I am happy they added them at all especially for something small like a mobile release, but I hope they have also helped fix issues with the battles like 2 handed units being too delayed, pikes needing too much micromanagement, and that weird gunpowder unit glitch where they mess up when the front units move behind the rest after firing. For other campaign features I would like if they added an option for 1 turn per year instead of that nonsensical 2 years per turn where your generals age only 1, having actual titles in the campaign like in Med 1, and maybe try adding in features from kingdoms like culture, religious requirements for certain units, converting to another faith, forming new nations, and permeant stone forts you can build on certain parts of the map.

Another thing I hope they did was make changes to the merchants to make them more like they are in Rome Remastered since I actually liked the way Feral made Merchants there and hoped they would add those changes to the ones in Med 2 in either the mobile or Remaster.

Some people are mixed on the mobile released but I abolsutley loved Rome on mobile since I can’t run remastered. The new features are super helpful with QoL and makes the game far easier. I’m really looking forward to the Medieval 2 release!

These changes make me wish they’ll patch medieval 2 (2006) or make a remaster

All these things are awesome but honestly they could just release medieval 2 as it is with no limit for mods and I would be happy, imagine third age, call of warhammer, the elder scrolls, warcraft... with no limit to factions, units and settlements, it would be perfect.

@@PoorManatee6197 Rome isn't visually appealing as Med 2 imo, obviously med 2 is a later release so that's why. but I can imagine them not doing so because the mods that came from med 2 are incredible, just look at Third age DaC. I literally forget that it's a mod sometimes and genuiely feels like a proper LOTR Total war game.

oh shit guilds explained that's definitely useful. I used to use a simple 4 step guide and it worked pretty well 1. Start Campaign 2. Crush the French 3. ???????? 4. Guild profit

Yes looking forward to that myself..it was in the original Medieval..I was disappointed they removed it for Med 2, but when playing Stainless Steel mod there was a sub mod that allowed you to choose your Heir..it was a bit fiddly but made such a difference to your campaign.

@@martynhulland6252 One thing that really annoyed me was that often times it wasn’t even the right heir. Your king became king before he had sons or sons who had reached the age of sixteen, so your brother or uncle or some in-law became heir, and the only way to change it was to kill the character.

I've been playing Medieval II Mobile for some time now and love it. It's had some issues over time but they are taken care of within a good amount of time overall in my experience, with only one so far making the game essentially unplayable for about a month. There are more updates and systems added too, as you have said which is awesome. New graphical elements and ones I'd never seen in the original game are just cherries on top. Really great port of an incredible classic.

1. Pause between turns is painfully long on my POCO X3 NFC. Any way to make game faster? 2. Any other way to enter MENU other than 3 FINGER SWIPE, because that's how my phone is making a screenshot?

For number 2, hold 2 of your finger then swipe with 1 other finger. It won't trigger the screenshot feature.

I been playing. But why I only get 2-3 slots to train troops. And why I retrain, I can only retrain 2-3 slots at the time. I am used to Rome instant one turn retrain system. I am missing something here?

Med 2 only allows you to retrain x amount of troops per turn. The number depends on what buildings you have. Upgraded castles have more slots than villages, for example. But, you can also recruit more per turn. If you have 3 slots for units, then you can recruit 3 units in a turn, rather than Rome TW's 1 unit per turn.

Will it be possible to get mods like westrose total war on mobile?

I can easily run this on my phone but would never dare disrespect the game like that.

This game for your smartphones or tablets will be the gauge, along with the Steam copies sold. Whether the future Med 3 will have the similar faction variety and naming conventions as Rome 2 or not is up for the flood of replies and banters.

Only Melkor can make watching sponsored content a good time :) But seriously though, my favorite new feature for the mobile is the ability to pick your heir. I agree with your point Melkor that it IS realistic to be able to choose, and would add another layer of immersion to the game.

It was the mobile version that funded the Rome Remaster. I agree PC is better and needed, I only own a simple flip-phone so I certainly don't care for them, but removing mobile games won't create that.
