I wish they would do more to compete on pricing with their semihollow guitars. The epic phones truly aren’t up to snuff and you have to do enough work on them that if Gibson could put out a semi hollow guitar for around 16 or 1700 maybe even 1999 I still think they would be better than where they are at $3000 and that’s for the satin model. I just think they’re slightly overpriced at least for my students they are. I have a lot of jazz students that are saving their pennies every day to get that 335 or a heritage which is what I actually prefer myself by the heritage and put the pick up she want in it but either way I do hope they do more on the semi Hollow side. Thanks for the great demo and I do love that figured but truly, I have always thought the studios were a better buy, and I personally use them myself, just the Gibson less Paul studio standards. I rewire them and put the pick up I want in change out the tuners not and put them to work and they are great gig machines and that way I don’t have to take the guitars. I love the most out and have them stolen or destroyed. I’ve just found that when I spend eight or 10 grand on a guitar I’ll show it off occasionally but I’m a gigging musician man when I buy a $10,000 guitar I worked hard for it just like everyone else Either way and I think these offers some great alternatives too and I can understand it but it’s not worth it just for the figuring alone that’s a beautiful guitar. The colors are nice but truly the studio again rules. Thanks. 6:59

Is it me, or are the Epiphone LP Modern Figured guitars nicer looking? At that price point, I’m just not seeing how a flame top and some binding makes the price jump. I mean, if you don’t like figured tops, you can get the regular LP Modern. Cause they really are incredible even if you spring for the figured - you won’t get a full maple cap, but honestly, they sound so good that the difference is negligible to the Gibson counterparts. Btw, did anyone notice the price went up for the Epiphone Modern? It used to be $50 less than the Epiphone Modern Figured one. Now they are both $699 (without a discount) on Sweetwater. When did that happen?!

In 2016, i bought a gibson les paul studio white with chrome hardware for as low as 888 euros here in europe. Killer guitar. For 2000+ euros-dollars, i would rather pick a standard or a classic. I do not understand the hype about these new prices. Just my opinion😅

Yep, which is basically the same specs as the LP Modern with a much higher price tag. There didn’t even give it one of those Axess neck joints, lol.

@@MashaT22 I already have a Gibson LP with these features though, I just liked the colour of the supreme and they have given it the modern neck heel and locking tuners etc

Are Gibson new Les Paul Lite Carved top...
@ernestschultz50659 ай бұрын
do those LP custom lites have a carved maple tops or are they slabs like the LP specials?

From the picture, the Lite does not look like a carved top. Looks like a slab. That kinda sucks, but the price point for this Gibson Lite makes sense from what we know - but that’s why Dave is cautiously reserving full judgment for when more info is released.

let me guess, guitars in this new collection will cost twice as much as Moderns from couple years ago?
@darkestfugue7 ай бұрын
i would probably go for the studio, its nice, the flame top moderns are too expensive and the colours are goofy, about a faded lemon burst? too much to ask? and those lite colours are gross, but thats just hypothetical, a les paul modern should come with ss frets, i only buy guitars with ss frets, should be an industry standard at this point

Gibson has not been kind to my pockets lol. That being said I own a Gibson CS R8, Les Paul Special in TV Yellow and a Gibson ES-345 are all fantastic guitars for different reasons. Yes, they are expensive but if I have to pay more to get what I want, I will when I'm able to. I would have to try the new modern studio line to have an opinion but I think I'm more into saving up for The New Les Paul Supreme. $4000 ouch though.

Good price? 1600 Euro is pretty steep for a basic guitar like this
