so surprised by hoka dropping the Stinson 7... dope
The Stinson ATR has been my go-to shoe since it was known as the Stinson Tarmac. Though I've been hoping this shoe would be offered in wide widths, my feet have seemed to adapt in recent purchases. Or maybe the 6 just got a bit wider through its production run? You say the shoe runs true to size. This is news since I've always gone up a size. So is it really true to size in comparison to the 6? Also, the size 14 I wear is 15.2OZ so hopefully the 7 won't be heavier. Though I've been in them for so long that I really don't notice the weight. Anyway, the 6 is on sale now, so I'll grab a few pair of those until the 7 is released. On that note, when is the expected release date? Good evaluation of the 7. Thanks!
Would you go with this or the asics trabuco max 2?
Good morning from 🇪🇸. Thanks Ryan but i don't like big max cushion, now i have Saucony peregrine 13. Here is my like. Have a great Sunday. ⛰️🏃⛰️
Nice review, wondering what you find has more forefoot width, this or the Challenger 7? Hoka sadly always seem to run narrow. Thanks for your work.

Sounds like the typical narrow Hoka to me. He mentioned in the review about his big toe rubbing in the toebox.

The challenger seven comes in a wide
Any word on when these will be available?
Stinson's are freaking awesome for those with foot pain. It's sad they don't make them a bit wider. Hoka just can't seem to get the message. I would love to see a zero drop, wide toe box Hoka. They would crush Altra if they did. Altra can't get the quality correct and Hoka can't get the width perfectly correct!
Hi, i dont know wich stability shoe to get. Im very heavy and overpronate very much so that my ankles, shins and knee hurt. My feet are also wide. Asic gel kayano 29 in 2e was too narrow for me. I used insoles in the past for my flat feet. There are so many shoes out there and i dont have a store in my area where I can get advice or try some pairs. I played lots of basketball in the past and only wore basketball shoes for sports. I also go to the gym and do jump rope training. I hope to get some advice from you. Thanks
stinson 7 or challenger 7 for injuries ? I have tendonitis achilles tendon, plantar aponeurosis pain + heel, pains in the anterior shins and tendinitis of the peroniers Or they are the same ? I have the army soon
Need more color ways or a all black lethal one lol
Do you think these would suit me as someone who is looking for ”trail version” of arahi 6’s? I do need the support on inside of my feet due to pronation..

Definitely. Super stable and well cushioned

@@RyansRunningReviewsYT Thanks, I am really hoping that the fit is the same, as the Arahi 6’s are like made exactly for my feet.
There may be a problem where the tongue is sewed on. I don't torque the laces down , never have just take up the slack. I feel the ridge across the top of my foot that I am suspicious may cause a nasty rub. Previous versions of this shoe had a smooth transition , no sensation of a rub. I will give the shoe a crack breaking them in and going 50K or longer before jumping to any conclusion but I am concerned. Has anyone else noticed this?
Just picked mine up today, in contrast to many people, the toe box is wide for me.... feels like I could get an extra toe in there. Your mileage may vary.
Wow that’s a tank of a shoe eh!
Well its not bringing me back to Hoka, but an excellent review. Sounds like another dead outdated midsole from Hoka that lacks softness and bounce. Nothing new here, other than they are trying to pass it off as a shoe for everyone and every kind of running situation. Not fooling me and not spending $170 on another Hoka brick that will cause more blisters and pain from their baby sized toeboxes.

Shoes are such an individual decision. Everyone needs to find what works best for them. So, what seems like a brick to you has been my go-to shoe for 10 years. The sore hip issues I used to have are long-gone and the shoe suites my running style and body size and weight. I'm a trail ultra runner who plods through the 100 mile distance at between 21 and 28 hours depending on the course. Though the toe box could use some extra width, especially in extreme heat when swelling can be a real issue. Hopefully Hoka will offer the Stinson in a wide. Though I won't hold my breath. Find what works best for you and go with it. The Stinson has been around a long time, if people didn't like them, Hoka wouldn't make them. Cheers!

@@tedwilliamson3967 I know they have been around a long time, I bought five pairs of the very first Hoka Stinson XT Combo back in 2011 and have tried many Hokas since then. I am a trail runner too and I have now found better shoe options through trial and error. It was Hokas heaviest shoe last year and IMO there are now better choices if one is willing to try them, or just keep what works for you. I am just done with their toebox room, or lack of IMO.
Hoka has a good return policy. I’d want to give these a try!

I’d like to add I’m a 9 in Mafate speed 2s but in bondi 8s I can wear my true 8.5. 🤔wonder what size I’ll be in these
