Ricky, should have sung more lead..... But, Bobby knew he was more thn just a backup singer. And showed that in his solo career.

These guys are 50 PLUS and can blaze a stage better than any young cat coming up that has never taken notes from acts like them.

It's interesting to compare this Telephone Man with an appearance they made on Soul Train about a year earlier. Bobby is showing out on this one, while the earlier show is pretty ordinary. It might have been painful at times, and I'm sure the movie will show how much, but Bobby pushed his own career and theirs to greater heights. And everything happens for a reason. Johnny became part of the crew, in a few years we also get BBD, and it seems that all fences are mended now with age and wisdom. God bless all these guys. They sure represent a time in a lot of our lives and that's not a small thing.

Beyonce's inspiration for her 2011 VMA performance. I appreciate her paying homage to my favorite R&B group. Thank you!

It must have hurt to hear Dick Clark say that with so many records sold they could not just go to the movies but they could buy a movie theater, knowing full well that when the sun went down that day, they went back home to their project apartments and had earned nothing more than $1.87 after having sold a double platinum album...and Mike clearly lied when he said they have arguments but don't physically fight when they physically fought often (The New Edition Story (2017) on BET! Poor kids....used and abused by a crooked producer and record company. Thank God they persevered!!!

Well....that's what they THOUGHT! Couldn't afford to even GO to the movies, much less buy them with $1.87....split 5 ways. Sad. Love these guys so much!!!

Just hit the Culture tour myself this past Friday in Oakland, im 47 years old and seeing New Edition WITH ALL 6 ORIGINAL MEMBERS was put on my bucket list about 2 years ago, what a treat it was to see them. Again, 47 years old and I damn near cried like a baby when they did “Jealous Girl” (with Bob on the lead) and “Is This The End”……(almost during “My Secret Didja Gitit Yet”)….Ronnnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph, and Johnny too…thank you for being such a staple of my childhood to adulthood…much love from San Jose, Bay Area ✌🏼
