more of the model range, and you find yourself getting your hands on Chaos. Just a single model at first. You may not even like Chaos at all. They may seem like an edgier knock off of the Imperium, but man that one model looks really cool, or that one character or faction from the lore is really interesting, or "oh hey there's actually a lot of customization options on these marines, they're not as gated off and weird with the primaris/firstborn divide of the loyalists and the terminators fit perfectly." You know they're traitors, but they're too tempting to resist. Then you start painting them, scoffing at the idea of the dark gods, you just like the models and the story. You may say to yourself "oh my models don't worship Chaos, they're just renegades against the cruel Imperium", but then you get a few more models, and then you start developing a taste for the spikes and the mutations. Maybe you used to ask the god emperor for good luck on your rolls, but you can't do that anymore, so who can you ask? Well maybe this Tzeentch guy fits the bill. It's just a silly thing, right, might as well be appropriate to your faction? Slowly, bit by bit, you slide into becoming a full on Chaos player and letting the galaxy burn. For the dark gods!

I personally would have gone with a daemonhost (not the actual model but something like it.)

I only put sand where I didn't put the crackle so I had both textures on each base

funny that ive got a 40k nightlord army with their own witch lady slaneesh follower, i used the sigmar lady annika and tied her in with the pinks of slaneesh which my night lords worship and so will fit with the energy weapons and daemons
