TLDW, here are the Broken Tier Weapons: Straight Sword - Sword of Night and Flame 27:43 Greatsword - Blasphemous Blade 42:12, Dark Moon Greatsword 44:12, Death's Poker 41:28 Colossal Swords - Greatsword 49:22 Curved Swords - Wing of Astel 1:18:29, Bandit's Curved Sword 1:11:25 Curved Greatswords - Bloodhound's Fang 1:24:50 Katana - Nagakiba 1:32:53 Spears - Bolt of Gransax 3:03:32 Great Spears - Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear 3:11:24 Fists - Star Fist 3:35:59 Claws - Raptor Talons 3:41:50 (moved to the broken tier at the end of the video) The easiest ones to get from this list are the Greatsword (quickly loot a guarded carriage before dying by those TRex Dogs in Caelid), Bloodhound's Fang (South Limgrave Boss), Bandit's Curved Sword (farm skeletons at the Church of Pilgrimage in Weeping Peninsula), and Nagakiba (easy if you kill Yura (NPC) in Limgrave instead of doing their quests).

100% agree with the Glintstone Kris being the best dagger. It’s basically like carrying a mini bazooka. Imagine being able to unleash the comet spell, with only 10 FP required to do so. That is absolutely nuts.

Reduvia and glintstone Kris are both great options. Reduvia is a really good option for RL1 and it synergizes with ritual sword. The problem with glintstone Kris is that you can't chain cast the AOW, although that would probably be too OP

​@@desantinotafrancesco2639 In the early game reduvia is better, but You can buff a lot the glinstone Kris, and when I say a lot is that I see people doing like 3k with the Ash of war, I think that is the most eficient weapon in terms damage/mana, I really don't know why it's in S and not in broken

The funny thing is, st trina's sword scales off of Intelligence, but sleep scales off of arcane

Faith Int Arcane Miquella has weird lore implications at least for weapons in relation to her So my fun but retarded 40 faith int arc build might actiually have a place in the dlc But yeah The actual scalings in this game is a pain in the ass Fundemental incants are faith int But the golden order greatswords pure faith Staff of loss doesnt have arcane scaling Despite boosting blood sorceries Lightning scales off dex on a weapon But the gravelstone seal has no dex scaling Despite strength getting its own strength seal Wakizashi not having a crit modifier Shortsword not having a crit modifier Carian longsword being a actual warcrime in the scaling department Its like a quality+intelligence weapon With shitty letters in everything to “ballance” it Its a shame to cuz i can imagine ppl just choosing a magic longsword with carian greatsword Missing out on the absolute sexiest straight sword in this game

​@@slaytora5235correction, it must have arcane scaling for that. This is not the same. Either a weapon has innate arcane scaling, or it can be added by blood and occult infusion. Sword of St. Trina is not infusable, so the sleep cannot be improved by anything.

Venomous Fang has become my favorite weapon in the game, extremely deadly with Bloodflame Blade and a Keen/Heavy Infusion with min Arcane + Faith. I'll try the Eochaid + Briar weapons next, they seem really fun.

I think blood infusion either high arcane and dex is best for Venomous fang. You can use both the white mask, kindred of rot exultation and Lord of blood exultation, so that when poison and blood proc, suddenly this weapon becomes absurdly strong.

Now my main is on a dual curved greatsword build. Elden Ring is the best.

I hope the dlc adds some scrabs with unique ashes of war like waterfowl or something. Cuz they already got that for some weapons like the godskin peeler and Lorettas halbard thing

I did a run with whips recently and they're actually very good. Solid damage, can stunlock most enemies, dual wield moveset bodies NPC invaders, great against stone enemies found in tunnels, surprisingly decent status, etc. Not the best weapon class but they're one of my favorite secondary options.

Been waiting for this video for a while. Finally a great Elden Ring weapons tier list that doesn't have Vyke's Spear at no.1. Looking at the end result I would have moved Regalia and Marais Executioner's Sword in S tier tho because the successive hits build with Winged Sword Insignia, Millicent's Prosthesis and Godskin Swaddling Cloth is still OP!

Agreed with most of it but it doesnt make much sense to compare the ruins greatsword with the blasfemous blade. They only have similar skills, but the weapon class and builds are completely diferent. I can't even imagine a build that can run both swords as viable option, so i think it deserves that S tier you were gonna give it

I made a fresh STR/ INT character for the DLC (after doing FAITH/ DEX and Arcane), and I confirm that the Ruins Greatsword is MASSIVELY slept on. If you build for it, it is very comparable to the BB in terms of “it will beat the game for you”.

Yeah, while the BB is objectively better, the Ruins GS is still broken and has different uses. For instance, since it is a pure strength weapon, you can use it for AoE trash clearing alongside a Lions Claw Giants crusher and the combo is possibly even stronger than the BB alone.

Damn dropping this video right before patch 1.12 changed a lot of things

Impaling thrust is a perfect match for most greatswords. It deals the highest stance damage possible on them, and solves the lack of poking attacks (except claymore of course).

The vulgar militia shotel is pretty solid for magic infusions, it has lowish requirements and gets decent ar and with elemental damage the shield pierce becomes quite a bit more effective. Pest glaive also has low requirements and is very light, so again it can make sense on magic/flame/sacred.

One thing I really like about this game is they balanced the weapons (for the most part) around trade-offs so you feel like you can experiment and use weapons for aesthetic reasons and not feel like you're struggling the whole time. My 2 favourite weapons in the whole game are the Watchdog's Greatsword and the Golem Halberd. They absolutely slap and I don't care that I technically could be using something better in the same class lol Also Duelist Greataxe with blood infusion gets 156 bleed per hit at 40 arcane as an fyi- that bleeds most enemies in 2 hits and most bosses in 3-4 while also staggering them Good vid

I'm actually using a frost infused Duelist Greataxe on my DLC character. Even tho it's classified as a colossal, the Duelist GA has a high motion value on its charged attack (like all axes do), which makes it perfect for war cry builds and also makes it a beast for applying status effects. I hit over 3000 damage in a single hit against Niall with a +18 while only meeting the base weapon requirements with no golden vow or fgms, and I even managed to apply frost to Borealis. It's certainly hard to use, but I think it deserves higher than D tier

A yess a three hour video, this walk shall be legendary

I really like Lordworn's Greatsword for some reason. It's not flashy or anything but in like 5 minutes you can go grab the greatsword, buy impaling thrust, slap it on there, and start firing off a fairly quick, good range attack with 33 stance damage and follow it up with boosted crits. I'm not going to say it's S tier by any means but the level of power it gives you for as early as you can pick it up and as little investment as it requires to get online is honestly pretty wild.

You can get claymore just as early and it's far better. The only reason why you would use the Lord sworn over the claymore is for a cosplay build for the crusader in darkest dungeon.

Youre crazy if you think colossal greatsword is better than giant crusher or any of the colossal axes. Even zweihander is better than colossal greatsword because it has a better move set and is much lighter and has lower stat requirements

@@terrycruise-zd5tw its worse in everyother aspect. U have cheap ashes of war like giant hunt to beat the exceedingly few enemies that dont get stun locked by an r1. In return u get alot more range and comparable damage.

Don't forget that with the executioners greataxe, it has the highest crit damage in the game with fire affinity and an active fire buff on the actual axe from the ash of war because of its really high damage and crit rating. It even out damages that one French named Dagger

Godskin peeler actually has an editional hit in its animation that a lot of people don’t know about. Meaning it hits an editional time compared to other twin blades.

He’s finally made it!

IMO Celebrant’s Sickle definitely deserves to be higher than F tier. Even though the other Celebrant weapons suck the sickle has the second highest damage on keen infusion out of all the daggers only behind Wakizashi, so if you are powerstancing daggers on a keen build it’s a fantastic option, especially since it has longer range than the other daggers with great keen scaling, those being the Great Knife and Parrying Dagger.

Unless I'm mistaken, Celebrant's Sickle gets the bonus of piercing through shield, a la Shotel. This effect carries over into ashes of war, and it only weighs 1.5 units! Quite a good weapon to infuse and use ashes from, even if other daggers would be better to directly attack with!

This will be fun, because in preparation for the DLC, I farmed my character to have 50 in all stats, except for str and dex, that are 60, so I can use every weapon I find in the DLC, and I just spent a few hours upgrading every weapon to atleast +18 or +6 for the rare ones, so I can test them in the haligtree knights at the western gate site of grace, it was fun, using weapons that I never really gave credit that turned out to be really good, specially because those knights have a balanced poise. So comparing my experience to this list will be interesting.

For the dlc I’d like new ashes of war and spells for frenzy flame, dragon incantations and other neglected categories. The Banished Knight’s fire breath aow would be nice.

I’m wondering if FS will follow suit and have the majority of the best weapons be from the DLC? It’s hard to imagine anything being better than the Blasphemous Blade, Dark Moon Greatsword and Mogh’s Spear, but I’ll be excited to try whatever they managed to concoct in these past two years.

Bastard sword seems to be the best Option for eraly Str/Arc Bleed/Poison and and such also as dualweild with Marai to brake stances with jump-attack to remove all for-thought the Echoid dancing Blade ussuly needs.

Ruins Greatsword also gets a special charged heavy that deals extra damage.

Dual weilding blasphemous and the gold wave soul farm sword were my main build on ng. Smashed though the whole game no problem.

I love the Claymore and the Nightrider Glaive 😊

Hello i am new to game, very cool video im looking forward to testing some of those weapons, you said something about "weight" mattering when it comes to Colossal Sword? Zwehanda being low weight matters? does lower weight on weapon make it attack faster? or is it just for the dodge ability (Medium load heavy load etc.) I am not too sure how the stats work in this game :x

Less weight means less points you have to invest in endurance to wield it without equip load buffs or really light armor. The animations are completely separate from the weight of a weapon

Tier lists are better than fully ranked lists. This is the way

Considering the Blasphemous Blade has the same L2 of the Ruins Greatsword but better it should also be Collosal Sword. That thing is huge when Rykard holds it and when we get it it's merely a Greatsword. I do understand that it would be a nerf because it would have a much worse moveset but that's the point, it's way too OP. It would still be OP but a bit worse. Balancing it a bit.

Literally the best weapon ranking list.

Inseparable swords is pretty good in the fact that it's highly effective against undead, so probably an A tier weapon for that reason alone.

Uchigatana's niche is that its the best Katana for Strength which has some value

I love how terrible the celebrant weapons are given that they are easily the worst weapons to farm for. The Magma Blade, infamous for being annoying to farm, took like half of the amount of time that it took me to get the celebrant rib rake alone.

Been in love with the Guts sword since I first tried it and was happy and unsurprised to see it listed as broken. Been two handing it with cold infusion Lion's Claw for 2 years. My favorite part of it (aside from the damage) is the range and how you can attack almost every angle in a huge sphere around you if you use the camera right, and even use thrust attacks in small spaces by crouching. I just wish it looker. Make it black or something

@noamias4897 Good stuff 😂🤝 Also found out you can whack on Bloodboil aromatics for 30%phy dmg but u lose 25%dmg negation for 60 sec. Also putrid pots can proc the Poison/rot tasilsman than buffs dmg if they occur in vicinity then a poison bulosses to cure. (you can switch out for another talisman like charge attack one as soon as it procs). Then obv you got flame grant me strenght an gold vow ontop. Just watched sum do this with Giant-Crusher Hammer. Aint gon lie tho this might be better with greatswords an thee Flame element on ash of war.

I actually really like the way the skill works, since the initial explosion is very quick and pretty much guaranteed to hit (not to mention surprisingly good at crowd control and as a defensive measure), and against small foes and npcs it stuns them enough to grantee hitting with the wave, so it's kind of a true combo machine. (NPCs actually dodge the follow up, but always get hit by the wave since the whole skill is a 3 hit combo) The skill damage is also really good against anything not resistant to holy, so I find it surprisingly useful against any small foe and npc fight. That said, holy resistant bosses are a big issue for it, and the animation being long means that quicker ones are too, so I wouldn't consider it a good weapon against bosses in general (besides Death Birds, but there's plenty of other, admittedly less cool, tools for them) So if we were dividing this in weapons to use on bosses and on normal enemies, I'd actually have the Golden Order Greatsword in S for the normal ones, but low B or maybe even high C for bosses. So I mostly agree with your ranking on it overall, but I think it deserves getting this pointed out.

Golden Order Greatsword just needs its animation of the ash of war sped up. The Wrath of Gold should be almost instantaneous and the the follow up should come out faster and have better tracking and give the sword lingering holy buff. Make it strong, it should be the go to faith weapon for holy damage.

I found on accident how actually good guts sword with lionclaw is, can't believe u mentioned it. Giga broken l2. Does insane dmg, closes gaps hard to miss u can ussualy follow up with r1 just so fun to use

They fixed the Godslayer Greatsword's hyper armor in patch 1.12!
