    Delivery time here in Germany up to 12 month due to massive delivery problems (Sync 4 is build in the Ucraine) etc.

    I hate there are no physical buttons, especially AC is a must because you have lots of interaction with these functions. For me a dealbreaker. Like the bigger screen, but to many digital controls. Exterior and interior are much better and more refined, thats a big plus. I find it weird though why there isn't a hard top cover above the engine, this makes it much more premium and the internal cables don't get dirty, also greased parts will last longer and require less maintenance.

    They should've given the actual ST the gloss black grill and the ST-Line the matte black one. Looks much better in gloss black in my opinion, same with the outgoing model. Sucks when the actual thing looks better than the lesser trim level.

    Auch wenn ich immer noch physische Taster und Drehknöpfe bevorzuge, wenn sie wie hier am Sync4 so gut sichtbar und vor allem erreichbar sind, ist dies klar besser als im bisherigen Focus, wo gerade einige Taster für die Heizungsregelung und Scheiben/Sitzheizungen zu tief lagen und immer einen nötigten, den Blick von der Straße zu nehemen.

    How come the rotary dial has gone on the automatic here and it’s a stick for automatic. Hope they haven’t gone backwards on that design?

    I believe this depends on country, in the UK I spoke to Ford and was assured it’s rotary (for ST line at least)

    @@lozza871 oh ok. Hope so. Maybe it’s a stick auto because it’s a hybrid maybe and not diesel or 8 speed powershift. Rotaries look aesthetically better.

    The rotary will come only with 8-speed A8 transmissions. 7-speed A7 will be with stick.

    @@JuliusKapiainen that’s a shame. Don’t know what all auto models have rotary dial. Aesthetic wise looks better and easier to control.

    How different opinions can be. I drove a lot of Fords Automatik over decades now with shifter stick, even only to select in most cases D, P and R and use the paddels if present for shifting support. The last two Fords I drove or I actually drive, the previous Focus and the actual Kuga now were/is equipped with the dial knob. OK, this looks „cleaner“ but the intuitiv use of the shifter is more internalized. My Mercedes SLC has a small Joystick-shifter too, only for two things, pull for D and push soft/short for N or with more force and til stop for R. And also I prefer this more. Finally ir seems correct the dial is for the 8 speed planet gear transmission only for the diesel and the shifter for the new implemented 7 speed DCT on the petrol engines.

    that lever are bulky and old. way better to have buttons or the small wheel of previous years.

    official spec list says ST-Line Vignale, I believe it's the new option with facelift model

    hello so here is what I found in official press map for this car: "Expanded availability of the Vignale pack in addition to X pack for new Focus introduces ultimate luxury specification for Titanium, ST-Line and Active models. Alongside enhanced equipment levels and interior finishes, Vignale specification introduces satin finishes to the upper grille and side vents in place of a body colour finish, and exclusive alloy wheel designs. The new Focus benefits from five new alloy wheel designs across the range." So looks like it's got more packages now

    @@crospotter13 hey man, can you link some website to get more infos? I’m getting kinda lost in all the different packages and since I already ordered the st-line X I was curious to know the differences between the X and the vignale package for the st-line

    So it sounds like Ford have retired the “x” for the new models and instead replaced it with the vignale. So whereas previously the top range focus st line was the st line x, now it’s the st line vignale
