I have the RS2 but on long shoots it is heavy and bulky to travel with. The RS3 mini has filled this gap perfectly and is a great compliment to the larger gimbals from DJI.

The most affordable and portable RS3 but I’m still getting that solid stabilization. So far I’m loving this mini version.

I have this one. This is my best purchase in 2023. Ideal for sigma FP with contemporary lenses.

It’s good but I think my lenses are too heavy (g master 24-70mm & sigma 1.4 50mm), I always have trouble with balancing, it may work in „last second“ with the last try’s 😂

What size lens is that? If you don’t mind me asking

Which camera model and leans?

Is it compatible with the Sony a7iv + Sony 24-105mm lens?

​@@markshirley01me too. The mini has some restrictions on some functionality and payload of Max 2 kgs but has real advantage in size and gimbal weight. Also battery isn't removable.

Compatibile con sony pxw x 70?

I returned the mini because the base Rs3 gets the job done 100% of the time instead of 80% of the time. The mini just gave me way too many issues.

I had issues with the motors giving out with my sigma 24-70mm well balanced on an a7iv. It would also hit the back of my camera due to lack of clearance in portrait mode. If I have to question whether or not I'm going to get the shot - I'm getting something else.

No, for active track you would need the DJI LiDAR Range Finder (RS) and the DJI RS3 mini does not support the DJI LiDAR Range Finder (RS), only the DJI RS3 Pro.

no, at this time there is not a focus motor for the DJI RS3 mini

At this time there are no focus motors from DJI that are compatible with the RS3 mini. The focus wheel controls the focus electronically to the camera through the control cable.

The DJI RS3 Mini is a great option for your camera set up. However, there aren't many gimbal options that will allow camera control to your camera since it is an older model. But! That doesn't mean you can't use them. You are still able to balance your camera on the RS3 Mini and use it to stabilize video footage.

No..once you balance it in the beginning your good to go. You would have to give it a serious knocking for it to go offcenter. Happy shooting

Its not a showdown , its a bloodbath with the rs3 having 2,4x bigger battery , 500 gram more payload , the dji quality ( comapred to zhiyun ) and better app support

Aint a showdown my dude The mini has 2400 mah battery vs 1100mah 2kg payload vs not even declared 1,5kg max Djo quality compared to zhiyun Better app support More arm adjustment Not in white ( yellows real quick ) And at the same price ? The m3 gettin slaughtered

Looks not too shabby. I think DJI probably abducted a Crane M3 and used it as a baseline to build something better than the M3 could ever be.

yes, technically the EOS 77D would be able to properly balance on the RS3 mini since it is under the weight limit. however, it is not compatible to use with camera control.

You could balance an iPhone 13 on the RS 3 Mini, but it's designed to be used with cameras,

yes, the A7iii is compatible with bluetooth shutter on the RS3 mini, for capture photo, and start/stop video
