I think poise generation speed means how fast hyper armor kicks in with an attack so for Bloody Slash as example, it will take longer till hyper armor activates when you start the attack.

They definitely meant to say decrease crouch attack speed of serpent hunter. As a pvper who sees this weapon everyday the crouch attack you showed is slower and it is now in line with UGS Edit: also im kinda salty they nerfed thundercloud form. It was going to be my dlc weapon. Whats crazier is that they think stance break on thundercloud form is too op by the ordovis greatsword isn’t? Kinda crazy tbh. You can literally get more stance damage and actually damage spamming square off for less fp then thundercloud form now.

Offense perfumes need a charge attack like the long distance ones the enemies use and such. A great idea with perfumes , but they never went anywhere with it..... They buffed all whips except Urumi FWIW.... Whips need a strangle Crit/backstab animation.

Poise generation speed (i think) is how soon you get the hyperarmor, so all those skills will be easier to interrupt at the beginning but have the same amount of hyperarmor once its active

Poise generation speed means the speed at which you gain poise by doing that skill, so you don't have the full hyper armor right off the bat. It does not mean less stagger potential, they would categorize that as reduced poise damage.

The inventory additions are in the game, you need to enable them in the options menu THIS IS WHY YOU READ TUTORIAL POP-UPS

The thing about dex scaling was probably mistranslated, seems like the japanese version is talking about quality infusion instead.

I think poise generation speed is how quickly the hyper armor kicks in. So you can now get staggered out of the ash of war if you're hit early in the animation

“Poise generation speed” is how FAST you get your hyper armor during certain skills. So some hyper armor is on the first frame, some skills don’t get hyper armor until the actual attack comes out, etc. Poise generation speed changes the timing basucally

The GO seal got a small buff, at least looking at the 43 int/faith setup, it had 330 before the patch, now 338

Can we push fromsoftware to release a boss rush and make Elden Ring perfect? They already fixed the logo screen and the elden beast fight, a boss rush is the only thing missing now really

Fairly certain "decreased poise generation speed" means the extra poise (how difficult you are to stagger out of an attack) you get from those ashes of war now takes longer to activate, meaning youll be more likely to be staggered out of them.

Poise generation speed 14+ poise/s per second after not dealing damage for 6-8 seconds. "Decreased the poise generation speed" probability means it reduces the amount out of poise a combatant can regenerate

Poise Generation Speed = delay from when you press attack to when hyperarmor activates

I think this fixed bug about unexpected behaviors when using incantations in quick sucession is something that I had discovered a while ago: using Theodorix's Magma directly after using Dragonclaw or Black Blade had you casting Theodorix with the animation of these other spells. I don't know if there were more bugs like that, and it only worked with Radagon Icon's equipped

just tested the Dragon Communion Seal at the highest possible level (99 arcane and faith) its still 415 no change at all

Powerstance twinblades are probably better now. They both got big hits. No knockdown for blasphemous blade, and you have to get close with Dark Moon now. Jelly fish is also a part of the dark moon build, so it got 5% worse.

Quite many bosses didn't get knocked down by Taker's Flame anyway and the skill didn't stance break bosses that often even before the nerf. Malenia cheese is definitely much weaker now since she got easily knocked down from Taker's Flame. Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised if DLC has the strongest weapons.

@@Ylikollikas the knockdown is mostly useful against Mobs its true. It is probably still close to as good against bosses. Dark moon greatsword might be worse than it now for bosses though.

I read the increased stamina consumption when guarding against attacks of all the great weapons as the shield user would take bigger stamina damge when trying to block these not when blocking with those weapons

These are some serious nerfs to some weapons

They nerfed the base game broken weapons cuz they want you to start using dlc broken weapons

Maybe the flail charge attack got a big damage buff to make up for being so slow 🤔

Very disappointed with some of these nerfs mostly for the pve side of things it’s annoying that certain weapons get nerfed because of pvp and that usually leads to them being useless against the pve enemies

Pretty sure “poise generation speed” means how many frames until the bonus poise/hyperarmor you get from using the skill comes out

My guess on 'poise generation speed' is that it's the time until maximum hyperarmour, so decreased poise generation speed means it takes longer for the hyperarmour to kick in

These actually make sense though, nerfing weapons so that instead of having to make all the dlc bosses roided up to account for op ash of war spam from base game stuff

​@@alexberube5269The problem is. Most of these changes are boring. The weapons went from being a bit too good. To outright bad in some cases. More of the changes should have been like DMGS, where there was a buff to compensate. Or be like.... I think SF4 Ryu? Where his Heavy Shoryuken got nerfed to have no invincibility frames. But the high damage was kept. This way, players still had a VERY powerful hard read option. But had to think when to use it. But.... Most of the weapons got nerfed into oblivion. And thus, the cycle continues.... More cheese strats will be found, squashed, repeat rinse until all the weapons are weak. (And yet, there's STILL an objective best build.)

I believe it is only in the later new game + iterations that the enemy scaling really ramps up. NG+ might be the best way to play, because you will be higher level, and get more talismans, and weapons from base game. Like you can now using dual scavengers curved sword for example.

I did that with bloodborne's dlc, it was the hardest thing I have ever experienced in a fromsoft game. But it was fun

Poise generates after not being hit for a certain time. So when you have 70 poise and get hit with an attack, that does 60 poise dmg, when you generate your poise back, during using those skills, the regeneration speed is reduced(?)

I could be wrong but “poise generation speed” probably means how it takes you to recover poise

Wow. All our favorite weapons got scuffed and kicked. I guess I can see what FS was after; they made the worst weapons and skills a little better, and made the best worse, but it still hurts. We'll just have to see how this all works out. I pray to Michael Zaki this makes the game better, not worse.

From what I understand, they made the late scaling a bit better for it so you'll see big gains on high Int and Faith stats. Given what Youwy said about Golden Order seal, they might have made the late scaling better on all dual catalysts so actually dedicated Int/Faith (or other dual stat catalyst user) builds will probably use Dual Catalysts much better than users that are less dedicated.

Poise generation speed is the Hyper armor of the weapons. It’s increasing when the hyper armor starts up.

So the weapons damage were only in pvp right? Thank god

maybe because they are op so they nerf so you dont rely on them in the dlc as much as before but you can use them fine still
