Love it. People complaining about size forget about the fact that’s it’s smallest and most fun IN CLASS. Sure, it’s “bigger” then the previous countryman’s. But like…. Yeah and no. Sure it’s a bit bigger but still small when compared to the SUV craze in the US. Glad they are redesigning. Both look beautiful.

I’m really hoping the petrol minis look way more aggressive and cooler looking 😞

Overall i like them but the cloth dash and gold metal for door handles/speakers is awful. Im hoping they keep it Mini when it comes to customization. I need a simple monochromatic interior Mini!

I want to see how the HVAC controls work. I think the new Countryman might be too big for us now, but that means the Aceman probably. just waiting for more info.

I've said it before and will say it again - I'd wait for the post LCI on the 2 door - the Countryman might be an option for us in that generation - I have another JCW (this time a F56) on order - we'll be "fully stocked" for a while yet but when it comes time to replace our R60 S All4 I'd _consider_ the 2025 but would have to be in ICE form the EV is a no-go for us unless the range is more than 300 miles AND charging infrastructure gets better here in the US.

Yep!

New designs tend to get a lot of initial "hate" - then purists begin to soften a bit over time and for those on the fence the new looks tend to grow on them (like a fungus). What MINI got right for the 2 door is the interior (dash specifically) and the black belt line. I'd have to agree that all the "circles" in the R and F chassis is starting to look a bit too dated and we did escape the (very) sharp / angular design language of other manufacturers (even though BMW adopted a lot of it). I feel like an old boomer saying "Don't mess with my Cadillac!!!" and believe that if MINI would at least tease an ICE JCW with aggressive / sinister looks with more than 260 HP most people would overlook the rear-end - as long as they don't pull a Subaru WRX and change the looks with no real increase in power....

Countryman gets tail lights that look (more or less) like a Union Jack, hardtop doesn't. Countryman gets two proper driver side air vents; hardtop, nope. CM gets a real armrest; stupid "attached to seat" armrest for the hardtop. 🙄 The seats in the hardtop look nice but look like leather...I thought they were ditching leather. 🤨

It's a new more refined synthetic leather.

Don't like the designs at all except the tail lights! I especially don't like the shape of the front ends. But I am interested in how they drive!

I assume these new models will apply to petrol versions as well? I like the external body designs, but, and this a big BUT the interior is horrible! The seats are fine, but interior lining is dreadful. A big round LCD display in the centre of the dash, with no display behind the steering wheel, I do NOT like, although It looks like the HUD is still there? The dashboard is horrible! Do away with the big round display altogether! I was seriously thinking of ordering a new Mini next year, but the interior lining and dashboard would put me off. Probably go for a Audi A1, a VW Polo or Golf instead. A shame!

There is still a HUD. I think wait until you see it in person to decide. It might surprise you

It's not too big. It's a bigger vehicle, which is how it's supposed to be. That is the reason why I bought one.
