New Growing Zone! Holiday decorations for the garden, free plants and more.

My Hardiness Zone has changed from 9b/10a to just plain 10a. Zones are determined by the most extreme low temperature in your area. Mine didn't change that much, but you might want to check to see if your Garden Hardiness Zone has changed at this USDA site. planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/

Finally, here's a link to the Solar Fairy Lights I got from Amazon. I love them because they turn on and off by themselves and they don't need electricity or batteries.

Thats going to be cute. If the lighting is good that would make a cute little post with the little lights.

Thanks. They're easy to grow, and very forgiving if I ignore them for you long!

@sfbaygardener1653 Have you ever grown snake plants. They have a few other names. Anyway, they're forgiving as well.

According to southern seed exchange, they reccommend borage and chamomile to repel the moths. And they also say peppermint , marigolds, and thyme might help.

Thanks, @esmysyield! I do have some chamomile that I could transplant into that raised bed. Think I'll try it. 😃

You probably won't have to start over with your collards. Leave the center leaves, remove some of the damaged leaves and the plant will grow new leaves. Give them a spray or cover them.

I believe you're right, Amarie. I'm starting to see some new growth already! Taking the covering off was definitely a bad idea on my part. You live and learn! 😊 Thanks for your advice.
