It's been a long time since I've watched a horror movie and suddenly wanted to see if there is a good one coming... but for some reason, watching these trailers, I got the feeling that it is the same movies from 5-10 years ago but with different demons, faces etc. only the "scary" moments are the same - either a really loud sound or women screaming lol. The jumpscares, usually a monster face with loud sound, are not scary. It's human's natural reaction to flinch when that happens. You can literally clap in front of somebody's face when they are not expecting it and get the same reaction.

the youtube channel clear critique makes some great list of horror movies. there are definitely unique horror movies being made, you just have to filter through a lot to find them.

They're afraid of taking risks so they just run the formula with new and improved technology, but even then it's not much better, look at Insidious for example, that holds up to today, it's just a more diverse cast and it's all so uninspiring. Amazing these movies receive any funding at all. I guess a profit is a profit. Fucking garbage though.

These movie are all the same.....slasher, pycological and supernatural, thats it... I just want a good im legend like/train to busan/world war z like zombie movies... But every new year there is nothing since 2019.

I am a huge fan of the horror genre and always have been since I was a kid. I just have one question though…why does most of the actors and actresses have English accents?

I can see better in the dark, and most people can't. So if someone is in my apartment, I'd see them on before they see me. Which would suck for them.

Cut to present day horror movies that now rely on weak stories full of jumpscare after jumpscare with cheap loud sound effects just to make a bit scarier >.>
