There is a theory that the new dark blue is not R2 but in fact SK-620. SK on the Starcruiser has pretty much the same voice set as R2, but as we know each chip matches a different droid.

It might also be r4-p17 (obi wans droid) which also happens to be my favorite droid. I even made a R4 at galaxy's edge.

I recognize a few of the Navy sounds! They sound like they're from the Electronic Alert R2-D2 from attack of the clones.

Great vid! One thing about this chip is that it also features the R2 SCREAM, which for some reason he never gave you one on this vid, lol, but it's there!

Navy sounds like a way to get R2 to respond in park as a scoundrel and also as a way to throw the R2 sass into a BB unit…

I've had a theory since your last chip review video that they're putting out chips that sound like a basic BB, C series, or R unit droid partially due to the release of the C series parts. This way if you want to build a droid with a C series body and an R unit head, you can keep the droid sounding like an R unit instead of the default C series, and vice versa. Because the default sound is determined by the body and not the head right?

This doesn't necessarily hold up with the BB units cuz you can't swap parts with those but still lol

I have actually not noticed any "new" sounds on the blue chip. I really like that navy chip though. It's so cool to see how far the droid depot has come since the land opened.

The Navy one is my favorite so far!!!!! I want a droid so bad!!!!!!! I'm glad I found a personality chip I like so when I eventually do get one I can get at least this Navy one!

On October 21st, I joined your Droid building team. I got my first R2 custom Droid made at Walt Disney World. I bought the blue Resistance chip. My wife doesn't know yet but I sent home an R2-D2 in the box. Glad I saw your review Dan...I might be getting the Navy Scoundrel chip now. I was wondering what R2-D2 needed. Plus, did you see on Shop Disney that they have a 50th anniversary Droid? I am going to have a small army before it's done. 😆

I actually did know they stacked like that, but thats because I work there and it makes it easier to stock them :p

Built my first droid in early May 2022 at WDW and they had no Chopper droids in stock, hadn’t added the C series droids to the build line up, no steel R series heads, and no purple chips. Then saw your video about all the changes and felt cheated somehow. Fortunately, I found someone selling a metal head on the flea bay and feel a bit better. Still, would have built a C series had it been available. C’est la vie.

What annoys me. I'm from Canada, and getting down there is.... a pain. The fact that I just bought the R2-D2 anniversary edition, and literally all the accessories I could find, but they didnt tell me about the personality chips (or I would have bought them too). I cant find where to buy these online. Argh!

The Navy Scoundrel chip featured in this video. I don't think the scream was part of this edit. But it's definitely this chip that has it. The other Blue Resistance chips sound way different.

I was at Galaxy's Edge Disneyland literally last Tuesday, and built my own droid. You are literally holding the droid I wanted to build! In my excitement I accidentally grabbed the blue C unit body. Disney was nice enough to let me exchange bodies, but unfortunately they didn't have any blue R unit bodies. Only black, white and red. But I REALLY wanted the blue body, so I decided to live with it. But if I could find a blue body with white panels for sale, I'd buy it! So if anyone has one, hit me up! I also got the navy chip as part of my bundle, and I'm glad I did, since I got the C body it sounds like Chopper by default, so with the chip it sounds more like R2, which is what I wanted.

Wait. Does that say 2015 blue personality chip? lol

@Michael, the experience is a really amazing. I would highly recommend it. You get in there and pick out your Droid and its parts. Walk it around the Galaxys Edge. Bring it home and you have a memory for a life time. I am an Original trilogy kid (5 years old) and the experience was all that I wanted and hoped for.

Fuck all that, I have 0 free time. It's called not sleeping. I work a full time job, Have youtube as a side hustle, and 2 other small business I manage, with a wife, kids, and 2 dogs who all need attention too. I'm dying young so you all can get this information.
