Designed by my father Gerry Rippon , and completed in 1973, she stands alone on Eastern hill and has, , from the penthouse, the most amazing 360 degree view of Sydney...... Cheers. S

With those sensible changes to teak and doors.... should almost be easy to maintain....... but really, It's so handsome...... and looked like it would be quite comfortable all the way to Queensland with a sensible Dan Murphy stash in the lazarette.... Fascinated by your memories of the time you spent here in England.

I’d usually go modern/sporty but I really like this. Would suit our kind of boating ‘down’ here in Poole.

Perfect Dan. That FlexiTeek is a game-changer for sure. Such well built boats, real pride of ownership would be instant. Shame there's not a tender on the platform for reference. 11/10.

Most owners opt for the inflatable tender in the lazarette, along with a built in compressor - allowing inflating and deflating in minutes. Great to be able to keep that platform space and aesthetics.

Id be remiss if I didnt mention how much it feels like your video presentations have improved. and pleased that things keep moving instead of researching every bit of storage and switch label which somewhat drops the pace and lowers the impact, especially on this lovely boat. cheera

They are beautiful boats for sure, Yanmar is an interesting choice, i'd expect Volvo, i wonder at parts availability, i associate Yanmar more with sailing in the 75-150hp range, the lack of a seperate shower makes it a no for me, especially at that price, great vid as ever Dan.

Yanmar have great support and easy parts accessibility. The engine is essentially the land cruiser engine, so well tested and shown reliable and powerful.

Is Yanmar not popular in the States? We have lots of them here with no issues finding parts. I'm assuming you're in the States Anthony? As Sam said the shower is another layout option.

Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks like a great "chase boat" to tow behind a main yacht... I know it's not the typical chase boat, but you could certainly go island hopping in that for a few days while the main yacht refuels, reprovisions, etc.

Ahhh i feel like you've delivered this video just for me! Gyro in a 35, traditional shaft drive and a wonderful day boat! Only thing, is because it's Euro built, 1.7m is a lot for a 35 petrol driven boat, but take into account the gyro is bloody expensive!

Diesel! She's a diesel powered boat. Seems like everything i test these days is over a brick. Inflation is crazy down here. Also British built, not Euro. I wonder if Quick gyro is another option to Seakeeper to keep the costs down?

I a.ways thunk of Duchy as like a true day boat or sightseeing boat. I don't see them having a use for fishing, trolling, skiing, or even staying on for a period of time such as if you were on an island on the Blue Highway near Indonesia. Maybe a day or 2, but even that seems tough.

I think the 35 is ok for a decent time aboard as it has the second cabin or storage area. The 27 yes would be 1 night max i think.

Its a very nice boat but 1 million and a wet head. No thanks. Definitely a gentleman cruiser that won't go out for more than a day.

1.7m nah, buy a used Dutch made yacht.. Poms can't make cars sure they don't make boats that last..
