A massive change for the new year . It has definitely been a journey with many happy surprises. ♥️

You're so brave and I admire you. My heart dropped when I saw what was happening so I guess I have my answer...I am attached to my hair. I give myself trims but it's been over ten years I've had a big chop like this ...wow !

Thank you. Hopefully I didn't break your heart. ❤️ having long hair is awesome but sometimes a change can be good. I wanted to make sure any change I made would not be damaging to the health of my hair. Big chops take alot of courage. I'm hoping to not do something as drastic for a long time. I remind myself that my hair is an extension of me not all of me. It empowers in all various lengths.

This was just beautiful. I literally see the positive energy released with each cut!

Wow! That was a total shocker!!!😂 was not expecting that. I like the bob. I am attached to my hair. It's mid back length. I can't see myself cutting it, but who knows? We all suddenly change our minds right? Happy New Year!

Sometimes cutting shorter great for the hair health . Those unhealthy hair will not affected if you wanna better growth.take what exactly you need to cut off.better hair growth and thicker fuller ends. I just think why some people won’t let go the ends especially have uneven and split ends,if you don’t cut the will continue splitting up even more,for some people they feel like chopping their hair will loose themselves.

Those scissors were for sure not sharp and strong enough to cut soo much thick hair in one big snip. If I ever do that again, I need bigger sharper scissors.

Wondering if next time you would cut just a few inches less by yourself and then go to a salon and have a professional finish shaping it for you?

I think that would be an excellent idea, especially if I plan on doing a final look that is shorter. I will definitely need professional help getting a more crisp look. Sadly, where I live, if I went to a professional to do such a big chop they would charge too high and that's why I try to learn to do as much as I can on my own. But I still have alot to learn when it comes to hair. 😊

It grows faster now but I am not my hair....I had to teach my little sisters that I can be pretty with short hair They are in school still so hair length is a major thing especially when they are surrounded by people with different textures....I also wanted to look different...I tried everything long but I don't know if I can rock everything short so I'm trying different styles until I grow it out again

I know how important it is to make sure we are good role models for thr younger generations as well. They look up to us in soo many ways. Your sisters may not fully understand what your doing now but they will look back and remember your adventurous side and bravery. When I was in high school I was soo attached to my hair and that's when it was damaged all over.

It was a wild moment when I decided to cut my hair. I promise not to do anything as drastic as that to my hair again. As I have been getting older, I have wanted a new change in hairstyle. 😊❤️😊 I'll be growing it back.

@@Antwenetta black women can definitely have super long hair and I will keep encouraging everyone to believe in that ability. With a good dedicated routine, I think my hair will reach waist length within 2 to 3 years. No more chopping. ♥️
