NEW JERSEY to NEW YORK at 6AM - the commute v358

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A bright and early commute from Nutley, New Jersey to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Thinking of moving to Jersey - this is what your commute will look like. This is the whole thing - minus 10 minutes in the tunnel - that I sped up.

    Damn $15 for a motorcycle is crazy. You think NYC would give you at least a little bit of a discount.

    Yea, its pretty ridiculous. Alot of bridges/tunnels do give you a discount - but I guess not this one.

    The vloggyvlog keeps things really real. Genuine, even. Those eternally positive channels are offputting sometimes, and I remember reading an article somewhere that likened their presentation to classic carnival barking (step right up, step right up, see the blah blah blah). Also, when you mentioned climbing a tree early in this episode I immediately thought 'that probably had something to do with a drone'. Guess I was right!

  • @ducatinyc

    @ducatinyc

    Hehe yea, climbed 20 feet up on a tree to shake it so the drone falls out.... I dont wana keep talking about my drone without any footage to show for it. But i'm still learning so the footage is not all that incredible - yet. Soon though. And that is a great analogy with the carnival barking (didn't know it was called that) - it's exactly what it is. Thank you as always for your comment.

    Another fantastic Vlog. Isn't it so much better to use the bike to actually go somewhere? It's such a different feeling from the automated elastic sensation of the daily work commute. Even if it's only for 20 miles. When I do that, I feel that the bike becomes more noble, that it has a stronger and more meaningful purpose. I also enjoyed the transition from dark New Jersey to the first light of day revealing Manhattan, so much beauty. Thanks man.

    I know exactly what you mean. When i rode cross country twice it was the feeling you speak of times 100. I know many people have done that ride I felt like it was me and my machine vs the country and all of its roads - I could take it anywhere. And just like that transition you mention, its so incredible to watch the transition between towns and states and weather. I think my favorite is the early rides. One of the most favorite vlogs I ever done was when I rode from the Catskill mountains back to NYC at 7am, it was a warm summer day, foggy, and I just felt such love for the moto and the feeling of freedome and balance on the bike. I think its called I LOVE MOTORCYCLES :) Sorry, a long incoherent reply, but you get the gist of it.

    I know you know this but wear more reflective gear during night riding because those 4 wheeled cages need to see you coming miles away..

    Good point - I don't do much riding in the night or early morning - but if i did, more reflective stuff would def be in the cards.

    Nicely, morning return home. Incredibly, drive approx. 25-30 miles and constant city, traffic, nice, nice.$ 15 tunnel, I think that's the American standard may be expensive. It's just a motorcycle. Bye!

  • @ducatinyc

    @ducatinyc

    7 жыл бұрын

    15$ is WAY too expensive even for USA. NYC doesn't care. It was a really fun and chill commute that morning. Not sure if I would want to do this every day, however.
