I honestly love Crumbs art style. The thick lines, the way it’s always moving slightly, the general look of the art and just the use of colors, it always seems to calm me and make me happy. I strive to be an animator like Crumb.

Even if crumb forgot what the original meaning was, here's my personal opinion on what it means. In the first few seconds we see them sitting in the room of boxes, the boxes in my opinion represent people that they used to know. I'll explain this a little later but know that for now. In the next scene, we see them looking in different directions, possibly looking at those other people before their death or their disconnect to them. In the next scene, we see them staring at a screen, showing that they have lost everything and have no where to go to besides online forums and videos, trying to find something to pass the time away replacing that feeling they had with the ones they cared about. Their head then disappearing to visualize that feeling of emptiness. In the scene after, we then see the other 3 characters doing a greeting gesture to then fade away, with only them remaining. Showing again, how after all the time, they're the only one left in the end. The next scene, showing the denial of their death. Not wanting to accept the fact that they're all gone. Not wanting the things that they so desired to be truly gone forever. Then, in the next scene we see them crying, the crying done to cope with the tragedy of loss. With the bunch of people she used to know, gone. Flashing before their eyes. Then, in the final scene, they sits hopeless. Looking around at the people, the memories, and what once was. The feeling of emptiness without the ones we hold dear, then, the mask of their friends going over her face in the final few frames to show that she will meet the same fate as the rest of them. Knowing this, they do nothing. With the final stage, they're finally at : Acceptance. Hope you end up reading this Crumb and want to see your thoughts on my opinion of what I think it is! This feels like the realization at just how lonely you are + a panic attack at the distortion bit + a little bit of a identity crisis mixed into the pot. I absolutely love it with all my heart.

That sort of sparking effect around 0:57 really speaks to me, it’s like the emotions within you are too much for your body to contain.

This is the first cuptoast animation that I'm going to be able to watch live and I can't wait! I only recently discovered these animations and I'm blown away by how good they are!

tbh i think the meaning is the pain of growth and being stressed out with problems you never understood as a kid and understanding them to well as an adult. I think near the end it's like them looking back at somebody and feeling ashamed for being themselves and just hiding away and bottling issues.

Crumb's animations always amaze me, whether it be I find them personal or I find them wholesome or incredibly well done. I just love the little detail of how perfectly this loops, even if it has no intended meaning, it allows for lots of room of interpretation on what it could mean, like you can add your own story to it of sorts! Great job as always!

I think this animation + the song is a feeling we've all felt but can't describe very well. Its a feeling of like emotional toil throughout the phases of life, and it always feels so specific in the moment of feeling it. But as soon as the feelings gone, the memory of it goes with it, and you're left with this weird feeling in the pit of your stomach... At least that's what it looks like to me! I love this style so much i wanna cry 😭
