Wow, all I can say is WOW!!!! I have been holding out on buying locking pliers as I am not interested in the overseas made irwin vise grips. And I just couldn't quite bring myself to buying a competitive brand from europe. I have been buying used from flea markets and pawn shops for way too long. I love the story of how these are built in the old visegrip plant. Kudos to Malco for investing the time and money to make a quality piece here in the states. I am so excited

Finally a decent pair of vice grips. The part at the end, where it is threaded, that's where my pair failed me, and now I have a hose clamp on it, to cut me while I use them. They were some off brand, can't remember exactly. I have a actual "vice grips" brand one and it works good. I am ashamed to admit after using vice grips for decades, I never thought to tighten the adjuster screw once tightened. LOL maybe that's why I have a love hate relationship with them. To me, when I use them, it's already a bad day. It means something is rounded off or I broke the head off a bolt...So they need to be "throw proof" as well. Dragging them down a road for half a mile should abuse them even more than me.

Okaaaaay, so how do you buy these? I went onto their website, and it made me fill out my name, email address, the industry I worked in, & how I heard about the pliers which I put @ClientGraphics down and POOF nothing. Are these not for sale?

The new Vise - Grip ones suck! I lived in De Witt, NE for twenty four years. It was the life force of that town. Once they left everything shut down. Bravo to Malco!

Snap-On has then rebranded for them. The finish is different and so is the name. So technically they are not the same. But yes Malco makes the Snap-On ones.

@@ClientGraphics I got mine today. I immediately did a side by side against my ? mid 1980's Petersons. The Malco's needed a touch of lube out of the box. a drop of lite oil on the pivots, and a lite touch of Lucas Red N Tacky on the threads of the adjustment screw. (To be fair, the Irwins have had 40 years to get buttery smooth though) The teeth on the Malco's are nice and sharp. The malco's are a touch heavier, but that's fine. The finish on the Malco's is beautiful, and actually seems better than what the original finish on the Irwins was. I like the hex on the adjustment screw. Overall-- very happy I snagged them. Really did not need them- but they feel good in hand, and will outlast me!

@@ClientGraphics kinda figured they weren't available yet considering the ones they made for snap on haven't been out very long. Was going to get a pair of those but $70 for snap on stamp seemed a little much, especially i can get them straight from the source soon. I know they still won't be cheap but im definitely down to spend the 40 dollars for a great tool and support my local people.
