Fantastic review. I just bought this unit this weekend then I found your video. I'll be adding the 1/4" valve before using as it'll probably make the after-use cleaning easier if nothing else. I used your link for the quick connects I was already getting anyway as a thank you for the great video and valve idea. Thanks again! T.

  • @aaronstestlab

    3 жыл бұрын

I personally do have several sets, simply from doing a number of these videos. However, when I only had one, I think I attached male ends to the long gun and the shorty and left the high-pressure outlet coming out of the pressure washer alone. Doing it this way, you'll still have to thread the hose on during setup, but are then free to swap guns mid-job.

I just spoke to Lowes. They said if I buy their 2 or 3 year extended warranty ($30 to $35) for the 2100 psi unit that sells for $199), it turns Craftsman's warranty into a 5-6 year warranty, and covers all of this: 1) accidental damage; 2) parts; 3) shipping to and from a repair place. You bring it to the store. Then If it's during the 1st 3 years, they might ship it to Craftsman's repair center. After 3 years, they send it to their own repair provider. But no shipping fee either way. If it can't be repaired or replaced, they give you a full refund of the pressure washer. I didn't ask them much about the Craftsman warranty on its own, but it sounded like it was far more limited and definitely didn't cover accidental damage. I almost never get an extended warranty, but for what this one covers for 5 to 6 years, I'm surely going to do it. I think the odds are high that by the end of those years, I'll have either gotten a lot more than my money's worth. I tried calling around to get warranty info on half of the other manufacturer's and they all seemed fairly bad. The biggest issue is the shipping, as most of the time there isn't an authorized repair center within a decent drive, and shipping is pricey. There are 2 Lowe's within 10 minutes of me. The other big issue is parts, because: 1) some of those will break during the warranty; and 2) some parts will be out of stock because the models are old. So you're stuck buying a new washer. With the Lowe's warranty, if they don't have the parts to fix it, and if there's no full units available, you get a full refund. I assume that because the 1900 PSI unit is under $150, that the extended warranty is more like $20 or $25 for the 2 year.
