They did a nice job with Georgia. Starting in that region has always been notoriously difficult and they gave some nice missions to help make it more rewarding. Honestly, this whole DLC has just been a "yeah this nation sucks to start/play lets buff them"

I’m currently doing my Byzantium one faith world conquest as orthodox, but next country on my choping board is Georgia, especially that I’ve never tried it in vanilla. This DLC is awesome

You could take the first mission before accepting the event that gave you -20 legitimacy.

I have the same problem as you regarding the disaster event. I even have over 90 legitimacy, but i cannot earn the bonuses. A bug so early in the game, that's a real paradox dlc there xD

20:38 Technicly using trust to vassalize can be applied in Eu4 but if it's like this mission i would have probably use the trust mechanic more often haha.

The number of times ive snagged a vassal by pushing to 100 trust is way too many. Honestly, favors system is very strong and people just forget to use it :( I love abusing return core on a big ally with lots of cores of a vassal like provence on france, they dont even get mad at you either XD

You're very lucky that Great Horde and Shirvan declared on your target while you were fighting them, yes it resulted in an expensive situation for you, hiring a lot of mercs, but it also meant you could deal with a weak Great Horde early (the only thing scary about them before 1454 is their numbers, 20 units - woopie...) due to an early event. Meanwhile Shirvan always allies QQ and Ajam making it impossible to take their land and hard locking your mission tree for half a century. In my game I was lucky and got good generals with good siege, no one attacked Circassia so I vassalized them; Unfortunately no one attacked my next target either, which meant I couldn't take Shirvan or Great Horde early, also Mamluks didn't want to be my friend either, which means I faced a historically accurate situation. Under the circumstances I faced, basically the game wants you to ally Muscovy then you both gang up on Great Horde, split them between you both then rely on them and their 20 cav units they send you to take on QQ and Shirvan (while also protecting you from Ottomans). You also need to vassalise Treb as soon as possible, or Ottomans will go for them, drag you into the war then focus you and stomp you hard, because AI always focuses the player in wars you're involved in. The gamer strat would be to ally the Commonwealth and then rival Muscovy to get a union CV so you can personal union Muscovy, resulting when they form Russia to not be angry you hold territory they get claims on later. But in most scenarios that wouldn't be achievable, you need an early scary ally to survive and Muscovy are the only scary local who are willing to be your friend out the gate. Unfortunately, again, in King of Kings Muscovy is weak and gets stomped by the Commonwealth consistently. (they get the time of troubles event as AI - problem is since Dominion, rebels and instability absolutely wrecks AI now, so soon as time of troubles happens, Commonwealth takes the territory which prevents them forming Russia because of the new Dominion perma claims they got - surely this has nothing to do with Paradox's hate bon...) Poland is very strong, has been since Dominion (also Ming has basically been exploding every single game I've played since the Dominion update, still does in King of Kings, the devs overdid their negatives, their AI has no idea how to deal with it, their intent was for Ming to explode by 1560 and for the Quin to show up, but it never happens because dumb A.I and Ming always explodes by 1480 instead of by 1560 when it should). Mamluks also now get stomped on by Ottomans every single game too and now instead of taking their lands, the Ottomans form an autonomous region vassal out of them, immediately taking all their lands if they take more than 30% of their territory, so it is a bad idea to ally them; Also, Timurids do not make a surprise comeback, they do attempt their historic invasion into India before they go poof but also get stomped on by Deli after their vassals go independent, meaning they do not form Mughals. I've also noticed that Sultanates in India are now super strong and constantly invade everyone around them. Again, this update only demonstrates the developers still don't know how to fix an AI that has barely been touched in years; for the record, if you build super baked mega pimped out Forts they are only good at holding back the AI until 1560, after that the AI tends to build giant death stacks with %*#* off 40+ unit often with 12+ cannons because it is coded to match siege profiles just to go for your forts, reducing their super expensive wall of attrition down to having the same siege profile as a regular cheap fort, which makes the Persian and Georgian Fort line buffs equally pointless, all it does is encourage Ottomans or whoever is powerful in India to build death stacks of cannons. BTW you need to restart if Cass asks for tributary status, which basically screws you over. Also restart if you get Diet with demands which cost mana or diplo, you want a diet outcome which doesn't conflict with your planned strat. Same with your ruler, if you get a ruler with horribad passives, restart. Basically, Georgia even with the new mission tree is subject to RNG BS.

blunt play you got very behind of time on tech tree and also crippling debts will hit hard once your ruler dies, possibly ending up in bancruptcy and full scale ottoman invasion. Needless to say AI allies will never come to help if you're bankrupt. With this manpower reserves and amount a few castles you will be obliterated around 1500

I play on normal and ironman, i actually show quite a lot of what's happening to clear any doubts and all of my runs go similar direction because that's just my playstyle to play risky and on the edge, but you can believe whatever you want of course

It can be divided by two parts, 1st is where you defeat golden horde and everything else goes to the second part. Tgats not how this game works. Where's aggressive expansion mamagment? Can Georgia complete the missions even as a junior partner of Russia? Because Russia can have a option to make any Caucasian country a historical friend through the mission tree (if You decided to befriend a Caucasian country rather than conquering it)

I know it's very dependent on RNG, but I think You have the tools, time & luck needed to get this PU as Russia. Besides, You can already obtain a "historical friendship" between Russia & Georgia from one of the Russian missions instead of a... Vassalage proposal
