    Dude! Great video! Thanks for the advice - think I'm going to go with Tough Dog as well. The stability on-road for the Jimny is a big issue for me, and I wasn't sure a suspension upgrade would address that particular problem. I thought it would only affect off-road handling. have had these installed on my jb74 jimny for 6 months or so now (australia). amazing transformation as you described. i love the way the shocks and srpings have performed for me offroad & onroad so far. it does need caster correction kit to just 'twist' the front axel back for a slightly positive caster. This is evident in 1:02 where you can see the springs 'banana' due to the forward or negative caster. the pitman arm does move from any changes in the steering linkages being pulled when changes to height and caster are made, so a wheel alignment is absolutely necessary to avoid death wobbles and off centre steering.

  • @justjimny

    @justjimny

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the comment , I had the option on the 60 and 80mm lift , but with knock on effects on 60mm and 80mm setups that will cost much more to get the Jimny in decent driving condition while on road(Castor correction bushes , adjustable panhard rods , driveshaft extensions ect). I still want to use my Jimny as a good all rounder and I am not planning going with larger tyres because I still want to keep my fuel consumption low and the power decent on road. End of the day you can always just fit other coils to gain extra lift or load capacity if you need it , thus the 40mm made money sense to me and I am very happy with it on road and off road.

    Hi there ! Thank you for your amazing videos. I am planning to buy the 4 door model (Automatic Transmission) in India. I have a couple of questions and was hoping if you could please help me with your experience. 1) I will be driving 95% on-road (only 5% off-road, if at all). Of the 95% on-road, approx. 60% will be bumps, minor potholes, cement roads, and not so good roads in general. Can you please help me know if I need to upgrade my suspension for a better ride quality to suit my usage ? 2) On the tyres; the model in India will come with 195/80 R15. Do you also suggest a tyre upgrade ? Thank you very much in advance for your help !

  • @justjimny

    Hi thank you for the support. I think first try out the suspension , and if you are not happy with the ride quality then you can upgrade the suspension. The stock tyres are not really designed for bad roads , so having a look at a good AT tyre upgrade might be a good choice , you can go for a 215/75R15 or a 225/70R15 depending on the sizes availible to you.
