I may repeat myself, but keeping up and future proofing for iOS, is no doubt tedious, but invaluable to all the folks loyal to their devices. Especially with an app like MixEffect. Kudos and keep up the good work. Will be interesting to see what Apple WWDC brings!

Yes, there are some features in iOS 16 that I'd like to adopt, but they would break compatibility with iOS 14 and 15. Though I don't have stats, I would imagine most of my users are on iOS 16, with a smaller percentage on iOS 15. And, those that are using the app on iOS 14 can upgrade to iOS 15 (but probably not iOS 16). I've been thinking of dropping support for iOS 14 in the next release. The work never ends!

Thank you very much Adam, we can’t praise enough what a contribution you have done to the Atem user community with your MixEffect app. You have turbo charged our Atems with your affordable app which just does magic to our devices. Before I had always to bring along a PC to access a lot of my Atems functions. And then all the supersource magic your allowing. The maintenance and evolution of your app can’t be praised enough, it’s just great to be a customer of yours. Big kudos 👍👍👍🤩

+ 1. Mixeffect Pro has been a game changer for me. Although I'm still getting my head around all the features, I have a small team of volunteers, the joy I get seeing their faces from the power of a stream via mixeffects.

Can I use mix effect with a Atem Mini Extreme ISO to turn individual iPads into camera specific confidence monitors?

Not easily. ATEM Extreme only has two HDMI outs and MixEffect cannot take in a raw HDMI signal directly. You could output the HDMI to a computer with HDMI input cards or USB sticks, then use something like VDO.ninja to stream them over the network. Then the iPad can receive the signal. But again, you would be limited to two inputs only.

Would be awsome to fix app running in vackground when using other apps on ipad. Because when the app is not in foreground it does not work anymore

MixEffect Pro has the new gold color to distinguish it from the free to download MixEffect (with the Pro in-app purchase upgrade). Check your ATEM’s IP address to make sure it didn’t change from what is saved in your Switcher Connection entry in MixEffect also make sure that Local Network is still toggled in iOS Settings > MixEffect (it’s unlikely to have toggled off automatically).

Can you describe the problem more? Is it an intermittent disconnect or something more like you switch to a different app on the iPad and the connection drops? Are you wireless or wired Ethernet to the network? Which model iPad?

@@AdamTow Its an intermittent drop, The Ipad is wireless to the network 2 year old Ipad pro 10inch. All other devices are on a local switch the switch is added to my network by a Airport extreme. Companion remains connected to my Atem and Hyperdeck on the local switch.. I am happy the network is solid as I stream live out and have no stream connection issues. Mix effect can be in the foreground and drop connection. and not reconnect until I force it to. I have tested the ipad and its solid it seems to be Mix effect losing conection

Which Atem is this as well? There are known problems with the Constellation 2ME where it sends a ton of network traffic which can cause disconnects and lockouts. Make sure you are running latest version of MixEffect. I have found turning off and on Wi-Fi on device helps or the occasional restart of the device. Wired Ethernet is the best and most reliable to maintaining a strong connection. All said, I too have seen disconnect happen at random. The ATEM protocol between Connected devices relies on the ATEM and controller to be constantly talking back and forth with each other. If one or the other doesn’t receive an “I am still here” packet within 1-2 seconds, it considers the connection to have failed and disconnects. I am always looking to improve this, but I am somewhat at the mercy of how the network works. How long do you wait before manually reconnecting? MixEffect should successfully reconnect provided you don’t have too many other devices controlling the ATEM. You mentioned two controllers, MixEffect and Companion. Any others? ATEMs have a typical controller limit of five. Exceed that and you may have problems connecting or reconnecting devices.

Will it be available on windows one day. Is the app on mac computers ?

@@vivrelocean As long as it's a Mac with an Apple Silicon processor (M1 or M2), you should be fine. MixEffect doesn't support Intel processor Macs.
