Friendly reminder to anyone here with crippling social anxiety, in about 6 months that you'd spend on a gym membership you could have plenty of new or gently used, portable (travel compatible) equipment to do it at home. 🤷🏻♀️ Idk why people are so obsessed w the gym

Hi...i wanna know which leg needs to feel your weights when you do static lounge..i am really confused especially when i do the reverse lounge

The leg that remains with your body should carry your weight. When doing static lunges (they are pretty much the same as reverse lunges), the front leg should be working and the back leg is support. Try the moves out and you'll see what feels natural. Your weight on the back leg will throw you off balance, that's incorrect.

Just my opinion... If you want to work the glutes, squeeze as you come up! If you want to work the thighs, don't squeeze lol!! Either way or her way, I feel you'll get results! I'm gonna squeeze for two weeks, then not squeeze for two weeks see if I see results from either, hey doesn't hurt to try lol!!🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hey Krissy! I've recently started the gym but I've been watching your videos for a while now and they are super helpful! However, my main concern with exercise is, how many different exercises do I need to do when I'm at the gym. I've never cared for upper body as I'm slim built I've just wanted to train lower body twice a week. But I see sooo many different lower body work out videos and exercises on YT that It confuses me on how many different exercises I need to do per session and how long should I continue to do the same exercises for before switching it up or can you continue to do the same exercises. Like for example if I did 5-6 different exercises per session with about 3-4 sets and a rep range or 10 8 6 or 12 10 8 6 would that be ok? Or is over 5 exercises too much

Hey there! That's pretty much exactly how I structure my own workouts. :) 5-6 exercises, 3-4 sets (3 sets if I'm working out both sides of my body at once, 4 sets if I'm doing one side and then the other). And my rep range falls between 8 and 15. That's all pretty standard. I take about 1 to 1.5 minute breaks in-between each set, and it comes out to an hour workout. I suggest focusing on the standard exercises (at least to start), like squats, lunges, hip thrusts, deadlifts. Try not to get overwhelmed by fancy variations of these, and just stick to the basics. :)

What does being slim built have to do with not training upper body? It's important to train those muscles too for strength and to protect bone density as you age...

I wish I saw videos like this when I first started, when I first went I followed an influencers routine (not her fault, I should have done more research) but I didn’t realize that it was set up for someone who has worked out before, so I over did it and did a full body workout and this is from someone who I barely really did any arm workouts at the time, or even a push up, the third day after I honestly could hardly move and it wasn’t the good kinda pain you get from working out, it was the worst feeling I almost felt like my arms and legs were going to fall off, like the circulation was damaged, it was horrible.

I agree when I first started over a year ago I had to use a TRX for squats because I had horrible balance and weak knees. A year ago I wouldn't have been able to do this. About 3 months into training this would have been feasible. I guess it depends on ones starting fitness level ❤️

Friendly reminder to anyone here with crippling social anxiety, in about 6 months that you'd spend on a gym membership you could have plenty of new or gently used, portable (travel compatible) equipment to do it at home. 🤷🏻♀️ Idk why people are so obsessed w the gym

Hi...i wanna know which leg needs to feel your weights when you do static lounge..i am really confused especially when i do the reverse lounge

The leg that remains with your body should carry your weight. When doing static lunges (they are pretty much the same as reverse lunges), the front leg should be working and the back leg is support. Try the moves out and you'll see what feels natural. Your weight on the back leg will throw you off balance, that's incorrect.

Hi Krissy..... I'm always confused as to squeeze my glutes at the top of a squat or not? Will I still train the glute/get desired results if I don't squeeze?

Just my opinion... If you want to work the glutes, squeeze as you come up! If you want to work the thighs, don't squeeze lol!! Either way or her way, I feel you'll get results! I'm gonna squeeze for two weeks, then not squeeze for two weeks see if I see results from either, hey doesn't hurt to try lol!!🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hey Krissy! I've recently started the gym but I've been watching your videos for a while now and they are super helpful! However, my main concern with exercise is, how many different exercises do I need to do when I'm at the gym. I've never cared for upper body as I'm slim built I've just wanted to train lower body twice a week. But I see sooo many different lower body work out videos and exercises on YT that It confuses me on how many different exercises I need to do per session and how long should I continue to do the same exercises for before switching it up or can you continue to do the same exercises. Like for example if I did 5-6 different exercises per session with about 3-4 sets and a rep range or 10 8 6 or 12 10 8 6 would that be ok? Or is over 5 exercises too much

Hey there! That's pretty much exactly how I structure my own workouts. :) 5-6 exercises, 3-4 sets (3 sets if I'm working out both sides of my body at once, 4 sets if I'm doing one side and then the other). And my rep range falls between 8 and 15. That's all pretty standard. I take about 1 to 1.5 minute breaks in-between each set, and it comes out to an hour workout. I suggest focusing on the standard exercises (at least to start), like squats, lunges, hip thrusts, deadlifts. Try not to get overwhelmed by fancy variations of these, and just stick to the basics. :)

What does being slim built have to do with not training upper body? It's important to train those muscles too for strength and to protect bone density as you age...

@@PlaceboEllie because I'm not interested in training upper body as I feel I dont need to? Lol. And that's my opinion. Maybe when I've had my next two children I'll consider training upper body but for now I dont think I need to. where as I want more gains in my bum and thighs.

I wish I saw videos like this when I first started, when I first went I followed an influencers routine (not her fault, I should have done more research) but I didn’t realize that it was set up for someone who has worked out before, so I over did it and did a full body workout and this is from someone who I barely really did any arm workouts at the time, or even a push up, the third day after I honestly could hardly move and it wasn’t the good kinda pain you get from working out, it was the worst feeling I almost felt like my arms and legs were going to fall off, like the circulation was damaged, it was horrible.

I agree when I first started over a year ago I had to use a TRX for squats because I had horrible balance and weak knees. A year ago I wouldn't have been able to do this. About 3 months into training this would have been feasible. I guess it depends on ones starting fitness level ❤️
