Even aside from EVERYTHING else, just the time saved from summoning full moons rather than waiting doing nothing at night (and resources wasted on light) is actually not to be ignored

Another infinite light method is really starting to piss off Charlies I imagine... 0_o

Day begins to touch the Constant once more. The night prior, the mighty Deerclops devastated yet another camp and claimed the spare meat as his. Strange thing, though. It swore there was one less survivor among the dead than there should be, based on its prior stalkings. Oh well, the extra could've just starved or fallen to another beast elsewhere. One less kill in a history of terror isn't something to lose sleep over. Speaking of, the Deerclops began to tire out. The survivors did fall, but they at least put on a good fight. It would take a few days of beauty sleep to get back the lost energy, but the Deerclops had no fear of a sudden attack. It dozes off, thinking of the next camp it could destroy once fully rested. The next night, the Deerclops considered sleeping through it as well. After all, rest is deserved after a hard battle. But a faint warmth and scent of burning wood awoke it. It attempted to see the source, but its single eye was still blurry by the time it was forcing itself closed, and the Deerclops back to sleep. This continued for a time, with it hearing sounds of construction between waking ups and slumbers. Eventually, however, the Deerclops had enough time to fully awake. When it could finally see again, it was surrounded by tall wooden constructs, which it recognized as the housing of pigs, a structure its very familiar with destroying. It walked up to the nearest one and raised a mighty claw to strike it down, but as claw hit wood, there was light. Not the light of day, this light was too blue. But it only took a glance at the sky to realize. A full moon, in place of what should be none tonight. This confused the Deerclops long enough to forget about the newly formed Werepig at it's feet. The transformed pork howled, calling out more from the other housings. The Deerclops could usually handle something like this without issue, but after using so much force against the survivors there was nothing left to give. The last thing it heard was the cackling laugh of an old lady gone mad. And the last thing it thought, was that a new diety of the Constant has awoken.

Use it at the wrong time however and you reset the Moon Cycle...

They need to make it not affect the moon cycle and give it a multi-day cooldown so that a single Wickerbottom can't just turn night off, disable the Shadow Pieces, and make life hell for Woodie mains.

Or perhaps they could just make him immune to full moon with a certain item, but I don’t have any good idea, how to balance it, cause it shouldn’t be easy yet manageable. I mean, I can’t truly see them making a cooldown for this book, because you can have duplicates, so what’s the purpose of that, if you have to wait, am I right?

Wicketbottom now has the power to control the moon. Charlie: *sweats profusely*

I think her new powerful new book is the bumblebee one. Basically, she can now conjure up an army. Not that they are the most powerful followers by any means, but there are several characters for which being able to build an army is their whole thing. Now wickerbottom can easily do it too, AND she still have all her countless super powerful other books. On tentacles also works well with a lot of bosses.

I’ve already used this with woody, my friend was a goose before the night and I used the full moon book to extend it so he could scout more

That’s why I love her so much, she is suuuch a time saver. What about we change her whole description to ‚Earlier’, it basically summarize everything

In defense of the Woodie and possibly WX-78 players I a Wurt main will hang out by book shelf and read books until they break to stop the trolling.

To try and curb the painfulness of the nerf, I wanna propose some changes. My first thought is nerf the amount of charges a book has, maybe even make it use up to like 75% a charge, so if you want a bunch of full moons, you'll need a bunch of these books. My next idea is to actually add a charge to it, so it takes 25% to read, but require an iridescent gem for the craft. My last idea is combine the 2 by making a weaker, but cheaper version that only has 1 use and takes like 100 sanity per cast, and then have the buffed version keep the same perks I mentioned above. I'd also like to see a change to the lux aeterna redux that makes it follow the caster around, even if it's somewhat slowly.

The whole ghost thing could actually be combined with WerePig farm for quasi automated farming, so that's not so bad of a thing if you know who to work it to your advantage. And yes, I can forsee many, many nerfs and tweaks coming soon.

There is definitley gonna be a hot fix making it so it dosent change the moon cycle because it could lead to potential griefing also when you log back on the loyal grumble bees won’t attack you aswell

Turning rain on or off, faster plant growth, no wildfires if kept up, stopping the sandstorm, being able to get Pearl an umbrella or something early and... what? I guess if it rains long enough the world will get wet meaning better electric damage but that's super situational.

What is the dmg circle mods you have?

With how Klei is tweaking characters in other updates I don't imagine we will be getting BIG reworks for anyone besides the final two (Wilson and Maxwell) anytime soon.

Strategically resetting the moon cycle could be an entirely new strategy, yes!

The speedrun team got a new member Walter (marble pieces) Wendy (farming/B queen) Wolfgang (Battle) And now Wickerbottom (full moon events)

I like the ability of forced fullmoons with her! The end game sucks because storms are uncontrollable, destroy stuff, and once your done you have to kill the boss to stop it. Can maxwell use her books still and her her new shelf!?

Oh good lord I forgot about Maxwell, I just started a Maxwell world too. With the bookshelf you wouldn't even need to keep swapping back and forth either, you could just recharge the books on their last use

Still in awe at just how ludicrously OP this book is, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they decided to nerf this in the future. Even something so simple as, "I'm fighting this raid boss but it's going to run into the night, better make it a full moon so I can see what I'm doing" is going to be very helpful if you're a Wickerbottom or if you have a Wicker on your server

I hope they don't nerf her :(
