Great to see the car coming on, as for cheap fuel injectors there's a reason they are cheap, best way is to buy some injector service kits and a 12v injector cleaner that runs on carb cleaner, Amazon sell them for around £35 . this then hopefully saves buying new Bosh injectors.😊

Replace the intake gaskets, they tend to get sucked in over time and cause UN-regulated air into the engine (bypassing the mass air flow meter). When you do the intake gaskets, also replace the gasket for the crankcase breather. With the intake off you will have better access to the breather. The breather is a known oil leak location that is not fun to get to. If you still have a running problems, the air flow meter may need to be adjusted, you would need a way of monitoring the exhaust/mixture to do that properly. I would also suggest purchasing the Wayne R. Dempsey "101 project for your 911" project book. I would also suggest visiting the pelican parts 911 forum. Don't get discouraged as simple as an air cooled 911 seems, there are lots of things to learn to get them up to top notch performers. It took me many months to sort out my 85 911. Keep up the good work! John

Take notice of this man, because I was going to suggest that the same thing basically the breather system for bypass gases , which is a circularity system which can be controlled by a one-way valve on your inlet manifold. If this one-way valve which is commonly known as a PVC system has failed this can cause bad running.

Interesting with the fuel injectors, and that was part I looked at with my 928,as it was running to rich But with new engine about to go in,it will be easier to diagnose with the OB 2 Will take a lot of the guess work away👍 Cheers Frank

surely not your problem, but, my 1988 Carrera always 'hesitated' pulling away- I thought clutch judder, so new clutch- no- the 1 into 6 injector wiring harness was the fault- left side back cylinder- cheap repair plus 1 new injector because of the heat over time. Brilliant ! and 20% more power over night/day .. . : ) good luck with your efforts

Great video as always mate really enjoying the series, probably a daft question but did you try all 6 new injectors at once instead of just one bank at a time? I worry that the old ones might have slightly different flow rates which it won’t compensate for - probably wrong but it came to mind haha

good idea on the fuses to check first it may save you a lot of time with issues. With the engine issue it maybe a vacuum leak. Look for cracks in rubber tubings ect. Good luck.

2:49 Need to take all the injectors out and do a flow test on them. You can purchase very inexpensive injector test equipment. I have a video on my channel titled "3.2L Porsche 911 Cabriolet: Fuel injector test/clean, engine assembly and startup [4K] Ep107" Get some hot Berrymans through those things and they will function much better. In this one, I got the best results from cleaning and installing new filter screens and rubber/plastic parts on the old injectors. Better choice than unloading the parts cannon.

Okay, so I’m gonna suggest something quite an orthodox now you had an old fuel pump hanging around. I suggest that you make use of this take one of the fuel rows off of the car stick the injectors into it get a piece of wood and drill free holes into it for the injectors at the bottom to go into so Fuel well on the top Injectors on the bottom cups underneath the piece of wood and attach the fuel row to the fuel pump and energise it now to operate the injectors. All you need is a 12 V battery and there’s only two contacts. This will open and close the injectors, this way you can test the injectors. Also you can put the new injector beside an old injector and see if the spray pattern is the same, the reason for the cups underneath is when you operate the injectors, you can see if you are putting too much fuel through in other words to see if the injectors that you have bought are correct for your car in other words that they are not pumping too much fuel not only that you could buy your self some injector cleaner which you can put through your old injectors to get the correct spray, pattern and clean them , as I don’t think that a drop in voltage is causing the problem and he has another thing when you put injectors into the fuel rail and the car make sure that you put some grease around the O-ring otherwise they have a tendency of not seating properly, which will let air in and make the car run like shit

PS when you energise the injectors, you only want to click them on and off quickly do not hold them open, otherwise they will get very hot
