This is a truly AMAZING house, it is suffused with magic and charm and it feels like a hug from bottom to top, I am really jazzed to see it! One of the surprising plusses is where you can put your litterbox. I think you may have found a perfect spot for it and that is my one wish for our own house of dreams. The house we bought has a jaw dropping view out the back (for being in the center of Tucson, Arizona) but it was not designed to be kitty-friendly and we talk all the time about how we could make that happen. We have not come upon a solution yet, so we are pining for kitties and hope the future will have them in it. But your house is truly just right and it feels like you could hardly live anywhere else. My heart was so full to see the little deer towards the end and I sense all the lovely nature around you. This is a home where love will abound and the natural world is at your door to welcome you. 😻

Here are some tips that helped me. 1. Plan towards it 2. Be frugal and minimal on spending (don't buy why you don't need ) 3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k) 4. Build an emergency fund 5. Save to invest, this is the most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success.

Love the white house...you can think of adding more curtains...a heater or fire place for cold days and extra window panes to prevent the cold maybe

I can empathize with your feeling of needing to be in the city center to be connected. I live alone and work at home and think I would feel lonely and disconnected if I lived more in the country. I find being in a lively neighborhood gives me energy but sometimes yearn for more space from people who are not considerate of being in closer location to others. Hard to choose one or the other situations! I love the romantic details and all the white floors/walls. I think the decorations and furniture pop more and it keeps it feeling light. Enjoy it! Looks like you will have fun with it!

It's lovely. I would paint the horns a thin coat of white and before it is completely dry wipe some off to let the gold peek through. I painted a mirror black and then realized it was too much and I went over it with white letting the black show through and now I love it.

It's a lovely house with a lot of potential! The kitchen/wood couch might work well in the glass entrance. A little landing place for people and groceries and things, for putting on shoes etc. Very Scandinavian! :) A slip over linen cover for the blue kitchen couch might solve the color problem.

Awesome:) I love your new house! I'm pretty much a city girl too. I loved to live in center of Helsinki when living back in Finland. But now after more than 10 years living abroad and most of it in California I dream about a little summer house outside Helsinki.... Let' see:)

Thank you so much to the house tour! I can see why you are so excited about it, I love the exposed beams and the wooden floors! In our younger years we bought an older home here in Canada and found our basement floors were so cold it basically made it uncomfortable to be down there. But because we had three teenagers we needed the space so we put in in-floor hot water heating. It was a total and absolute game changer. It’s actually made the basement completely livable and the heat even rose into the second floor and made it cozier as well. Now we have built our own home and of course in floor heating went into the basement and even into our garage. Winter can be very cold in Canada and climbing into a warm car and cozy garage is wonderful. In our upstairs bathroom, where we do not have in floor heating, We put in an electrical mat under the slate tiles and it stays toasty warm all winter!

If your new laundry room has access to the garden, and the toilet room there as well, you will find it great for when dirty people (children, dogs, etc) come in from the garden or outdoor activities. A place to strip all the wet and dirty clothes off before showering and going upstairs clean. Rather than dripping mud over all of your white floors!

What a lovely house ...and so much space ... Dream kitchen indeed. But I agree it needs color accents to make it more cozy and homelike ... I think accents in sage green or greyish blue would look wonderful and not to dark . Pillows or rugs in a bit darker color blue , but not to bright so it will keep looking light and calm

what a beautiful home you have! I'm sure you will have many happy years and will make many happy memories there. I like the little blue sofa. One thing you might consider to tone down the colour would be to make a little slipcover for it out of a thin white cotton lawn. The colour would show through, but the sheer fabric would bring the brightness down.
