Have you had a chance to give it a proper test yet? If so, is it any good? How does it compare to your Makita 9403?

To answer your question, yes, it is good, but for lighter work, the makita 9403 is much more powerful they really don't compare to each other

@@quickfirefred34 Thank you. I have other Dewalt gear, a plethora of XR batteries and liked the idea of cordless but suspect I'll need the power of the Makita.
That is so frustrating! I was after a DeWalt belt sander about a year and half ago and couldn't find anything from DeWalt. Gutted

I have been after a cordless belt sander for years. I was hoping Makita would bring one out, but this is a good one by Dewalt

Yea only in the usa and maybe canada it is called 20 volt max, which is also 18 volt, but milwaukee has a patent on the 18 volt name in NA
