Any State, CIty, or Federal worker who is put on paid leave while being investigated for a crime that took place while on duty should have to pay back the money retroactively to the day the crime took place if they are found to be guilty of said crime.

DEI training bruh. Always a 10 year delay in catching up to the mainland. The pubic is aware and those on the internet circuit are too well aware of culture wars on these very politicized issues. Workplaces need to catch up for risk management. These stories can't be swept under the rug if that was the functional culture within human resources to "deal" with these concerns. Financial settlements will be costly, especially if repeat offenses in different contexts signal a system wide culture wide infringement of human rights. Lawyers should have a field day knowing that the overall complicit complacent collectivistic culture that used to permeate HI government is not. going . to fly any more. Especially in high stakes public sectors when there are political wolves waiting to make examples. No more ambulance chasing when the public is hungry for accountability in a political year.

The state investigators got nothing better to do. Imagine if everyone got arrested for saying derogatory stuff at work lol. I don't know the whole story but sounds like this should be handled administratively and not tying up the court system. They're letting real criminals out and then spending time and resources on this? What a joke.
