New Documentary Gives Insight Into Iconic DJ Casey Kasem's Last Days
Two-and-a-half years after the death of Casey Kasem, a new documentary claim to recreate the final days of the iconic DJ. The Reelz Channel's Autopsy: The Last Hours of Casey Kasem, which will air December 10, depicts the 82-year-old legend as malnourished and in severe pain after his second wife, Jean, removed him from his nursing home. His daughter, Kerri, watching portions of the upcoming documentary with Inside Edition, said: "What my dad went through was tortuous, inhumane and wrong." #InsideEdition

It is shameful that greed and jealousy have become synonymous with his legacy. A man who brought so much joy to so many. Tarnished in this way. It is undignified.
As a person who's been totally blind since birth, I'm working on my goal to DJ at big events. I was a big fan of Casey for a long time, and waking up every Sunday morning to listen to his show was something I looked forward to. Every moment of it was great, but my favorite part of it was the long distance dedications. I feel very lucky I had the chance to meet him and keep in touch with him. And I'm thankful he encouraged me to "Keep my feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars" to continue with my future career as a DJ.
