At the moment my set up is a BBS Deathwish Jake Hayes 8.25 on Indy 149 highs (stock bushings, king pin nuts flush) with 56mm 104a bones wheels & Bronson G3 dry with no shields.

Slightly bigger trucks than board, 8.75 for 8.5 to 8.6 or 8.5 for 8.3 (my street setup that I have not used in ages have ace classic 44 on a 8 deck). 56mm or 54mm wheels, spitfire f4. Turny trucks, ace or indys at the moment. Full black griptape. Bearings spitfire burners or bronson G3. P.S. as I have been infected by several madness, my trucks and wheels may change in the close future. My kingpins will very very soon.

I go back in forth between my giant 9.75 and my smaller 8.45 Life boards and my Zero 8.25. 8.25 with Indy trucks and some smaller 54mm Bones. My other boards have 57mm and was 56mm but now idk what. I use Ace for my Life boards.

I ride mostly small park features on an 8.5 Hopps Board, ace af1 44, spitfire 53 mm 103 hardness, Bronson bearings. For bigger parks I size up the trucks.

Have a Gonz 9.81 159’s and 54 & 57mm Oj Nomads - for how wide it is up front it tapers down to the tail giving it feel and control. I also have a Flip Lance Mountain 9.0 with same wheels and trucks. I do use 1/8 bones risers and they don’t bother me and no wheel bite on loose trucks. Both have a steep nose and a mellow tailI. I like going back and forth between the two.
Zach, your bowl skating has been getting so much better.
I just watched your videos on learning inverts, it's cool to see you talk so casually about them now!
I really appreciate your videos. Thanks so much!
Great sesh my dude!!!! My new set up is a 8.38 Black Label Omar Hassan "Black Funeral" with 159 hollows with indy soft bushing, 56mm Bone Ripper wheels side cut 104a. I have two more full set ups, 8.25 Welcome Owl/skull deck with 54 mm green vomit wheels , black indy Mason Silva 159's standard trucks: Black label " Give Blood" 9.25, 169's indy hollows, 60mm cab wheels side cut 104a....YOu Rule! Love from the Oregon coast!
Nice smooth well rounded sesh. Like the new setup. Always liked Polar. My setup = Nora wicked queen, independent 8s in 159, spitfire big head 58’ 99a with reds or welcome pugs 85a with Bronson g2 oj juice bars and custom grip job. I’ve been checking out some of those boards you mentioned that broke off of welcome so maybe something in an upper 8 or9 and long wheel base and maybe Powell bombers might be a good happy medium for like ditches and old pools. Definitely wanna try some aces out too
Hey Zack ! I have that exact same board and I love it. Mine is 8.75 with wheel wells. Skating it now for about 3 weeks, with Indy 159's Forged Titaniums, bones med. bushings and bones Reyes 54mm and Mob griptape. Indy gold hardware. I hope to see a follow up review of your thoughts on the board after 1 month of you thrashin it. Peace. Keep up the good content.
Nice. I got the Shin Sangboni version of that board for my transition setup. I have never ridden such big wheels before but with the wells I felt like i could try some 56mm conical wheels. I am flying thru the park so fast now lol

Fast and more clearance! Sounds fun.
lol im using the shin sambongi with wheel wells too but i kept my riser pads. Im like used to have them so didnt want to change the setup, idk. Next is a herrington 1991 shape deck, quite liked the sambongi so ill keep polar for the next setup.
8.75 jnr surf Shape polar deck with Wells....the bomb !!!
Andy Anderson 9.13 flight deck from Powell, mini logo 8.75 trucks with 94a bushings, 56mm 99a spitfire Conicals (not the fulls), qtr inch risers, and Powell deck rails (using old school sex nutz). 60 year old pandemic skater, mostly transition under 6ft...

Due to my case of kingping madness I was waiting for the explanation about the trucks, not only brand and size but bushing durometer brand shape and other alterations. P.S. I really dig the music in your videos,

Are you looking for a lower kingpin for more clearance? I tended to back off my truck madness lately haha

@@ZackDowdy After a very long recovery from a teared ankle ligament I need to bring my smiths and feebles back, but without hurting myself again. Kingpin clearance forever.
i think you would like the heroin eggs w cut outs very similar to this
Love the bottom graphic, Zack !
Hey man. I always love ur content i like to ride transition to but because of pandemic in my country i have lost my job, so i have to sell my board. I love to have u broken board so i can skate again 🙏

What do you think of it (if it's already set up and rolling)?

@@iosoi3145 it’s big but I started skating in the early 90s, when boards were big. It’s fun !
Why not rep the homies/local grip? You made sure not to have the “H” for house show
Polar decks are attention to details
Welcome board are absolute trash
